App run amok

This app has gone into hyper mode - I shut off all notifications, but it still pings me with alerts (it’s 1:35am, at this moment). Help! When I do go up to the WI Northwoods, I’d love to use this, but meanwhile I need my sleep! I have no choice but to delete this.

If you’re like me and got this app so you could be alerted when the Aurora was visible from where you live, then you will be disappointed.
For example, it will not be dark here until 3-4 hours from now. Yet, this application has been spamming my notifications for the past hour.
It goes on fits where it will spam notifications - never actually at a time when it would be possible to see Aurora from my location. And then when the Aurora IS visible from my location, nothing. I’ve had this app for a year, and live in a location where Aurora is visible a handful of times a year, and this app has never notified me that Aurora is visible. I always find out the next day, in the news.
In my opinion, the best way to ensure you are notified is to set-up alerts based on Twitter mentions / keywords.
