Continued lack of diversity

I have criticized you several times before for your failure to represent people of color and diverse cultures in your app pictures. Every time I’ve posted you’ve managed to come up with one or two pics that meet this standard, but it never continues. Right now we’re in the middle of Black History month and nothing has been posted to honor the great history, contributions and heritage of our African American citizens. At Christmas, virtually all the pictures were very traditional, Euro and white centric. That’s fine as long as you balance such pictures with black or Latinex families also celebrating. No respresentation was provided for Kwanzaa. There were a few depictions of Hanukkah, thankfully. Also, there was a nod to our folks of Asian heritage with Chinese New Year.

Oh, and often when people of color, indigenous, Asian or Latinex folks are depicted, they are very stereotyped. Why not add folks of various races and heritages into regular pictures doing normal everyday things?

I’ll give you just a bit longer before I delete your app to see if you can correct the problem.

I used to love you……..

I absolutely loved HappyCanvas when I first downloaded it—pretty pictures, bright colors. Then, I began having issues. I contacted you more than a month ago regarding completed pictures (daily) that turned up as completed (checked) but were not colored or were partially colored. They now total approximately eight. You did respond stating that it would take time to resolve this and to be patient. I have not heard from you since that initial correspondence.

Today I completed a picture in the Art section. HappyCanvas “dimmed”; and, when I was able to get back in, the picture had totally disappeared and was replaced by one from the same category that had been done sometime ago. I now have two of the same picture, and the one I have just finished has totally vanished.

I know these are minor issues, (I guess) I am the only one having problems. As of right now, I am holding HappyCanvas “in obeyance”. I won’t use it again until I can be sure this doesn’t keep happening. If it keeps happening, then I will have to delete it. That would be sad!!!!!

Used to be great

I used to use HappyCanvas all the time and really loved how the colors were sequenced, how they got put onto the canvas once clicked, the pictures, (also, wasn’t there an undo button?!), etc. I came back after a while of not being on and it has completely changed. It seems to me like either someone new took over HappyCanvas or they just don’t care anymore. It’s disappointing. Almost every canvas I color now has spots that are unassigned a color. At first, I thought that they were just utilizing the already white canvas.. nope, the picture looks, and is, unfinished. There’s other minor things that have changed that I just don’t like, but could’ve lived with if I was actually able to finish a picture. Also, I can appreciate the need for ads, but holy cow, there’s so many. It used to be worth waiting to do the pic for all the ads, not anymore. I think I’ll be deleting HappyCanvas unfortunately. It’s a shame, it was so great and one of the only apps I actually used.

No Tip Ads

I loved this coloring game. Great pictures with rich colors. However, after playing it a few months I wasn’t offered the Ad for tips. First they gave me shorter ads for 10 tips, plus longer ads for 20 tips. After awhile, they quit offering the 20 tip ads. A couple months later I’m no longer getting the 10 tip ads. I have ran out of tips and have no way of getting more for tiny pieces I can’t find. I complained about it and received an email saying if a color isn’t found in 10 seconds, it will give you a tip. NO, IT DOESN’T! After 10 seconds the tip bulb wiggles letting you know it’s there. But, if you have no tips it just wiggles. I’ve done everything I can think of, but to no avail. 😏👎🏻

Not a happy customer with Happy Canvas

As much as I use to like HappyCanvas, my dislike for it has become greater!
Since the developers recent updates, it is now slow loading and it times out a lot with loading. Not to happy with HappyCanvas anymore. I have had to delete HappyCanvas and then download HappyCanvas back on my phone just to get it to work for maybe four photos.
Not a happy customer with Happy Canvas!!!
I have found other coloring apps that do not have these issues and will probably permanently delete HappyCanvas. Sad but true because I did at one time like HappyCanvas a lot...but not so much anymore!!

Makes my phone run too hot

Out of the Paint by Number apps I have tried, this one is my favorite. However, HappyCanvas makes my phone very hot. Hot enough to cause problems with getting it to respond when I try to close HappyCanvas or reboot. None of the other coloring apps do this. My phone is brand new and I worry about causing permanent damage. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it didn’t make a difference. So, sadly, I am going to have to delete it permanently.

Three stars because the pictures and colors are very nice. If it wasn’t for the heat issue, it would be five stars.

Wanted to love it

I have 11 coloring apps so I didn’t really need another but when I saw the add for HappyCanvas I decided I definitely wanted it. What drew me in was the states/world pictures.

Once I downloaded it and saw all the beautiful pics I was so excited, I had my music playing on my Bluetooth speaker and that’s when HappyCanvas tanked for me. I am not able to listen to Pandora on my Bluetooth when HappyCanvas is open. I am able to with all of my other coloring apps. I decided I wanted to just try a few pictures to see the colors and I just don’t like the strange color options. I did a house and the colors did not go well together at all. The picture is very beautiful, well that is until I colored it.

I truly am bummed, I can get past the colors but I cannot get past not being able to listen to music while I color. My apologies but I might be deleting it.

I do want to say though, of all the coloring apps out there, yours definitely has the most beautiful pictures and the most choices so kudos to that

Unique pictures but speed tanked when updated

I just updated and the speeds tanked. Love the pictures significantly more than any other app out there. They are incomparably more detailed and unique. The speeds are currently such that it's not much fun to currently use. I noticed I had troubles a couple of updates ago when my phone was charging or in power save mode. Then on the last update that was all fixed and I never had speed updates. I'm hoping there will be periods I can get decent speeds. Please check this out.

Little critique

I would rate this game a five as I like to play it to pass the time; although as a member of service I get upset when on the holiday section there is no memorial day or anything recognizing the military. It’s a small pet peeve of mine but I think that if you can put religious pictures in the game, that you should most definitely put armed forces in the game as well. My thinking on this goes as follows, religion, in the game but not everyone accepts or believes religion. Now look at military, no matter how much people want to overlook the military or not recognize the military it is 100% a thing, its not a thing someone can “no believe is real” like people can do with religion. So if religion which cant be proven to be real is in the game, most definitely military should be because it is real no matter how hard you try to turn a blind eye to it. I am a religious guy so I enjoy the religious pictures but I also think that military should be recognized and when Memorial Day passed and I saw nothing that recognizes the sacrifices we make in the military each day, it hurt. So if the developers see this, take this into consideration when I say, you won’t regret adding pictures that coincide with the military/armed forces. Thank you.

Good game but....

I love this game and I don’t mind the ads - I understand they are necessary. However, what really makes me angry is when the ad comes on while you are doing your picture! You would think with all the possibilities that a computer program can do, there could be something that would make the ad come on in between your pics, etc. Other than that I really enjoy the game!!

One of the best coloring apps I’ve found!

I just found HappyCanvas about a week ago, and so far I love it. I especially love the variety of pictures offered. Normally I will download a coloring app, color the few pictures of subjects I like. Then I delete HappyCanvas and look for another. I especially like pictures of dogs, horses, interiors, beautiful homes, lighthouses and landscapes. Most apps only have a few of each. Your app has tons of great free pictures!!! I’m beyond impressed! Please don’t change!

One of My Favorite Color Apps

I love HappyCanvas. Fabulous pictures. Thoroughly enjoy the different country and state pictures. I don't understand why all the people have either brown or red hair with the exception of some purples, pinks, etc. Why doesn't anyone have blonde hair? Also, I read a review that talked about orientation to have HappyCanvas either be vertical or horizontal. I was thinking the same thing. I have other color apps that can be used in either position. Today, I did the Ottowa and London pictures and after they were completed, they turned black.

Great for free

This is a wonderful app, good selection, wonderful way to pass the time. Fully understanding that this is A free app, and the need for advertising. The only suggestion I would make is to use the advertising after the animation. It goes to advertising immediately after finishing the picture, and by the time you come back to the colored picture animation is in progress. I do realize you can re-animate. I am simply saying for better continuity to place advertising after the animation. As I said this is a wonderful free app.

HAPPY CANVAS SUGGESTIONS

I like the images offered by your app very much!

I would like to be able to reorient images to Landscape and/or Portrait opposite of what is currently allowed. I work with my IPad connected to power and would find it much easier to work an image without having to worry about damaging the power cable.

Lastly, being a senior citizen, I find the highlighted areas to color next somewhat light and would love it if you could sharpen the area to be colored by darkening the outlining.

Easy to use

I love the question mark canvas. They are so much fun and I love to see if I guessed correctly on what the painting is. I also like the fact that after I have finished a color—— it automatically goes to the next color and I don’t spend 10 minutes looking for the color I had been working on. Now, I know you can say just look down at the color graph—— but at my age (70******) you can easily forget. I have several of my of my more mature friends (old) that I have introduced to your app. They love it also!

I love this app

I love bright vivid colors and HappyCanvas offers that but the other unique feature is that you can preview what the finished picture you’re thinking about coloring will look like.
I love love love that feature. I haven’t found that on any other coloring app but I wish I did. The developers and contributors may want to patent that concept because I now use this coloring app more than any other.
I currently have 10 coloring apps down loaded but use HappyCanvas more than any because I love the bold colors and the preview option. I also love the pictures. I applaud the talented people. Bravo!!
Please continue with the great pictures bold colors and preview. It takes all 3 to keep HappyCanvas #1. Thanks again for hours of pleasure and enjoyment. Also I don’t usually give a review so this again shows how much I love y’all.

Why I love Color Canvas

I was Leary about HappyCanvas because it wasn’t the one I had been using . HappyCanvas I used before disappeared and couldn’t be located. I had been told not to sign up with google because I wouldn’t be happy with it. But so far ( I’m 76 ) I’ve enjoyed all of the pictures I’ve colored. The colors are amazing and it helps me find areas that I couldn’t find on the other app to color. There are more quality pictures and I’m happy and very satisfied .

Pretty good mellow time

While the art might not always be the fanciest, it generally doesn’t mess with you by putting tiny slivers you can barely see at full magnification like some other coloring apps, and the colors actually correspond with the color you fill in, again, unlike some other coloring apps. It also doesn’t make you watch an ad every time you get switch focus from HappyCanvas , like if an alarm goes off or you get a call.

Amazing game

This is a great game. I love how it takes time to complete the pictures and the pictures are always pretty and you can always tell what they are. There are so many pictures and all of them are free. There are animals and landscapes and lots of other things. I love playing this game before bed because it relaxes me and it takes my mind off of what happened through out the game. I totally revenant this game to everyone. 5 stars for sure.

I recommend it!

I saw an add for a game called Happy canvas it was a coloring game, and I am TOTALLY a big fan of coloring games, after I downloaded HappyCanvas on my iPad I colored a picture of a tropical bird. After that I fell in love with HappyCanvas. There are some adds but I don’t mind them because they are not very long. And you don’t need to have a VIP to color some pictures, it’s completely free. That’s why I recommend HappyCanvas, enjoy! 😀
