See original review below. Apparently the developers either can’t or won’t fix DailySpurgeonDevotionals . I wonder if they even read the reviews. I downgraded to two stars until the formatting is fixed. Why give the option for black lettering on a “white” background if that’s not what you get?

Good app but the formatting needs work. Because of my eyesight, a white background with dark black lettering is easier to read. I selected that option, but that’s not what you get. Once you scroll up, the background turns gray with a light black lettering. I mentioned this a while back, but it hasn’t changed. Otherwise I would rate it at 5 stars. I love that it has both Faith’s Checkbook and Spurgeon’s Mourning and Evening Devotions in one app. I used to have two different apps from this developer but having them together is definitely a bonus.

I like DailySpurgeonDevotionals, love Spurgeon, and appreciate the nice images and layout. I also understand you need ads. BUT DO THEY HAVE TO BE SO LOUD?!?!? The last thing I want to hear after a calming moment with the Word is a shockingly loud advertisement. A lot of times I read Spurgeon in the early morning and late evening. I don’t know how many times it has shocked me or woken up a family member. Please change this!!!!

This is my everyday go to devotional app, however, lately there is a glitch in DailySpurgeonDevotionals , and I can’t scroll through one portion to the next; it freezes up, and I have to back out of DailySpurgeonDevotionals and start over without reading through the lesson in its entirety.
It would be great if that was fixed.

Why? I’m meditating on God’s message, delivered by Spurgeon, and then out of the blue, a video ad comes on, telling me not to be afraid of cryptocurrency. Whoa! Not cool. This happened to my husband earlier today. Same ad topic. Cryptocurrency. Seems satan is trying every door. Can you remove the video ads? I’ll wait....

I always love to read Spurgeon’s daily devotional, and the arrangement of the content is amazing, with reminder is a nice touch. But if you can update DailySpurgeonDevotionals , so the display fits full screen phone?

I never give five star reviews unless DailySpurgeonDevotionals really stands head and shoulders above the rest. DailySpurgeonDevotionals is edifying and is easy to use. Worth the download if you would benefit from a little C.H. Spurgeon two or three times a day. Who wouldn’t benefit from that?

I love DailySpurgeonDevotionals! I found it looking for evening devotions. I am not impressed with the layout. Took me a second. And would like to be able to go back and read the day before if I finally get my devotions at 12:01am. That is a bummer. But otherwise it is a great app with good sound biblical teachings.

What a delight DailySpurgeonDevotionals has been! Spurgeon, one of the greats has been so well captured in DailySpurgeonDevotionals. The layout is beautiful and the readings quench your spiritual thirst giving you a great start to your day.

I have been strong in my faith for a while now and been wanting to find a devotional app with minimal ads. The Spurgeon Devotional app is AWESOME! It is really good at giving you the context behind what is said! Highly recommend!

Surprisingly large amount of Sturgeon content. Three devotionals a day. It seems fluid as it slowly moves the text before you. Even more, you can have it all read to you. Thank you.

DailySpurgeonDevotionals is 5 stars but we only get a small portion of the picture of Israel. We need to be able to click on the picture to see the entire photograph. Please!

I’ve been using DailySpurgeonDevotionals for quite a while now and I absolutely love it. I’ve been wanting to leave a review and a few times I’ve gotten a prompt in DailySpurgeonDevotionals and clicked on the button to come leave a review in DailySpurgeonDevotionals Store but it always gives me an error connecting so I decided to just look it up in DailySpurgeonDevotionals Store manually so I can finally leave a review. I enjoy being able to read the Scripture verse of the day, and also excerpts from some of Spurgeon‘s best devotionals, including daily readings from Morning and Evening, Faith’s Checkbook, and The Birthday Book. It’s such a nice comprehensive little devotional, I highly recommend it!

Charles is a Man of God and had such a relationship with the most important person on earth .Holy Spirit and I’m following in my Grandfathers name and I’m gonna bring Glory and Honor to my Master ,Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and never take any credit for anything and all I know is Jesus Christ and Him Crucified!

This is a wonderfully designed, easy to use app that allows you quick access to daily Spurgeon devotionals. I absolutely love it and appreciate the beautiful backgrounds and nice fonts making it nice to share with others and on social media. Thank you!

Awesome tool to get you going in the morning and gives you a restful peaceful sleep after you read. Support them for $5 if you can but if you this with ads it’s ok. Ads barely show up but do support them for the hard work on DailySpurgeonDevotionals.

Spurgeon is incredible and I love reading his stuff, but I have always found the apps available with his writings to be kind of outdated. Finding DailySpurgeonDevotionals made me so excited! It has an easy and familiar format that just makes it more user friendly and the graphics in the background are beautiful. I’m telling all my friends about it!

Great app for devotions. Wonderful thoughts from Spurgeon. I read the Morning in the mornings, the Evening in the evenings, and Faith’s Checkbook on a quiet moment at work around lunch.

I have noticed in the latest update one issue - the picture at the top of the screen extends over the text frequently now with no rhyme or reason. I don’t know if there’s a way to pin that down, but if so, that would improve the experience further. Thanks!

I love the subject of being able to access my favorite devotional on an app. They took it way far there than just the words on the page. They have added morning and evening devotional, layers of content with scripture verses of the days, backgrounds, and more. The settings choices are great too. My only suggestion is to improve the voices for audio.

I call it my Spurgeon time and can’t Waite to get into the word. I love the way the view of the Bible verse helps to bring each verse brings the verse to life for me. I never thought I’d become such a Spurgeon fan but I am because of this Daily Spurgeon Devotionals.
If I had any sort of complaint is I can’t go back and read the night devotional like you can read the morning. I really to reread the devotional and Faith’s checkbook.
Give DailySpurgeonDevotionals a try you may find a truly close time in thought and prayer.

The words if this man show he spent a lot of time with God which should the goal of every person on earth. The more time we spend with him the more we become like him. He inspires me to read Gods word daily. Thank you snd all glory to God.
