Good overall app, but!

See original review below. Apparently the developers either can’t or won’t fix the app. I wonder if they even read the reviews. I downgraded to two stars until the formatting is fixed. Why give the option for black lettering on a “white” background if that’s not what you get?
Good app but the formatting needs work. Because of my eyesight, a white background with dark black lettering is easier to read. I selected that option, but that’s not what you get. Once you scroll up, the background turns gray with a light black lettering. I mentioned this a while back, but it hasn’t changed. Otherwise I would rate it at 5 stars. I love that it has both Faith’s Checkbook and Spurgeon’s Mourning and Evening Devotions in one app. I used to have two different apps from this developer but having them together is definitely a bonus.
Loud blaring ads after reading is unpleasant.

I like this app, love Spurgeon, and appreciate the nice images and layout. I also understand you need ads. BUT DO THEY HAVE TO BE SO LOUD?!?!? The last thing I want to hear after a calming moment with the Word is a shockingly loud advertisement. A lot of times I read Spurgeon in the early morning and late evening. I don’t know how many times it has shocked me or woken up a family member. Please change this!!!!
Great daily devotion, needs tech work

This is my everyday go to devotional app, however, lately there is a glitch in the app, and I can’t scroll through one portion to the next; it freezes up, and I have to back out of the app and start over without reading through the lesson in its entirety.
It would be great if that was fixed.
