Hit with outrageous fees
Visiting my hometown Hamburg I was happy to learn about the (seemingly uncomplicated) new HVV Switch app. Unlike the old HVV app It gives you only 2 payment choices: PayPal or a German option I never heard about. I was aghast when I saw that every time I bought a 2.63 € ticket I was hit with a $10.00 transaction fee by my credit card company because, unlike other purchases, the Switch app uses the cash option of a credit card, not the credit. Much as I like the ease of using Switch - if this doesn’t change, I will not use the app anymore!
