LE01 Bass 808 Synth AUv3 Reviews

Ok. LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 is fine. 100+ sounds, used to be made by AudioKit, a few leads mixed in, the whole deal. Look, I get the point of the subscription. LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 is free, but in order to have it in full, you need to buy it. Fair rule. The problem is when you make most of the sounds free, and then make all but the default being paid for. Maybe the most of the sounds free thing was a bug. Look, I’m fine with a subscription, but at least make a few more sounds free. Dynamic articulation isn’t the best either. At least we have modulation. Even then, I like what you did with the other older apps and subscriptions. Put some sounds in the default bank, make you pay for the other banks. You should’ve incorporated this in Bass 808. Cause now, it isn’t that amazing. Default GarageBand sounds might even be better, and they have trash dynamic articulation. Look, I’m just saying, MAKE SOME MORE SOUNDS FREE. I can’t rate it anything above what I’m rating it ONLY because of this.

With that being said, this is a 2-star app.

Edit:And now it’s not showing on my Audio Unit Extensions. Maybe the guy who said the Retro Piano/Bass 808 thing was true. It’s even worse than ever.

With that being said, this is a 1-star app.

Has this weird bug with AUM (and GarageBand) where if you have both this and Retro Piano, only one of them will show up when accessing them via AudioUnits or Interapp Audio.. what’s even stranger is that its arbitrary which app decides to appear. One day its bass808, the next day its retro piano. That aside, both apps have amazing sounds. Just wish I could use them at the same time.

Please add 24 and 32-bit depth + oversampling
& update app to fit iPad Pro screen without the letterboxing

then I will change rating to 5 stars.

Also I would love to be able to use my magic keyboard as midi controller/piano keys if possible!

It would be nice to have the ability to add our own samples and mix between our imported sample and the selected operator/algorithm. Lastly, it would be cool to add additional sub-harmonics separately instead of distorting the whole signal or to just be able to select a range within the frequency spectrum. Check out SubLab desktop plugin/app by FAW for inspiration/examples. They have what I would deem the perfect UIX for this type of tool.

LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 is pretty amazing for messing with fast bass lines. 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s still a little glitchy. Playing the keys near the home bar makes me close LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 sometimes. Other than that, this is great and works great in GarageBand too. Every preset is pretty fat and you can tweak the sounds even more to your taste.

It keeps telling me it doesn’t exist when I’m in GarageBand. I was going through the sounds trying to re-customize them because I hoped deleting and reinstalling would help but nah. It just tells me it’s not found anyway when I was just using it. I don’t know why it’s suddenly messing up when I’m finally trying to use it, but please fix it 😑

Also allowing chords and the ability to favorite sounds would be nice. But I just want it to work at the moment.

For the price this thing is amazing. All the knobs are super easy to assign to my controller is one of the best parts for me. Thank you for making this thing cheap enough to want to buy and good enough to actually use. Just got the iconnect cable to be able to use my iPad/iPhone apps with my MPC Live so having great apps like this saves me from all the hassle and money of buying expansion packs.

I’ve been really impressed with the apps these guys have put out and this one is no exception 🔥 LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 has a good look and feel. The sounds of the patches are very good quality, and the simple controls let you get things dialed in quickly.

This crew consistently puts out solid,sample-based emulations! The gui is always simple and clean, and there’s usually something extra aside from the original parameters, like bit crushing on the 909 drums. I must admit though that their “Synth One” app is by far my favorite, and it’s free.

The last updated fixed the MIDI automation control problems so LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 responds to MIDI CC in the GUI using MIDI learn or via the exposed AUv3 parameters. Great to see the AudioKit team continues to stand behind their work and is responsive to the needs of their users.

Another quality app from AudioKit. Well thought out GUI, the sounds are awesome and light on both CPU and device storage. Comes with nice presets and easy to create your own. Get it while it’s hot.

Another impressive offering from these guys, and right there with the model D as one of the biggest and best sounding AUs I’ve heard. The programming options are intelligent' effective and just about right, although I would have liked a filter envelop (or option to route amp envelop to filter). Really impressive instrument. Along with Model D and Aparillo, it’s one of the reasons I’m glad I got a cheap iOS MIDI interface and can now use my iPad as a module in my recording big rig.

I love LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 with all my heart. Just got it and discovered in moments what I have been looking for - for a long time. Tons of curated sounds that can all be customized. I will use LE01Bass808SynthAUv3, almost exclusively, for the way I curate and sample bass sounds. Lots of gratitude for LE01Bass808SynthAUv3!!!

This will change the way I do music! So much mix-ready content. I dreamed about a product like this at an affordable price, and you did it! Plus the limited edition factor makes you feel part of a community. Outstanding.

LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 is dope u can create a sub bass to your liking with easy controls..comes with tons of presets to start with...also id like to note that I had an issue with LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 and I reached out to them and it was fixed in record time...thanks guys keep up the good work

LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 is a godsend. I would give 5 stars if they could fix the Background Audio function. Not sure if it’s just me, but I’m having trouble playing outside of LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 . Thanks!!

This may be a single-purpose instrument, but in this case it is a very good thing. The oscillators sound quite precise yet musical, the filter oozes with juiciness at high resonance, and it has 2 simultaneous types of distortion for heavy-hitting wallops of BASS. This is a great, highly-capable synth, which I will start using in my music immediately!

For $2.99 it is really tough to complain! Wish list items: ability to disable vibrato on the mod wheel. My midi controller (microkey air) has no knobs just pitch and mod wheel. So if I map cutoff to mod wheel I’m stuck with vibrato when I often don’t want it. Since I use a Bluetooth controller, I have no need for the on screen keyboard most of the time. It would be nice to display both the Main and More panels at the same time instead of toggling between the two. Thanks for the awesome app!

A lot of people are upset that LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 isn’t available anymore and all I can say if I’m grateful that I caught it when it was because I use LE01Bass808SynthAUv3 to make crazy sub bass samples and sounds that rumble my monitors! I can’t wait to catch the next one!

Bought this haven’t had time to explore what it can do...but I know if these guys release it, It’s gonna be GOOD!! They do this for all the right reasons... the love of music. That’s something I understand and they’ve earned my trust...and will earn yours as well.
