Good game just needs a bit of tweaking

I’ve had the game for about 3 days now and I just wanna say it’s amazing. I love the space invaders style of games a lot. I also love that there are different ships and stuff with unique abilities to help you with harder levels and bosses. Another thing that I rarely ever see any more in games is that there isn’t any forced ads. Of course there still are ads but you don’t need to watch them they’ll just help you get stuff to give you a little boost.

However I would give 5 stars but the game just has such high prices for new ships and that. Especially just starting the game you’ll get all these blueprints for ships you don’t even have. Also the premium subscription I personally don’t mind but 20$ every 30 days is a little high maybe like 5$-10$ I’d be fine with. Lastly the ads. I know I said there’s no forced ads but there still are ads. 2 ships at the time of this review you need to watch ads to unlock. One ship you have to watch like 30-40 ads to unlock it and the other ship is 80 ads to unlock. Now from what I can tell getting the premium thing will remove these ads but for the players who don’t wanna spend money. They are gonna have to watch a lot of ads just to unlock a ship.

All in all though the games a lot of fun. Even though it’s kinda difficult to unlock new ships and stuff it’s not impossible and you don’t need to purchase anything to get to the top as far as I can tell at the moment.

I’d rate it higher but…

Umbra stone update is very disappointing and not good. I spent tons of resources to upgrade umbra stone and finally upgrade it and then you suddenly change out of nowhere and make it weak. If you simply made a change option, similar to tier 3 ships, for the new function or shadow clone of your squad function, like it was before, it would have been fine. Also, the notification circle icon is not a highlighted feature that’s underscored and spotlighted enough to prompt players to notice it. Several of the foreign language members of our guild don’t receive chat notifications or Guild War notifications so there’s no way to communicate with them or let them know Guild War is now an active event that they can and should participate in. The only option is to kick them out of the guild or ignore the fact that they don’t know about it and participate. Another negative aspect of the game is the reward prizes for winning Hunter and Adventure tournaments that take 2 weeks to complete are minuscule, basically negligable, and should be drastically increased to triple or quadruple the current amount and add 100 cards of your choice or something much more worth the time required to win them. Other than that, it’s a decently fun nostalgic game that requires huge amounts of play time to progress and large sums of money for tiny bits of progress and minimum bits of rewards as the only practical way to play past tier 1 is pay for premium.

Worst Customer Service / purchases don’t get credited

Played the game and I enjoyed it, so I decided to spend some money on some in app purchases. Account gets charged, but you don’t receive all of them right away. Bought a ship for $8 but had to wait almost a day to get it. Had to go thru customer service who wanted screen shots to prove I had purchased them. Thinking that was a one time thing, I purchased a few more in app purchases a few days later. Only got 1 purchase right away. Contacted customer service again in order to get the 2nd purchase. I was then instructed to record a video of my opening screen as well as a video of me proving (a video of my purchase history thru Apple) that I had really made the purchase thru Galaxiga . … but you can’t send a video because the file is to large. And apparently a picture of my Apple receipt and a pic of my purchase history wasn’t enough proof that I had purchased anything. All and all I spent $40 and received 2 in app purchases directly after purchase, 1 received almost a day after purchase, and 1 wasn’t received at all. I guess I’m a liar. They will not receive another cent from me. Play the game, but make purchases at your own risk. I wouldn’t trust them …. I found out the hard way.

Pay to play

This game is advertised through AMC movies I downloaded to play during a wait with friends to pass time. As I progressed about 4 levels it was apparent from the store that to buy the game out right and have 1 great ship with 2 side kicks and a boost stone you will without a doubt spend 150$ to get it. This is one set up of 4 that you can run as extra life’s. 150$x4 and that’s just beating the story mode without loosing the time you would actually have to put in to beat the campaign. As for boss raids. Defeating bosses plan on the 150$x4. If you in fact are a saint and can watch 50,000 advertisements and battle every story mode from easy to hard. You would probably log over 300 hours on this game 150$x4 and 300 hours is still a low ball on the real numbers. 😂 I enjoy the game I’ve spent about 50$ and I’m only on the second planet. And barely. Barely have 1 decent ship. I’m dealing about 100k damage and these ships and sidekicks can get well above that. Well above that. I love the game. I’m completely dissatisfied with how corporate has controlled everything about this simple game. I will continue to play. Just not happy. I’d rather play cheaper game that’s possibly better on the store. The store on this game is massive.

The Orb 1042

The game is a good time killer but you had better be ready to spend some bank or have more patience than the law allows. The designers are genius if you ask me, they have formulated it so you will never be able to actually finish the game but will spend $100’s if not $1000’s in your attempt to do so. You can max out your ships, drones and stones thinking “Wow I’m almost at the top of the heap and I should really be able to ascend the ladder” just in time for the designers to add another tier to the aforementioned, thereby making your existing ships and stones obsolete.

Trust me, they have definitely thought this thing through, if you are the type of personality who plays to win or needs to finish what you have started, then they have you. You will always want to reach that end goal but you will never get there as no matter how much patience you have nor money you have in your pocket, they will continue to stay one step ahead and dangle that nice juicy carrot that will always be just out of reach.

Won’t even start with how much of your lifetime that will be lost slogging your way through the unbelievable amounts of adds necessary to receive the paltry “gifts”. These folks are clever.

Fun at first, but quickly becomes crazy grind

Been playing for about a year now. At first the game is fun and entertaining, mostly because it’s challenging, but still do able. Once you’re ready to advance to higher levels, you hit the first paywall. So be prepared to either GRIND like you’ve never grinded before, or pay lots of money to get to the next level. Even if you drop $100’s, all that does it get you to the next paywall faster…and the paywalls are endless. The matchmaking in the PVP mode is practically nonexistent, meaning you’ll often get matched against someone who you have zero chance to win against, forcing you to upgrade your ships. But then, many of the ships you need to merge with others (which is required to upgrade said ships) are also locked behind either an insane grind or massive paywall.
In short, the game is fun at first, but if you’re not intending to play for hours a day for months in end or spend thousands of dollars, then this isn’t the game for you.

A keeper!

I’m a big fan of this game. I really appreciate the fact that the ads are presented as “watch an ad to get X” rather than “oh, you finished a level? Watch an ad or you can’t proceed.” The game play is fun, and gets quite challenging as you progress. That kind of necessitates collecting stuff the strengthen your ships. I’m a sucker for collecting and upgrading, so I’m happy with that. I e paid a little bit, primarily as a “kudos developers” (I see it as plenty fair to pay a couple bucks for the hours of entertainment I’ve gotten), but you could totally play this game free…you just need to spend time on watching the ads. Get it! It’s a good one!!

Enjoy the game but have to delete the app

Love the game but am finding myself in the sad position of having to delete the game app. Unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars to improve the strength of your space fighters, you can only get so far until the difficulty of the game outweighs the strength of your fighters. They do have free adds that you can watch that are about 30 seconds long to gain the necessary items to build your strength but it’s a pretty low return and will take you forever to build your strength that way. On top of that the update they’ve recently done arbitrarily cuts out on those adds and doesn’t allow you to watch them all. There’s no way to communicate with the designers of Galaxiga as the “feedback” button does not work. If they made it a bit easier to advance in the game then I might stick around, but as it is, I’ve spent way too much money for no visible return on investment.

I can’t even play

When I saw Galaxiga it reminded me of the one game I used to have that was like this one and it look fun, so I downloaded it. While I was downloading it I downloaded some other apps so I tried all of those ones first and they were fun, but then I tried this game. I was excited to play it and as soon as I clicked on it, the screen turned black for like a millisecond and then I just returned me to my home screen, I tried it again and again and it never did work. But I thought to myself “must be like a bug or something I’ll try tomorrow”. So here I am the next day deciding to try it again and then it does the same thing again. I was a little mad but I’m like such a nice person and gave the game another try. Later that day it still riding work, and this went on for a couple days. Finally deciding to write a review about this so I can help the creator know this happened for some reason.

Love ( don’t actually love lol just trying to be funny)

Addictive but advancing is impossible w/o paying

I love this game and have developed a bit of an addiction, but there are a few features about this game that drive me crazy. For starters, advancing past a certain point in the game becomes near impossible without being willing to shell out tons of money and/or watching an insane amount of ads. Secondly, the multiplayer setting is super fun, but it has a tendency to match you up against players who are nowhere near your skill level, making it impossible to succeed. When you’re paired against people who are 100x more powerful than you, you basically have to forfeit or waste your time. The pairing system should be refined to pair you against players with a somewhat comparable skill level. This game is a great time waster, but hard to remain dedicated to.

Game glitch that needs to be fixed

You guys have a bug/glitch on your game in the menu’s, when i load up the game and get into the menu the 5 microtransaction offers that you guys constantly try to get me to buy take a few seconds to pop up. And in those few seconds that it takes for them to pop up, im able to hit single player mode BEFORE they pop up. When i do so, one of the microtransaction pop ups is stuck on screen and i cant hit the red X to get out of the screen, forcing me to close the game everytime it happens. I get you guys want to make money, but could you be alittle more considerate and fix it so that the microtransactions dont trap me anyone else that experiences this bug in the screen. Its already annoying we get spammed every single time we load into the game with literally 4-5 microtransaction offers, i dont want get stuck and have to close the game every time.

Adds for gear and tons of pay to win.

At first I was excited by the notion you could unlock the gear with adds unfortunately it was very limited, there isn’t a way to unlock the gear through actions in game without spending money after a certain point. You can try out many of the ships then they want you to spend 20-50$ per ship to unlock it. Their event capped you on what you could do until you either bought the chance to win one of the ships companions and required you to have it upgraded to continue. I played though the first level and did have fun but got more and more frustrated with the lack of ability to unlock and gear with harder and harder levels where my gear was unable to even destroy anything I spend 5-10min in one round just hitting the enemy ships with everything I could and really started to feel the game was a waste at that point. Hope this review helps!

Addictive and fun, just like the old arcade games

Don’t be fooledBut how easy this game is when you start out.
— It definitely gets harder. Almost too hard in fact when it comes to some of the bosses. As one other reviewer said, the bosses reach a point where they regenerate health and they’re very very hard to kill. It almost takes the fun out of the game. Otherwise I’m really enjoying it. You don’t have to spend money but if you decide to you can level up your ship more quickly and you’ll need to do that in order to pass some of the harder levels. I’m giving it four stars because of the steep increase in boss difficulty and for the interface not being particularly self-explanatory.

Fun, but rigged big time.

When I first starting playing this game I absolutely loved it. Didn’t mind having to watch ads for coins etc… I’ve come to realize after about 5/6 weeks of playing it’s a money eater. You simply cannot progress without spending big bucks. Every battle is rigged, you get right to the end and a magic bullet comes from nowhere and destroys your ship, you have to use up coins to win the battle. Over and over again this happens, I’ve killed the other guy, he’s dead, destroyed and from out of nowhere something appears and smashes my ship so I have to spend the precious coins to get the win. It’s so rigged and it’s so transparently rigged you’d have to be an idiot to not see it. I’m so disappointed in this game now. Thinking of leaving. 😡

It’s fun until a point.. Multi player is God awful

You complete a level then you have to wait until the other player catches up. They match you up with players less advanced and they somehow can hang. The ads don’t work and you lose out on bonuses..

Update several months later.. I hung in and the game has had many improvements and fixes including less issues relating to ads. However, as much fun as this game is the multiplayer game mode isn’t consistent. Even when you’re paired up against much less powerful players multiplayer mode can still be a dogfight for some reason.

Love this game

I’m a Gen xer so of course I love space games, because I grew up playing them. This is the first one that I’ve been able to half at figure out enough to be able to advance, upgrade ships , and upgrade drones. The multiplayer option is really a lot of fun too. I see a lot of people complaining that they have to spend a ton of money to advance, but with patience, it’s possible to do this without that. I do wish, however, that the Aventurine and Hunter modes would have a bigger payoff- it’s a lot of time spent for very little. But overall, it’s a fun game.

Fun game but the ads don’t work

I like this game, but when I try and watch ads to get more stuff, I get a “video unavailable” message. I’ve tried this game on two separate devices and had the same issue. This makes it super hard to collect shards to get more stuff. It’s getting to the point where I can’t get ships powerful enough to beat the levels in any reasonable amount of time. A level will take me 10 min to beat if I don’t die. I’ve spent hours on some of the hard levels. I was hoping for a game that was easy-ish and not too much effort. It was good for the first 45 levels, then it started to get extremely difficult. Hopefully they fix this issue with the ads so I can keep progressing.

Multiplayer Battles

Games pretty fun. I find myself really enjoying it. Only thing that gets me down is when you’re in multiplayer mode., in the beginning, you win a lot of the battles, but when you start advancing, the game begins to set you up with players with bigger and more advanced weapons than your own. So you get slaughtered easy. And the only way to keep up is you need to get add money to your account so you can keep buying stuff over and over. In the game begins to get too expensive for what it’s worth. Same with individual mode. I miss the games the way they used to be. I think I’m going is far as I could without having to pay for extra weapons. I may say goodbye to this game now. It’s sad.

Sketchy Practices Designed to Trick you -

Future Buyer Beware,

This game can be a lot of fun. But the problem resides the pushing of wrong-doing buyer ads. Galaxiga constantly pushes you to purchase packages, etc. There’s nothing wrong with that, a little annoying? Yes, but nothing new. What rates Galaxiga 1 star is the manipulation of tricking you to purchase one of these packages. For example: An ad package constant pops up before being able to play, but DOES NOT ALLOW you to exit the “x” in the corner - it basically freezes the screen, allowing the only touchable item to be the purchase button for $99. It’s the o my clickable application. It’s designed to trick you into making a mistake in purchasing the pricey package. It’s extremely shady and the designers should be shamed.

I will be reporting this to Apple for an investigation into wrong practice.

terrible customer service

The levels of the game get more difficult as you progress. its nearly impossible to increase rank or power without watching hundreds of ads, but that takes too long. i purchased a power pack, then was double billed two days later. customer service requests screen shots of my purchase history, screen shots of the game. that wasnt good enough, so they will only help if i provide a video of my game, with video of me logging into my apple purchases. yeah, right! they have been giving me the run around over a silly $4.99 purchase. i informed them i would drop the issue if i could see the items purchased in my account, ie, treasure boxes, increase in gems, power ups. the customer servise is apparently not admin, they are either powerless to help or dont care.

Fun Game, Low Reward

I am currently in world three after abstaining from making a VIP purchase. As others have mentioned, the coins are virtually useless. The games main currency is gems which help in upgrading your ships. Yet having 4 ships (2 @ 54k + power), various drones(11k-19k power), and stones, it is still a challenge progressing through world three.

For a regular level you can earn 2 gems on easy, 3 on normal, and 5 on hard. For boss levels you can earn 5 gems on easy, 9 on normal, and 15 on hard. This totals 414 gems across one world (30 levels total with 6 boss levels). Now this was plenty while getting through the first world, but made it challenging getting through the second and now exhausting getting through the third.

The problem is the rewards are exactly the same across the worlds, yet the difficulty goes up significantly. I love the game and I enjoy a challenge, but I am not inclined to make a purchase to simply complete the story mode. I will no doubt continue playing, and will enjoy what I can while I trudge along this world. If you’re willing to invest in their VIP starter packs, I think the game should be fairly more do-able and enjoyable.

Wow

The game play is great…. Fun… many different options of play witch is always good…. I’ve enjoyed the different options allowed for development yet…. For me it’s the silly design and silly super weird colors of the planes that are a real turn off…. Super outlandish Japanese silly stuff… if that was changed I would give it the 5 stars hit it’s just too much…. Give it a sexy design with a great paint job that does not look like a rainbow every single time you see it…. It’s confusing when your finger already blocks part of your view and you can’t tell the difference between your ship and the enemy and it’s firepower

Flawed Game That Could Be Terrific

So, I’ve been playing this game for a couple of months and I have some specific thoughts. This game could have been great, except for some bad design flaws & the ridiculous amount of ads you have to watch.

It’s not out of the ordinary to watch 30+ ads in an hour of playing. Crazy! Add to that fact that a lot of the ads hang the game causing you to reboot. Ads have gotten progressively longer with some being up to 90 seconds in length. That’s nuts!!! You can earn free stuff, but that can take weeks. Greed? Yes! If you choose to make in-game purchases, you can proceed more quickly, but EVERYTHING is seriously overpriced - by a LOT. When you start playing (and trying to earn power) be prepared to get crushed by stronger players. The designers made ZERO effort to balance out the gameplay between the weak & the strong. This can get VERY frustrating at times because you’ll start to ask yourself why are you bothering to play when you have no chance of winning? Finally, on my iPad, the game seems to hang up in the evenings during times of heavy use by players. For goodness sake, invest in some faster servers!!!

Like I said, this game could have been great. It’s too bad the designers were more interested in squeezing money out of their players then actually developing a great gaming platform. SAD

It’s not Galaga. It’s Galaxga. There’s a big difference

This game isn’t bad it has many level but getting new ships is another matter. Your able to get 4 ships for free using in game currency earned as you level up and win each round each level has 3 rounds easy normal and hard.
Also it’s possible to other than the 4 ships buy watching advertisements. But not one or two. Try 80 advertisements yes that’s 8 0. The minimum number of ads you have to watch is 5. This game is crazy when it’s abou advertising. No other game requires players to sacrifice so much free time. For anything. Of course you can also spend money if you choose. But that too also has a high minimum for most items

Open Ur Wallet!!

Great game and a lot of fun. But, once u hit a certain point in the game, u won’t get past that without spending some money - serious money. Not just 20, 30 bucks. Probably bout 100. Without doing that, ur left with no option but to watch ads - a BUNCH of ads. They limit u on how many u can watch each day but, at MINIMUM, it’s like 50 ads per day. So, if u wanna do well in this game, open ur wallet or watch ads for the next 5 years. U can progress and enjoy the game for about a week before ur left with those 2 choices.

Plus, this game is TOTALLY rigged. They have a PvP option and it’s obvious the winner is chosen before the match even begins. I’ve been defeated by players whose ships are NOWHERE near as strong as my mine and I’ve beaten people who ships are 10 times stronger. How does that make sense? If this only happened on occasion, I’d think nothing of it. But it happens ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. Just like in sports, the better team USUALLY wins but, of course, upsets do happen. It only stands to reason, if we’re fighting the same battle, the stronger ships SHOULD WIN - MOST OF THE TIME.

Game Glitched so they Banned my account

First, I really enjoyed this game. It’s fun. If the game works for you, you’ll enjoy it.

I started playing about 3 weeks ago. For some reason the say after I installed it all my progress was gone - it didn’t recognize me and made me start over. When I got far enough along to open up all features, though, it had given me “VIP 12” status for some reason. No one complaints from me - a nice unexpected perk.

Today Galaxiga notified me my account was banned/suspended and to contact Customer Care.

Customer Care seemed like it would be helpful, asking how I got my VIP points (no idea - and I asked them to fix it and unblock my account) then told me that “because you cheat” my only option was to start over by creating a new account “on another phone.”

Asked why the account could not be restored, I was told “Your account has been blocked and cannot be retrieved. Please play with new account and on a new phone / tablet device. Thank you.”

So I was banned from the game for their system messing up. Also, I’m not sure why it said to contact customer care if customer care can’t fix the problem.

It was a fun game while it lasted, but I won’t play a game that keeps making me start over.

Can be ok but always wants your money

Asks you to buy something every other minute. Hundreds of chances to watch ads. If you don’t watch lots of ads or buy lots of upgrades, you won’t be able to proceed through the game. There are multiple shops, multiple currencies, multiple kinds of upgrades and multiple ships, drones, and stones to buy and then upgrade. Not only that, once you upgrade you then have to “evolve” which requires more upgrades. You can’t play certain levels unless you have certain ships, which are locked. Each level has 7-10 stages. If you die at stage 9, you have to start at 1 again. Each level costs credits. Restart the level, pay more credits to try again. Run out of credits, wait 6-12 minutes for one more play - or just buy more - there’s always a chance to spend your cash. Bosses are boring and repetitive and take forever (unless you have lots of upgrades) Overall, it’s ok. Would be fun if I wasn’t constantly closing windows trying to get me to pay for stuff. Would be more fun if enough upgrades were available not to make it a grind.

Ship Control

Ever since the last update the ship control doesn’t work properly. I move my finger then the ship ends up on the other side of the screen or just outside my touch and it ends up getting killed. Fundamentally it’s a great game with a lot of depth though. I really enjoy building my ship … picking the drones and stones and developing them to max level so I can merge them to tier 2 etc. Then there’s the gears which add even more depth to developing your squad. This update is the first I’ve had issue with. Typically the game gets increasingly better so I’ve stuck with it. It does have quite a few issues … ads are too long given the rewards - ads got longer recently which exacerbates the problem; English translation in relation to grammar could use improvement; The game is at best moderately intuitive; and the bonus campaigns are fun but once again the creators are stingy with earning items.

Basic Arcade Game At Best

The game is definitely a lot of fun to play but it doesn’t come without its flaws such as needing to watch so many ads in order to claim ONE single item I mean I’m all for voluntarily watching rewarded ads for free content and hard to acquire or need to buy items however watching FIVE ads to ONE item seems absolutely ludicrous depending on the item value I mean and the pricing of in game purchases is far from average in my opinion but so far besides the obvious little set backs playing for free is still absolutely possible maybe a little more slower moving than becoming a vip member and not as efficient but it’s standard play and the game itself brings so much nostalgia that alone maybe worth it

By

Stay Away

Been playing this game 2 years now and I’ve finally had enough. Endless ads and most are over 1 minute long. Purchase monthly premium package to get rid of ads and still have to watch too many ads(only reduces some ads). Make in app purchases to develop my squads only for the devs to make power adjustments(weaken) my squads. If they don’t weaken your squads they adjust the strength of the bosses you need to kill. End result you spend money to achieve nothing but make theirs bank accounts grow. They have one goal and that’s to make their game the top $ grossing game period. Many top players and high dollar spenders have left the game because of this and I’m going to be next to leave. Ok game if you don’t spend money I guess but be warned. You will not go far without spending money because they keep adding more and more ships, drones and stones making it harder to collect the cards you need to expand and strengthen your squad’s. So if you don’t mind having a weak squad and watching ads that go on forever and spending countless hours farming for gold coins to make upgrades when you finally evolve a ship, drone or stone then this might be the game for you. My advice stay away and spend more time with the family you have instead of spending time on this game.

Too Greedy to play games on!

You know, I don’t get it! I download a game to play and unwind. If they wanted 2, 3, 4 or 5 dollars for the game, so be it, I would buy it and play and maybe pay to upgrade later on when I chose. But NO! THEY CAN’T LEAVE YOU ALONE!! They box you into making you pay money to go to the next level and force you to upgrade. Who is really playing games here!!
I HATE the Apple Games that APPLE has!! All of these providers are SO GREEDY that they can’t leave you alone to play!!
Put a charge on your games upfront to buy, then stay the heck out of my game!! I’ll upgrade when I feel like it! Just so you know, when you game makers force me to upgrade or watch your stupid commercials, I off load YOUR GAME! I encourage anyone reading this review to do the same thing until they start acting more HONEST!! Until then, I won’t be downloading anymore games! Sorry. I’ll find a different avenue to unwind with a game.
Hey APPLE, whats going with letting these greedy game engineers on your platform? Its not a good look for you.

Designed to have you spend lots of money

This game does not force you to watch adds but you want have much coin if you do not. The purchase of coins and gems is stupidly high, this is a game it’s not a tangible item, it’s free to play but with out buying gems you will be hard pressed improving your squad. I really liked this game in the beginning but I can’t say I enjoy it anymore….. it takes me weeks to get enough coin, cards, and gems to upgrade any of my ships and when I finally do upgrade its not enough of an improvement to be competitive with the boss on the level I am at. I’ve been two weeks trying to defeat the boss where I am stuck. I have chosen to just give up. Careful with this game don’t get sucked in and spend a bunch of money like I did, it’s really not worth it. The creators of the game will push updates very often, some of them will even reduce the power of your squad making you week in the guild wars….

Hope you like to spend money

It’s fun at first and you can blast your way through a lot, but pretty quickly it gets almost impossible to beat without spending money. I spent $30 on gems to get the best ship in tier 1 that’s maxed out and STILL it was a challenge. Honestly, most of the “good” ships are absolutely terrible. High damage, but the stupidest fire rate and pattern ever to make it just a pain to use, but you’re basically forced to use them because they have the higher damage you need.

Along with that are the many, many ads you can watch (or are forced to watch) in order to unlock stuff. There’s a ship that’s worth 80 ads and it’s not even that good after a while. It’s just not worth it. There’s so little reward to anything and once you get to the higher levels, you’re not going to win. Period. Unless you spend hundreds of dollars. Spending $30 is already quite a bit and really should be ALL you’re spending total. But $30 gets you nowhere, so I’m deleting Galaxiga. I’ll give it 2 stars because it’s fun at first, but it’s a hard nose dive after. I’m sure the developer doesn’t care because they get a fat payday regardless, so best just to avoid Galaxiga and get something else.

Can’t trust the app

Constantly noticing my orders and purchases made with tokens, gems, coins, and real money end up not fulfilled or have disappeared. Customer service is slow and difficult to deal with. The game itself can be fun and addictive, but I would not spend money through Galaxiga. You can see in prior reviews, customer service will ask for screen shots/recordings of your apple account to verify purchases after you ask them to fix the mistake. When orders aren’t fulfilled (which can be a frequent occurrence), you have to argue with them on Facebook chat if they deny your request to correct the error. Three times, I had to threaten to report the problem to apple and request a refund. That’s when they’ll correct the mistake. I’m giving up. After playing for over a year, and collecting powerful ships, drones, stones, etc. I’m out. Hard to trust the developers. The in-app purchases are too expensive to have that many glitches, accounting errors, and outright chicanery.

Good game, but ad creep is making me wonder.

I’ve been playing this game now for awhile. I’m one that does not pay, but I’m willing to tolerate commercials as the “price” I need to pay to use the games. This game has a lot of commercials to watch. It used to be they were about 15 seconds. Today I had one that was 90 seconds long. That’s over my threshold. So. While I’ve enjoyed the game play and building up my starships, I’m beginning to think that I might be done with the game due to the commercial ad length moving up too much.

Having said that, I found it took awhile to figure out how everything works (I still don’t know) the game is clearly targeted to those who want to pay. So if you pull out your wallet, you can quickly get reasonable strength starships. Me, I dodge and duck, and lose often. But it’s free (except for the tons of ads) and it is a pretty good shooter game.

The worst customer service.

I had been playing the game for around two weeks. Even spent a little money on a few upgrades. It’s a decent game. But, they did an update and after I was unable to access most of the game. I reached out to customer support and they told me that the issues where on my end. They said the WiFi I had been playing the game on with no issues the past two weeks was the issue. So I connected to 5g. Same problems. Then they told me to delete Galaxiga and download again. I did. And because the game was still giving me the same issues. I couldn’t get to a screen to log into my account. Not only losing access to all of the gear I had paid for/worked for. But essentially having to start the game over while still being able to access a small portion of the games functions. Reached back out to them and they continued to blame my network. Again the network that worked flawlessly for over two weeks. They’re also saying that the 5g network I connected to was in adequate. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Avoid the game. Avoid the developers.

Unbearable ads without subscription-and now WITH one

Have been playing this app for over a year. While the game is usually fun and the engine building aspect keeps you constantly moving, there are glitches here and there and seem to multiply with each update.

Recently I have tried the premium subscription which worked and cut out the most of the excessive minute+ long ads. Several days ago my subscription just stopped working, though still active it no longer gives the benefits I paid for. In fact two days later it auto renewed and still no benefits.

I would normally bring this up in the Contact Us section to sort this out but it takes me to a dead Facebook link so I'm left with leaving a bad review in the hopes they might do something to fix the situation of taking payment without providing a service.

Fun game that doesn’t seem to get boring!

I play this game on my phone more than any because I have more fun playing it. The best thing about this app is that you don’t need to spend any money to reach the highest levels in the game. The only difference between those who spend in-game currency and those who don't, is the time it takes a player to reach those levels. Of course, the more you spend, the faster you progress, but time is the only handicap on an otherwise fair playing field, in my opinion. My 2nd favorite thing about this game is the constant addition of new things and fresh events at just the right time to keep players happy and motivated. You’ll like this game and have fun playing it!
