Scoot Family Calendar Reviews

This seemed like a great app- it wouldn’t even send a link to my email after multiple attempts and sign in was impossible. Couldn’t even get in to try it.

I decided to install ScootFamilyCalendar to better myself, and have my boyfriend able to remind and help me along the way.

It seems nice and simple on the page, but the actual app is locked behind a paywall. It is only 0.99c a month, but almost all features that draw you in such as themes, widgets, multi-colored/organized reminders or events, etc. are locked behind this paywall.

I expected to atleast have a bit of freedom on ScootFamilyCalendar, but everywhere you click is a “buy here!” Add for the “premium service” of ScootFamilyCalendar .

It is still a wonderful app, very appealing to the eye and not overwhelming to learn, but with this paywall it is impossible to do many of the things that are the main reason for installing ScootFamilyCalendar . 🙄

Until the latest update, we used to LOVE ScootFamilyCalendar. Now it’s incredibly irritating when I schedule the same thing for multiple days and it doesn’t officially mark it as “done” until the very last one has been marked as well, even though it’s way in the future.y husband and I use ScootFamilyCalendar for very specific things, like tracking dog meds, that need to be done and by it not showing it as “done” for the day, is going to cause dogs to get double dosed if we don’t communicate to each other in time. The solution for this is to put it in individually for each day, but being able to select 5-10 days in one fell swoop was one of the BEST things about ScootFamilyCalendar that we enjoyed and made use of. Please change it back or give the option!

The only thing that would make it better is if the screen rotated. Sometime I just need to see EVERYTHING and the boxes are too tiny in the vertical version.

I like ScootFamilyCalendar, but I can’t figure out how to get alerts on Apple Watch. And I think it only copy’s from iOS calendar and not to iOS calendar.

I find ScootFamilyCalendar super useful to keep track of me and my wife’s work schedules and events. However, i purchased the subscription and am not able to use all of the features. More specifically, the widget feature. I would like to add a scoot widget to my home screen but its not working :/.

I love ScootFamilyCalendar it is extremely helpful when putting together my kids sports schedules and sharing it with family. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish there were a way to let you lock the calendar so people can’t go in and change events and times, I have so many family members I share ScootFamilyCalendar with that will sometimes go in to look at an event and accidentally change it and so I have to go back in and correct it.

Good app for sharing a family calendar. Different views so you can see what you have going on plus you can assign colors to people. Only draw back is when you are looking at the calendar sometimes it can be hard to tell what day it is. Needs to be a bolder outline. Or offer an all white back ground cause the theme backgrounds can be distracting

ScootFamilyCalendar works AMAZING I personally use it with my friend group to be able to see when we can hangout and it works great! They have tons of colors to choose from for your personal events! My only con to Scoot is that they don’t have a homescreen widget option, but that is most definitely not a need and I’m sure there will be and option for that soon!

At fist it was a bit confusing to handle but afterwards I got the hang of it. I really does help my family organise our events.

Needs a desktop option so it can be seen and added to from there also ….other then that we love it so far

I have three teenagers and was in desperate need of a calendar to organize our lives that we could ALL see & edit from our phones - and I HATE Google calendar!
I tested out every single family calendar in ScootFamilyCalendar Store and they were all too complicated, too expensive, had too many features, or not the features I wanted. And then I found Scoot! My family of five has been using it now for five months and we are all SO happy with it!!
Things I love about it:
* color coding for each family member
* shareable to all family members’ phones so we can all access & edit
*ability to have an event repeat at regular or irregular intervals, and the ability to edit just a single instance or all of them.
*Does NOT have to link to Google calendar!
* Easy to use, simple visual design, does not overwhelm my husband 😆
* doesn’t include a bunch of features that I don’t want, making things messy! I just want a calendar!
*The cost! I am willing to pay for a good app because they don’t appear by magic, they take work! This one is affordable and well worth the price!

Things I do not love about it:
*No local saving of info - it does NOT work if you don’t have an internet connection. This happens to me most when we are at our dentists office and I can’t pull up ScootFamilyCalendar to make our appointments. I have learned to take screen shots before we go in.
*No way to go in and filter to just see one person’s items. For example, if my husband wants to just see what HE needs to be at for the week.

Overall I am SO pleased with ScootFamilyCalendar and hope it will continue to provide my family with many years of simple schedule organization!

ScootFamilyCalendar is amazing to keep all your info together

All I wanted was a calendar to share with my family. The native apps and “family planners” all had issues, more complicated features than needed, and never seemed to sync correctly. ScootFamilyCalendar meets my needs. Extremely simple and it just works. Now I can see our crazy family schedule on all our devices. The subscription cost is well worth the benefit. Thank you!!!

It’s perfect for me because I’m always over lapping my appointments so now I look on ScootFamilyCalendar

This is a fantastic family calendar app, perfect for my very busy family of 7! So much thought and detail put into this! Well worth the nominal premium subscription!
Feature request - widget please!

ScootFamilyCalendar is very easy to use. Our family can coordinate events and happenings or see if we’re free to accept an invitation. I’ve been using it for two years now and really love it. I’ve recommended it to many people.

I love ScootFamilyCalendar! I downloaded and played around with many apps. Each of my kids have the scoot app on their phone. Instead of bugging me 24/7 they just look at their calendar. It’s great for a busy family like ours.

Now that they added recurring events by number of days, ScootFamilyCalendar is perfect for family use. Especially like the fact that you can get calendar notifications via text messages.

We love this ap! It is great for a busy family. Very clear and simple to use. Loved it so much we bought the full version!
