Skill Tree for Borderlands 3 Reviews

Ok, so this is a retraction of my previous review as SkillTree was severely out of dat (level cap was not updated since level 53). With the Level Cap increase to 65 (as it sits now) this is a fantastic tool to tweak and fine tune your Vault Hunters!! Thanks to the developers fo fixing this issue. Of course, this is just for the skill trees (too bad their are no slots for gear, but that would be impossible due to the shear amounts of gear..) but there is ample space to list specific gear items for easy reference. Thanks for the fix, guys. And, as a reminder, NEW skill trees will be added to the game come November10th, 2020. 😜

SkillTree is extremely helpful, but there are 2 features that would be nice to have.

The ability to include class mods would be beneficial to better tune your build. I know there are hundreds of class mods, so maybe just giving the user the ability to make custom class mods would be helpful.

Making the damage from skills scale according to level. For example, Amara’s phasegrasp inmune damage stays the same even after you waste all 48 skill points, meaning that you’d be level 50 with very low damage from phasegrasp.

This is a very convenient and easy to use app to create builds and reference them for later use without having to do the guess work in game and using more money then you should.

I would like to see a summary of the total percentages are for the skills you invest in. What I mean is when a player invests in a skill that gives 10% gun damage and subsequently invest in another skill that has the same, id like to see an interface that totals up all percentages of buffs. This would help to see overall percentages and a convenient way to see what combination of skills would provide the highest number of buffs.

Overall, SkillTree works great!

I love SkillTree. It gets expensive respec’ing all the time to try something out. This eliminates all that and allows you to map out your build. I use it all the time. Even has the action skill loadouts!

I would like to be able to share once finished. I go online right now to do that but would love to be able to out of SkillTree .

Also, there’s a great spot for notes and even a template to fill out which is awesome. However, I noticed it allows you to record as many notes as you wish but it only displays a very small portion of it. I can see the bottom half of my notes written out from the keyboard, but they don’t actually show up on the screen. Would love to see that fixed so notes can be displayed with build.

Other then that it’s fantastic and every Vault Hunter should have this no question.

SkillTree is really useful and any adds are rather infrequent. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to have a tangible view of a build or see what buffs an ability or mod will add to their concept! The only thing that I would like even more is I kinda wish there was a way to add in stats for a given gun, ideally including the special abilities of any named weapons to see the overall effects of a build as a whole on a given weapon.

SkillTree comes in handy so often. I don’t want to have to keep opening up the in-game skill tree every time I pick up a class mod to simply recall which skill is which. I also respec FL4K pretty frequently, so it’s nice to just be able to open SkillTree to plan out my next build. The in-game skill tree is fairly slow, which can be irritating, so I’m glad I don’t have to fool with it anymore. All around great app!

I enjoy SkillTree as it’s both free and works as advertised, if there’s anything I would add it would be to be able to take notes for each of the saved builds so that if a build requires a specific piece of gear you could note it, I just take separate notes but still a very useful app for planning out your build.

SkillTree overall is great, but it’s the little things that bring it down by one star. The menu options are somewhat small and make selecting things a bit of a chore. I also feel SkillTree is missing some small features like relic selection (only red text relics), shields (red text), and a overview of all three trees for easy viewing. SkillTree doesn’t need these things but some adjustments would be awesome. Would recommend!

Really like SkillTree . Very helpful for plotting a road map. It may be asking a lot but if it were possible to add some calculations for percentages for the trees it would be very convenient. This may be more technical than I'm understanding and it's a great app either way. Just like a summary of what percentage of each active effect is on after build would be cool. Still would highly recommend for theory crafters and all who like to plan ahead.

Even better than the official Borderlands website. It actually gives you the ability to REMOVE a trait without having to completely reset your build (what a concept...) Absolutely love it! Very easy to use and perfect for planning all my potential builds!! Now I just have to decided which character I want to use first... 🤔

I originally put this review at 4 stars because I said there was an error with flaks tree. Apparently SkillTree updates faster then gearbox’s own sites. I confirmed with the site finally and the game after I updated it and the trees are correct. Awesome app to use to help yourself build multiple trees!

This wonderful app has all the detailed information about each skill straight from the game with built in skill summary and note pad. If you’re looking to work on your build while away from the there’s no better way then unseeing SkillTree

I rarely write reviews but this developer is amazing. Great app, same day response time to a question I had & they updated it like the day the game did as well!! If you play this game it’s a no brainer & only 2 bucks to remove the ads as well as support them even a little.

I love SkillTree, and I use it whenever I build a vault hunter. However, SkillTree still has the maximum level cap as 60 instead of 65 which makes it difficult to plan out a VH while okay from my game. The new trees have been added, I was very surprised they didn’t update the Level Cap with it.

This is a must have for Vault Hunters trying to optimize their character(s) as well explore different roles based on their abilities. I can’t tell you how much this saves in game cash from “re-spec’ing” as well your time! Look no further, this is the best app. If it isn’t, well, it’s free! Good luck getting that offer from Marcus!

Hey SkillTree is great tool but we could pay $ to be able to
1) share the builds with friends like a share button
2) Be able to ad class mods modifiers to the builds
do that charge money for it many of us will be happy to pay for SkillTree . Otherwise i love SkillTree. 5 stars buddy!!!

I rarely use a computer I look at this stuff on the down time and was getting frustrated how it’s payed out on the website when looking on my phone. This is so much helpful for me since I look at it during breaks on my phone.

SkillTree has helped me keep track of all my builds that I’m working on and the ones that my friends recommend to me! If you’re looking for a way to keep up with your builds then I highly recommend Downloading SkillTree!

SkillTree is super convenient when you want to explore different builds on the go. The ability to save and name builds is great. The MAX and -1 buttons for an ability is a nice touch too. Navigation is smooth and intuitive.

Serves the purpose of keeping a list of character builds. Notes section is adequate for listing weapons class mods and relics. It would be cool if these had a predefined field. SkillTree does get the job done for my purposes.
