CLOS - Virtual Photoshoot Reviews

My partner and I are both creative storytellers through photography and videography. During the lockdown we have been able to still create amazing work through this magical app. Thank you to everyone at this app!

I loved CLOS, but It’s becoming useless. I did a shoot with someone 10,000 miles away on vacation, and I can only download a few of the photos. The rest of the time, I get “Please allow access to your photos.” Once in a lifetime shoot, and it seems like I will only be able to screenshot the tiny thumbnails and low-res previews. I’m switching to the competition’s app.

Poor quality of pictures. Takes ages to download them without any identification of each picture. Deleting pictures doesn’t always work.

Literally this has changed how I take my photos I’m absolutely obsessed

Couldn’t shoot in RAW, didn’t upload all the pictures I took. They said my voice would break in and out so couldn’t understand my directions. I used the pro version but will not use again unless major fixes.

Worked super well for a remote shoot

We used it for the jewelry photo shoot. Worked well. Cheers

I have used this app for 4 remote shoots now, each lasting at least an hour. I’m impressed by how well it does what it does, and am looking forward to the development team adding in support for Raw and Manual control. There’s a lot of differences between shooting in person and remotely, so keep that in mind when downloading this and trying it out. Don’t criticize CLOS for things beyond the control of the developers due to the iOS platform or the nature of remote portraiture.

Never thought CLOS would be ready so soon, yet it came the very best moment when everybody needed it, during a quarantine.

I’ve used many this app App since I’ve been doing webcam photoshoots through different parts of the world and I found interesting how easy is to connect with those old clients and use their camera like never before. And the best part? Is FREE!

That’s a HUGE deal-breaker for me and 99.9% of photographers.

Just imagine, there IS the potential of not receiving some or all photos/videos from the model or client. Seriously, who wants that risk???

So... Move along, folks. Nothing more to see.

To developer:
There should be an option to choose if you want photos saved to photographer’s device. Fix/update this and you’ll have a viable app. I mean, if photos can be saved to the photographer’s device with FaceTime, then it should be doable with CLOS.

As a photographer I love the idea of being able to take high quality images remotely. However, I don’t like the fact that my models/clients have to download CLOS , create an account using their Apple ID, all before we can even start a session. It’s too many steps to me. I also don’t like that all photos are saved to the clients/models device, makes me concerned what images might not make it back to me.

CLOS is a great tool. Gives you more control than shooting from FaceTime live. It will be even better once the images can go straight to Dropbox. Hoping that’s soon!

I’ve used this app app for the e-commerce remote photo shoot, it worked out great.
Highly recommend to try, app was very easy to use and gave me great quality images. Better than FaceTime.

Love CLOS !!! Got many cool photos for my IG feed !! So easy to connect with photographers, and nice camera control tools

Thanks for CLOS but still need to be develop.
The problem is the quality of the pictures is like FaceTime screen shots or FaceTime live snap shots.
I tested and took a picture with actually phone and with CLOS and the is the big difference on quality.
Looking forward to improve!
