xbStream - Xbox Game Streaming Reviews

I downloaded xbStream last night. I tried so hard trying to find a way to stream my Xbox. I was debating about downloading this knowing it had mix reviews. At first it loaded just fine then the screen went black. I thought something was wrong with xbStream. Nope, it was my Xbox... My boyfriend watches Netflix at night. Once I turned off the TV xbStream went a lot faster. At first I hated the button setting. Then it dawned on me, duh! It’s streaming from my system I can use my controller. I really enjoyed the idea of laying down next to my tablet playing Xbox. xbStream does work with the controller! Yeah, maybe you can’t leave the house but the idea of being able to use my tablet to play Xbox even outside is great! It does get choppy at times which is expected. It drains the battery really fast. I have a IPad Pro but I won’t even bother trying to use this on anything else unless I know it can handle it.

Around 3 weeks ago I wrote a pretty crappy review. I would say it was an over reaction because I said your app was basically terrible. It’s not. It’s a really good app with a lot of potential if some ideas were actually being considered. Sometimes people like me that write reviews feel like all we can do is talk bad to get a point across because we don’t think you guys will listen. So here’s some ideas. Idea one, make it to where ads don’t play during gameplay. It sounds like a bad idea on the business side but doing this will keep consumers hooked on xbStream if they can play without being disturbed by an add. Idea two, add more customization to the layout of the screen. The screen is already pretty customizable but some buttons (like RT, LT, LB, and RB) aren’t able to be separated. Fixing this would make everything easier and better. Please add in these ideas!

xbStream is truly great! It streams your Xbox to your iOS device. I use my iPad Pro 10.5 and 99% of the time, it streams perfect. If using the Xbox one controller through my iPad, the left analog stick only works in 1, sometimes 2 directions. My workaround for this is just staying within range to keep my controller connected to my Xbox. I see other complaints as well which gives me hope that they are working on it. The other issue I have is when playing games, the sound will sometimes get distorted when there are loud noises. Other than that, xbStream is amazing. Thank you so much to the developers for xbStream, I can now be anywhere in my house and be able to play!

I’m giving it a 4 because I think there could be some improvements, but it’s a REALLY good app don’t get me wrong. Some small lag from time to time and I have really good internet so I don’t think it’s me. Also the ads aren’t exactly annoying I get you need ads to make money. But if you could just put them like when they have their game paused or like in a offline style of play on the game I think It’d improve a lot. But other than those two issues other than video glitches and those two it’s a really good app. And I am very glad you made xbStream thank you.

It’s a good app for when your to lazy to get up and turn on your tv or you just don’t want to be staring at a giant screen. Not to many ads and it has an option (that you have to pay for) to remove them. Ok performance just some minor visual and sound distortion at times but hopefully it’s fixed in the future. If you don’t want to listen to the phone audio you can just connect your controller to your Xbox plug in your headset or some earphones and you can listen your audio from there and you can also play with your controller from there

First off, you shouldn’t even monetize something you didn’t create. All you did was take it from the console companion on pc and put it on phones. Secondly, the ads that weren’t even a part of xbStream when it launched pop up mid gameplay, which can often ruin what you are doing. Lastly, the controller support doesn’t even work with 360 degrees on the analog sticks, unless you move the stick exactly up, down, left, or right, no input registers causing any game that needs even the slightest amount of camera precision is unplayable, least to mention shooters. Developer, please fix the controller bug above all else, but of course ads shouldn’t be implemented in the way they are.

There appears to be ads in my gameplay, now I have no problem with ads, it’s how you get money, my problem is that it renders you vulnerable while the ad is playing, meaning that if you were doing something important, then oh well, guess you died on day 100 while kiting a boss! Now you have to start again! At least have it auto pause when ads play.

Literally unusable. The lag is unacceptable in spite of having a very good router with good speeds, which I know is totally capable because I’ve streamed PC games perfectly fine. However here on my xbox with xbStream, it’s so laggy someone can’t talk in a game without sounding like a robot in the middle of having a total system crash or something. Even if it did work, the ads make it unplayable forcing you to pay for this “free” app.

I didn’t even get one minute into the game I pulled up before having two different ads crammed into my face forcing me to reach up and close it just to see what I’m doing. Idk if it’s just gone bad recently or what but I really don’t understand how this is sitting at 4.3 stars right now.

Holy heck xbStream is pretty good! Some of the bugs I found, or not really bugs, but minor inconveniences I think you should fix is xbStream crashing a lot. After about 5-15 minutes of play, xbStream crashes. The screen also tears a lot, and it lags even though my connection is good. For ideas, I think the addition of being able to move around the screen controls would be a nice touch, and controller support too (MFI, like Xbox One, PS4, 3rd Party Controllers with BT), and also there should be a double tap on the L and R sticks to simulate pressing down on them for games like Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, Call or Duty, Minecraft, and so on. Anyways, for what its got right now, it’s awesome!

The onscreen controls are a struggle but are responsive- when using a controller the inputs are limited for some reason so I can push ‘up’ or ‘left’ but not ‘up+left’ not being able to run diagonally is a real annoyance.
Also when xbStream starts it just starts ignoring Bluetooth earpiece and plays audio through the phone- even though the BT is still connected ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ fix these 2 things, heck even just the controller input and you get 5 stars!
Does let you play backwards compatible games UNLIKE THE OFFICIAL XBOX APP!

At first I thought this was not going to work and it was just going to take space but I tried it and it worked but what I hate about xbStream is that there is an ad very 5 minutes witch is annoying when you are playing an online game but it is still a very good app you don’t need really good wifi the only thing you need is your console updated.

Got xbStream because I use keyboard and mouse on my Xbox and don’t own a controller. Some games you have to press a when the game starts on the controller first and I couldn’t get past that screen. Got xbStream and was surprised that you can stream plus have an on screen controller. That’s something the First Party Xbox app doesn’t even have ! 5 stars

Though mainly unnoticed there are faint audio and visual tearing spots. These can be subtle or obvious, mine were mainly subtle. Other than the audio and visual glitches there does seem to be a small delay, somewhere between 40-50 milliseconds. Other than those 2 problems I recommend xbStream as you can play a good amount of games while still remaining quality.

xbStream is by far the best app i have ever used and mind you i almost never even think of writing reviews but holy!
I have some much to say, but very little time right now. I sincerely wish that xbStream gets fully finished with new updates for bug fixes or glitches.

I Honestly find a lot of potential in xbStream, i mean seriously though for FREE it cant be beaten, i really wish for xbStream to be finished and completed now with all do respect the only little tiny tiny issue i find is that there are a lot of ads that come in too fast, but i have found a way to fix this. Its really easy just make the consumer or us, watch a ad at the start of when we connect or 2 ads, then we can stream un continued,

AFTER you finish developing xbStream, because i know money is a needed resource. Other than that its amazing!

Overall performance of xbStream is great, it runs well, zero lag that i could see whatsoever, BUT I have three complaints

- xbStream absolutely NEEDS controller support because touch controls are just not viable for most games

-I can't stream the game fullscreen because there's always a "disconnect" button at the top of the screen shrinking the screen down, fullscreen would be amazing

-My last complaint doesn't really matter all too much BUT the menus are really strange and I feel that they could be updated to look better and operate better, and the font could be better

I hope the developer can get back to me and hopefully look at this because I feel that xbStream could really be popular once it's updated to have these features.

This is an amazing app and for so long I’ve waited for one like it, The only problem is that I wish there would be no ads during my streaming session and some more fixes to the connection and would be make a great improvement. I cannot wait for a update and soon.

So I'll start by saying this is a cool app, and will be buying the no apps version AS SOON AS THEY FIX THE CONTROLLER ISSUES. Ive looked to see if I can get some support but wasn't sure where to go. PLEASE FIX THIS. And for iPad version, it's not full screen like on my IPhones. Besides that one main issue of mine, thru would of got 5 stars and would've made me a happy customer.

Here is my honest opinion. When i first got it, it took forever to connect but then when i connected it I realized it was worth 5 stars. Well since xbox’s can only record for 10 (which is really annoying) i can just open xbStream, connect to the xbox, and screen record!

Look, I was hesitant to get xbStream, but it was my only choice. I stream on twitch through my Xbox, but twitch on Xbox gets a little choppy at times. And Capture cards are to expensive. But xbStream is AMAZNG! I can broadcast my Xbox to my iPhone and then directly to twitch. At certain times it can be a little glitchy, but all is worth it when it is free!

I love xbStream it amazing but I think it should be able to move around the buttons because I have some gaming stuff I ordered online for my phone but on here it doesn’t work so if there 1 change I would make to xbStream it’s to be able to move around the buttons and controls other wise great app👍

Brilliant app works perfectly fine although bit laggy her and there cause of wifi connection. But still really good. For those of you who have problems connecting or app not working restart your phone or your wifi isn’t strong enough to stream uninterrupted. One thing I’d like to see is to be able to connect the xbox controller to our phones and play while on xbStream instead of having it connected directly to the console.

It works amazingly but there’s one thing wrong with it. I downloaded it so I can stream audio to my AirPods but audio comes out of phone. I went on a different app to see if there was something wrong with my AirPods but audio worked fine on other apps. If they fix this I will rate 5 stars

The first couple times it has difficulty connecting, but after like 5 minutes it works great... a littler laggy here and there but besides that I’m astonished that it actually works... playing Xbox around the house has never been easier, thx!

Awsome app actually works! Went above and beyond expectations! A little choppy hear and there but depends on your internet connection honestly thaw had very little lag to no lag even in high end racing games to shooting games looked just like the graphics on my Xbox one s!

I first thought this was fake and scam but after trying xbStream out and saw connect to Xbox I did.. then I couldn’t believe it I WAS AT MY XBOX HOME PAGE then I tried playing my games then it worked I just can’t believe this I’d suggest you guys get it.
