Maimovie: AI Movie & TV Finder Reviews

I’m a filmmaker and designer. Maimovie is right within my demographic. But I have no idea what, exactly, it’s meant to do? The interface is overly simplistic and also utterly archaic so I really have no clue what purpose it even fulfills. As a database, it’s poorly constructed. IMDb functions more easily. As a recommendation generator it has failed to give me anything other than insanely popular films I’ve already rated in Maimovie . As a review site, it’s difficult to even use. Letterboxd is much more welcoming.

Perhaps with a more elegant tutorial and introduction this may do something. But as is, this was no good.

App “might” be good. But learning how to use it is tedious and lacks easy to understand directions. If I can’t understand in app in a minute or less it’s not worth wasting time on.

I’m assuming Maimovie has paid for ratings and comments or has had “friends” rate it.

When I first downloaded Maimovie, I was very happy with it. This latest update has left me seething. I am being forced to fill out a huge questionnaire on my tastes, and am being blocked from keyword searching. All I want to know is whether a particular movie is available to stream. I don’t want to create an immediate, large data dump for the recommendation engine. Stop trying to force me to hand over a pile of data from the get. Let *me* choose what type of search I want.

I downloaded Maimovie thinking it will let me watch movies for free!But instead they made it almost impossible to watch a movie!I would never recommend Maimovie to anyone I know!

The filter is a little useless. I pay for multiple streaming services, and when I say “free movies” I don’t want to be bombarded with movies I have to pay to watch on top of my subscription fee.

If you go into the movie details you can literally find all the necessary information about the movie. I think that's really cool!

Each movie has a list of keytalks to refer to, and that's where you can see the general reviews of the movies in a very simple manner. I highly recommend this function to anyone who has Maimovie

I let my children use voice search to find the movies they want. But of course I have the final say to what they'r gonna watch. Really wish there was a Kids filter other than just Netflix Kids. Great app

Maimovie really is a time saver as five minutes researching any movie you're unsure about will let you know whether to watch or not. Also has little extra contents which some may find enjoyable :)

There's so many movies, and as someone who works in film production, I actually like the way they only link paid subscription-based streaming services. I'm really enjoying the recommendations, Maimovie really drills down what I like and instantly finds similar ones! The recommendations are not just based on the genres or actors I like but it surprisingly seems to understand the exact qualities I look for in a movie.

I think imdb has smth to learn from Maimovie..this app's movie suggestions doesn't stop at same genre films but goes in deeper to analyze features of the movies you liked and accurately finding movies with those features. The simplicty of presentation is also quite pleasant

Maimovie is the next step in streaming convenience. Like even if you found a movie you wanted to watch (which is tedious af also) there was a next step in where to download or stream the movie. Maimovie solves that problem

Maimovie makes finding information on movies from past, present and future, extremely easy. From release dates, dates aired and full cast and crew listings. Keytalks are the most convenient part in Maimovie I would say. To know the reviews of a movie with phrases no more than 5 words long is definitely an asset

Have used IMDB for many many years but I think this app just topped it.. The perfectly personalized recommendations and accurate voice recognition system is something I won't be able to live without now
