I like CitrusCountySheriffsOffice . Lots of good info available. I would like to be able to delete old notifications and have the ability to email or leave a general comment to the agency. I haven’t seen a way to do that. Fix that and it’s 5 stars.
A little over 3 years ago, I moved to Citrus county from Miami. The police dept there is excellent. The sheriff's dept here, not so much. I am 74 years old and have a young man of 32 , who is on probation living in my home. He appears to be violent. On wen, Nov.15 and again on Th. Nov. 16 I called 911 and got an officer from the sheriff's dept. I was hoping they would help with the situation. Instead, they laughed at me. The young man later said he can do what he wants and they will just laugh at me. They gave him a green light. I of course, since had damage to the house. I have found the officers poorly qualified, poorly trained, rude, and since I understand they make about 50 thousand a year, I will say, over paid. If you have a problem, do not call the sheriff's dept. They will make it worse.
