Barely any time is given to factor the equation before additional variables get added. It’s maddening. Not a fun learning experience. Ruined the trajectory entirely.

AlgebraTouch gives very little time to stop and smell the roses in general. Needs more balancing.

Useless program, explains nothing just blinks on what the correct step is and when you click on it AlgebraTouch will move numbers or symbols to the correct position.

The pre-generated problems work GREAT. Really excellent way to teach algebra in a way that is AMAZINGLY fast. However, entering your own problems is practically useless. AlgebraTouch will randomly drop large sections of the equation. For example, try to factor: x^2 - 5x - 14 There’s no way to enter exponents in the calculator keyboard, so you have to do x*x to get x^2. While trying this problem, I’ve seen AlgebraTouch randomly erase everything except for x^2, which may lead one to think the other terms had somehow magically canceled out. It just makes me really sad that the self-entry mode is so useless. Another example: it doesn’t know how to convert 7x*x into 7x^2. This is probably the best algebra teaching method I’ve ever seen, and also works great for refreshing your memory if you’ve forgotten your algebra rules, but otherwise it’s only useful once you’ve finished all the lessons, which anybody can do inside of an hour or two.

I like the idea of creating our own problems but I would love for AlgebraTouch to save my problems so I can use them for other classes.

This would be great for teaching or reinforcing algebra concepts step by step. It does an excellent job of isolating new topics so that students learn one concept at a time, then combine topics only when they are ready. Celebration animations after correct answers are so good that as a parent I just kept working through problems myself as a super satisfying chill-out activity.

As an educator of students with special needs, what I really appreciate is the inherent use of multi-sensory teaching and skill building. It really does make a difference for some of these kids who struggle with the rote memorization that can be all too present in the classroom.

Very good app. I have a few questions that I’ve haven’t been able to find the answers, however I’m very pleased with AlgebraTouch thus far.

Why didn’t something like this exist when I was a kid struggling with math? Its like the math is accessible in a way it just wasn’t in the 90s. I can finally learn algebra!

I have Algebra Touch Legacy and love it.

I noticed when I made this equation
4^2 + 45^2 + 23^2 + 4x = 9x

The logic allowed combining the number^2 terms so that it became

72^2 + 4x = 9x

You may have fixed this in the new app but thought you would like to know in case you haven’t.
