LearnGermanwithSeedlang is incredibly well made and detailed. The videos for EVERYTHING is awesome. They have scoring systems, stories, trivia games you can play against others, everything.

I gave it a 4 star rating because there was an annoyance that I found when typing in multi word answers. I REALLY wish they would make it so if I enter a space, it would automatically put the cursor in the next word. Having to reach up with my thumb to select the next box seems unnecessary when we can just have the space auto traverse to the next field.

That being said, if it were fixed, I’d come back to update to 5 stars. LearnGermanwithSeedlang is great and I feel like I’m going to learn a lot from it!!

Seedlang has been an amazing resource for learning German for me. It offers a lot of different kinds of practice (individual vocab, vocab within premade sentences, drilling genders and plural forms, etc) and each card comes not only with audio, but even with video of a native speaker showing you how to mouth the word. It’s well worth the subscription cost, though you don’t even need a sub for everything.

I have one problem with LearnGermanwithSeedlang in particular that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. Considering how this is a mobile app, and many people have limited data per month, I wish there was a setting to turn off videos when you’re not on wifi. Or better yet, a way to download the assets for your decks to save data. The website’s perfect but I have to give LearnGermanwithSeedlang 4 stars as I feel like I can’t use it away from wifi with my limited data

German is my second language, but it’s been almost 30 years since I lived in Germany and spoke German daily. I listen to German audiobooks regularly so I have good comprehension skills but my spoken German has degraded considerably. I needed serious help with restoring my active vocab and relearning word genders and plural forms. Seedlang is amazing! I wish I had this when I learned German the first time. Seedlang not only provides an entertaining, interactive, and visually pleasing experience, it provides the learner with the ability to tailor and customize the learning experience. When you encounter a difficult word or phrase, just add it to your “My Reviews” queue. The My Review function brilliant! It allows you to review all those difficult words, genders, plural forms, etc whenever you want and to customize the frequency with which you see them in the queue. Seedlang also provides the learner with context-specific rules for gender and plural forms which are SUPER helpful. I wish I had learned these rules ages ago. Highly recommended.

Seedlang is the best German learning tool I have used. They way they explain each lesson is very clear. I like that you get practice hearing, speaking, and writing the language. After speaking, you can playback your recording to help improve your pronunciations. You can create review cards, which has really helped me with lessons I struggled with. The training tools and trivia games have made such a difference in my understanding and applying the language.

I’ve used Seedlang to supplement my German studies since I started at the A1 level. I’m now C1 level, with a certificate to prove it, and Seedlang has been an integral part of me teaching this point. I highly recommend LearnGermanwithSeedlang . It’s thorough, and makes learning German fun. The subscription rate is also very reasonable, especially if purchased for months/a year at a time!

I have used the web based version for about a year with great results. Now that it’s an app, all the better. I can study on the go and the developers seamlessly integrated all of the awesome content so there’s no loss of the great experience when shifting from online to mobile. I’ve used half a dozen apps, this is by far the most effective and engaging. Seedlang has created something unique, with the videos of real people and customizable decks, they‘ve created an app that feels very tailored and personal, it feels like private tutoring without the cost of private tutoring.I especially love the encouraging messages at the end of each deck, I normally find that sort of thing obnoxious and insincere but Cari’s messages feel very sincere. As someone who got a college degree online and now works in ed tech, I have some idea of how hard it is to accomplish what they’ve accomplished here. I truly haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else. And it works! I have short term memory deficiencies, and I’ve found that Seedlang‘s spaced repetition approach is very effective. After a couple of months of not using LearnGermanwithSeedlang because I was busy with other things, I came back and found that I remembered almost everything in my review decks.

I was already speaking German and had a large vocabulary when I got LearnGermanwithSeedlang. What I didn’t have was a knowledge of gender and plurals- for some reason I didn’t think this was important when I was first learning the language! LearnGermanwithSeedlang is so useful by combining the rules (yes, there are rules to gender!) and spaced repetition flashcards to really solidify your knowledge. Would recommend to any new or veteran German student!

Seedlang is absolutely the best German language learning app, bar none! Interactive with multiple ways to improve your vocabulary, listening comprehension, pronunciation and writing skills. The Easy German team works hard to continually improve and add to it. They always respond to questions and comments from users and so there is an ongoing discussion of the intricacies and complexities that make learning German challenging and fun. Simply the very best!

The activities are practical and useful. They cover various aspects of grammar and vocabulary in a memorable way. The videos help you remember vocabulary and the exercises that record you have helped me with pronunciation. I’ve never had technical issues and when I have grammar questions, I get responses in a timely manner. LearnGermanwithSeedlang is very interactive, unlike other language learning apps.

I‘ve used quite a few apps to learn German. The Seedlang app is very different and really helpful. It provides many various exercises to choose and learn from so that you do not get bored. I find it extremely helpful that you can leave questions/comments and the actual staff at Seedlang will respond with clear, detailed answers why German sentences are constructed the way they are. Great job with the Seedlang app!

I love how LearnGermanwithSeedlang builds my knowledge of common words with charming videos of phrases. I am learning pronunciation as well as grammar thanks to the explanations for each card and the rich discussion tab for each individual card. This is an indispensable tool in my self study, even with the occasional clunky interface issues. Ich mache Übungen auf Seedlang every day and you should too

This is the most fun language learning tool I’ve ever found! The videos always make me laugh, and the whole team is so charming. At the same time, the material has more depth than apps like Duolingo. Since I’m completing a reading course in German, I mostly use LearnGermanwithSeedlang to provide guidance for speaking, which it is very good for. I can’t say enough good things about LearnGermanwithSeedlang! Everyone learning German should be using it!

This is an amazing language program it is 1000 times better than Duolingo I don’t even write reviews but I had to write a review for this because seedling is excellent. The language and speaking format is really easy to use and very intuitive the response time is excellent and I never have a problem using it. This is great for pronunciation speaking and paired with Duolingo or Clozemaster this can be an excellent tool to Lauren german. A truly fantastic app

I have been using it along with listening to Easy German podcasts for a year. Was just in Berlin and people are impressed with my German pronunciation and they all surprised when I told them I’m just learning with an app and am not taking a course. I don’t have the discipline to really use it every day and sometimes I use it only once a week. I can only imagine how much better I would be if I really use it on a daily basis. Highly recommend it!

The way LearnGermanwithSeedlang is designed is efficient and effective! I don’t have a knack for language- I have to repeat and repeat several times before words finally stick in my brain. LearnGermanwithSeedlang mixes new words with review so keeps me reminded. It also gives you all stages of learning- recognize the word from multiple choice options to spelling it out from memory.

You not only learn vocabulary but see how words are used in sentences. You can learn plurals, conjugation, and listening skills from stories. There is even pronunciation help!!

Like any skill- one must spend time EVERY DAY to see progress but LearnGermanwithSeedlang makes that easy. I highly recommend to anyone who is serious about learning German- or to those who just want to save off dementia by exercising you brain.

I love languages and have dabbled in quite a few learning apps, but I can’t find anything comparable to Seedlang with other language learning software. Kari and Janusz really have gone above and beyond to make the best app possible for language learning. They use real life things with not just flash cards, but real life situations that can turn into flash cards. They take into account the articles and declination so you’re never in the dark about vocabulary and conjugations! Truly. Download LearnGermanwithSeedlang yesterday.

I LOVE Learning German with Seedlang! It offers live mini video stories with fun people illustrating real usage and grammar, with many different ways to learn throughout. And you choose your own review items from the varied content to repeat over longer and longer time frames. I love the full sentences to learn from day one, including hearing my own recorded try improving over time! I love being able to mix up my vocabulary-level learning (‘cause who doesn’t love big German words) while remaining in sequence for grammar. I just love Seedlang!

I researched over a dozen apps when I decided to learn German. This stood out to me by far because of how , clever, funny and intelligent it was. You must listen, speak, and read. The videos are entertaining and educational. The worksheets are perfectly scaffolded so I am never discouraged. You can edit the flash cards to suit your individual interests and abilities. They help you structure your reviews. I have a PhD in Education and have taught (history and polisci)for over 35 years, now retired. I could never have designed such an excellent curriculum. Thank you all at the Seedlang group for this delightful and effective program of study. Learning has never been so fun.

Seedlang is SO helpful at starting (or restarting) to learn German. The videos and audio of native and other fluent speakers are invaluable. I love the funny stories which really help me remember words. The Seedlang team offers such helpful support in the comments when anyone has questions, and the ability to practice vocab multiple ways is such a time saver (the last time I learned a language, I used physical flashcards)! This way, I can use any spare time to practice genders, plurals, or any specific vocab list, even when I’m out and about. I also love the trivia feature! I rarely pay for apps but if you can manage it, I can’t recommend the premium version of Seedlang enough! The free version is fantastic as well.

I have used many Apps throughout the years to try and learn German and I have found this one to be the most effective by far. For me it is engaging, funny, and relevant. I have not found this in another platform. 5 stars to the team who put this together and many thanks for providing such a great language learning tool!

The sentences you study are organized into entertaining “story decks,” which you can study in any order depending on your level and interests. The vocabulary is practical and colloquial, and you hear good models of connected speech. An excellent resource for practicing fluent recall of useful sentences in German.

Seedlang and Easy German have long been the best German language learning tools available. They have had a Webapp for some time, but it had some limitations that kept me from using it. That has all been fixed now with the native iOS app! Great job, guys!!

This is a wonderful app for learning German from the ground up or for reinforcing and extending the German base that you already have. . . Lots of fun. Each lesson is long enough to be a bit challenging and short enough to be doable. Cari and her cast of friends are positive and enthusiastic.

Perfect for German. It’s Wunderbär to Interact with different learning styles. I like that we get expression and the details are super! I do wish there was a third option for a one time price for long term learners.

This is, hands down, the best language learning tool I have ever used. It is so perfectly well thought out and such a pleasure to study German with that I couldn’t recommend it more. The Seedlang folks give you a third of it for free, so you can see for yourself how well it works. So here are a few observations. First, everything is clickable on a page, and every word and every sentence has a live video of a person saying the word or words. If you want you can save a sentence or a word which will show up in the practice deck. You can also determine how many words you want to study at a time in the vocab, gender, and plurals decks, which is a really great feature. The algorithm for the practice deck is flawless, and you decide the next time you want to see a word. The “stories” for presenting grammar are very good, appear sentence by sentence (which the student repeats into the mic), aren’t too long, and are fun and silly without being dumb. The people in the videos are everyone’s favorite Berliners from Easy German, and Cari and the others bring that same enthusiasm to Seedlang that they show in their Easy German interviews. One thing that has surprised me is that in the Trivia section they have taken the time to have both a correct and incorrect video for every single question. Where do they find the time to do that? Finally, each page has a comments section and many users take the time to add example sentences which I find useful. On top of that if you leave a question or comment the Seedlang crew will answer it quickly and thoroughly, and with good cheer to boot. I made a recommendation for a translation and the next day they had responded and added my suggestion. Seedlang has cracked the nut on what a language app should look like, and moreover have probably advanced digital learning in ways that they aren’t even aware of yet. Therefore, if Rosetta Stone and other big language companies want to stay relevant they will have to follow Seedlang’s lead with this kind of format. On the other hand, Seedlang is so far ahead of anyone else with its app, content, and fresh approaches to language pedagogy that they could probably become the premier language company once they expand beyond German. I’m really blown away by what they’ve accomplished so far, and am so thankful to have it available to help me learn German. Thank you so much Seedlang, and keep up the good work!
