When you buy an amount of CO2 in this app, you are buying an equal amount of "Gold Standard" carbon credit, that we permanently retire from the carbon market, so it cannot be resold or recirculated. Gold Standard was founded by WWF and other NGOs to serve as the benchmark in carbon markets. The carbon credits we are selling, are from projects with the Gold Standard certification. Gold Standard certification ensures that the emission reductions are real, additional and permanent. We are not associated with Gold Standard. Furthermore, coming from projects that also contribute to a minimum of three Sustainable Development Goals. This is why you can claim whatever amount of CO2 you buy, is offset.
