Harder levels are too tedious

This game is a unique take on sudoku, using various shaped tiles instead of entering each number directly. The levels are generated in a way that allows them to be solved logically without guess work. I have played tens of thousands of rounds of regular sudoku, using the various strategies and annotations to solve without trial and error. Unfortunately this game has a serious flaw, which is that the difficulty quickly becomes so great that it becomes pure tedium to try and identify a valid move. This happens towards the end of the “hard” levels. The fundamental flaw is that the game provides no mechanism to make annotations on the game board. Yes, you can position pieces around the outside of the board, but that provides only the most primitive assistance. There is simply no way I would be taking notes on a piece of paper in order to try and solve the puzzles in this game.

I feel this game is going to turn too difficult too quickly for most casual players, and it doesn’t provide enough tools for hard core players to reasonably solve the difficult puzzles. That only leaves guess work and luck, which is not why people play these sorts of games. 3/5 for now.

Big Duck Games are the best

Flow Fit Sudoku is a fun Sudoku puzzle game. FlowFit is solid and rarely hangs or crashes. The ads are fine, ranging in time from 5-30 seconds. I solved nearly all the puzzles (+2700) and by far my favorite set is the 9x9 Mega without any hints or clues. My only two criticisms are 1) on my iPhone 6 FlowFit is a power hog, running down the battery in a relative short period of time (not an app for on the go without a power bank), and 2) I haven’t seen new puzzle sets in quite some time; hopefully more are in the making. Other than that, I highly recommend FlowFit and in general other Big Duck Games.

Needs an undo feature and please organize the tiles

The game will flag an error when you place a tile down, even when it’s not obvious it was wrong.. The game solution knows it was it improperly placed tile but the player doesn’t. So an undue feature, even one limited and requiring purchases to get more would be very helpful and ease frustration, and a possible line of additional revenue for the game.

Another frustration is having all the tiles scattered all over the screen. I waste a lot of time to get in the game just organizing all the tiles into little groups so that i can scan the possibilities as I’m trying to place the tiles. It’s bloody tedious and not worth the time it takes to do it

All in all it’s a fun game, except for the frustration of needing to restart every time an error is made. And those bloody scattered tiles.

Only thing missing is “undo”

Love this game, I play all of the flow for games so was excited to see they came out with a new one. It’s very different but I really do enjoy it. The ads are not overwhelming, between games they’re only 5 seconds but you can watch a 30 second ad to get a free hint. Fair deal to me. The only gripe I have is that there is no undo button. It’s not uncommon that I accidentally “pick up” the wrong piece, or my finger lifts off the screen or something so it’s dropped in the wrong slot. Of course, you can just move it where it needs to be and continue but then you haven’t completed the level perfectly. There’s an undo button on all the flow for games so it would be nice to have one for this game too. It just needs to undo once.

Challenging

I love this game. I feel it deserves 5 stars, but it isn't perfect. The puzzles are really fun but they require a lot of thinking. That said, there is a point where they require too much thinking and a lot of trial and error, with insufficient surrounding space to trial outside the puzzle grid itself. I also don't like the way it keeps sucking pieces into the grid when I am trying to place them outside, next to the grid.

I find I don't enjoy the last couple rows in the Extreme packs, and stopped playing the wild puzzles after only a few. I wish there were more at the medium and hard levels.

Interesting puzzle ... not a flow type

If you like Flow Free and the like, you should not expect to automatically take to this. But like the other Flow puzzles, the premise is simple: place the puzzle pieces so no number repeats in the same row or column. Quite easy to start and it doesn’t get difficult for several sets maybe 50 or 80 puzzles in all. Too long I believe, but similarly to the Flow Free types, I wanted to have my statistics show perfect scores, so although you are allowed to jump ahead once you recognize the basic way to solve the puzzle at hand, if you skip, you miss that star.

I don’t think I will be as obsessed with this as I am with Flow Free on which I have just passed a full year of its Daily Streak puzzles.

My new favorite!

I finished all (free) levels in flow and saw the notification they developed this game and I absolutely love it. It’s not too easy yet not too difficult.
I think my favorite aspect though is how non-interrupting the ads are in this game. I’m sure this will change over time, but I really hope it doesn’t. The ads I’ve been getting have been little pop ups that allow me to exit the ad immediately instead of waiting 15-30 seconds like most ads. I usually just throw my phone on airplane mode or close out of FlowFit to avoid ads lol. Great work on this one guys!

Addicting game!

I actually paid $3.99 to remove ads, which is kind of steep if you ask me, Most games like this remove ads with any purchase of a puzzle pack (it seems like this game has all packs included for free, which is kind of cool, so may be a evens out), because I was so obsessed and couldn't stand the pop-ups. My only complaint is it's integration with game Center (perhaps it's a problem with game Center and not this game itself), after every level, Game Center tells me that I have now completed 25 levels. Seems like a glitch to me.

Finally Finished!

I, like others, have finally finished every level of this game, including the Mega Pack! Yay for me! It took 834 days to do (that’s the streak on the Daily Puzzle). This is a very fun game to play for those that want a different way of playing Sudoku. Some are easy and a few are pure demonic to finish. Out of the 7-8 games I have in my iPhone, this is the funnest one. It just hurts my heart that I’ve got to hit that “Reset Progress” button and start over! — Game has never crashed and there were no duplicates.

It’s exactly as good as it claims to be

The concept of a sudoku puzzle presented in puzzle pieces that must be fit together is a relatively simple one. The format of this game allows the player to focus wholeheartedly on the unique puzzles rather than being barraged by endless waves of ads, like in most other puzzle games. Also, none of the premium levelpacks require payment to play, they just require payment to play the premium levels without ads. The only thing lacking is that “mark mistakes” is defaulted to on. It should start switched off.

Excellent but buggy

Another great game from the team behind Flow Free. It’s an excellent an addicting formula but the current release has a few issues. Tapping anywhere below where you can move tiles will register taps seemingly at random on the screen above, which if you’re not careful can burn through your hints (which I don’t use anyway) or more crucially move tiles around on the board, causing “mistakes” or just otherwise moving things around.

Another minor gripe is the fact that there’s no forever pack, which is usually a no-brainer for me, as I like to get everything with one purchase vs many. That’s just me though. Otherwise a 5-star game!!

Addicting!

I’ve only had this game on my iPad for a little bit longer than a week but I love it. I don’t like playing mindless games. I like ones that make me think or challenge me mentally. This checks the boxes. The puzzles have been getting progressively harder so don’t worry if it seems too easy at first. If I don’t have time, I just do the daily puzzle to keep my streak going. I’m obsessed with getting a perfect score each time. If you like sudoku or puzzles in general, this is fun challenge that you’ll like.

Big Duck Games are Tops and this is my Fav!

I can’t say enough about how fun this game is! It’s the first daily challenge game I do every day.

I’ve worked all of the pack twice. Once, without doing them perfectly and again, getting the perfection star on each one. There are several thousand of them, too!

I always pay. Sure, it gets rid of the ads, but mostly because I want them to keep making these games!

If you want to check out other games by them, I’m a big fan of the Flow Free, Flow Bridges, Flow Warp and Flow Hexes too.

During a rough life patch, the kinesthetic feel to them was super soothing, and having to pay attention to solve them, was the perfect experience for taking my mind off things...and sometimes for helping me process them.

Thank you big ducks! I’m a huuuggggeee fan!!

Flow Fit: Sudoku

Great game.
A few big deficiencies, though:
1). The game image won’t rotate when my iPad is rotated. So, if I have the charge cord attached while playing, I can’t rest the iPad on anything (e.g. my lap). This should be easy to fix.
2). Some games let me use all the space around the game to arrange all the spare pieces. Others maintain a wide empty margin around that field, making it more difficult to test arrangements.
3). After about half way through all the levels, the rate of difficulty increase gets much steeper. It feels like hitting a wall. Not gradual, at all.

Great Game

This is the first game I have found in a long time that I have loved right from the start. Highly recommend!

Update: I’m still really enjoying this game & have only one complaint - I play the daily puzzle every day, but from day to day, my ‘streak’ statistic sometimes goes down, and sometimes by more than just a day. Not sure what is happening there - not a big deal, but should be fixed.

Need new puzzles, please!!!

Super fun brain workout

This is a great puzzle game, with tons of free levels and well done ads that I really don’t mind. I’ve noticed that FlowFit is taxing my phone’s battery and causing the phone to heat up near the upper back corner, below the camera lenses. I’m not sure if that is due to playing higher levels or if it started with the last software update, 3 weeks ago. It seems to be getting worse. So maybe it is the demands of higher levels. If this wasn’t happening, I would give it five stars.

Good but laggy

It’s a fun puzzle game, a combination of wood block puzzles and sudoku. There are ads during and after each game, but the big ones can be swiped away. My biggest issue is the lag spikes that it gets. It feels like an old java game when it ran out of resources and started jumping to the point of being unplayable until it finally purged its memory, each time having less storage to work with. If the lag wasn’t here, even with he ads, I would give it a solid 5 stars.

Love This Puzzle Game!!

Been a big fan of Big Duck Games for a long time, I remember downloading flow free when it first came out in 2012 (I had to look it up....)

I’ve played that game countless times, including all the different variants, this is a fun exciting take on sudoku and puzzle games.

The instructions make it easy to understand what they want you to accomplish, and I’ve completed the first 2 packs perfectly and am working on the 3rd.

I find it nice that you’re able to place the pieces in the space around the puzzle before hand to get an idea of what’s going to go where and still achieve a perfect score!!

Big fan!!

Side bar, since I do enjoy all of their games I DID purchase to 1. Support the team, and 2. To get rid of the ads, I HATE ads...

Excellent app

Excellent app. Easy to use and addictive. And an option to buy to remove the ads!! HOORAY! Sick and tired of the endless ads in apps anymore with no option to buy!! You have to endure endless ads 😤I delete them now right away. But not this one! Thanks for the option to buy!! And it's NOT a monthly subscription either. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable Fun

I started playing FlowFit one year ago. I rarely review apps, but I have to say this is a great one. I love puzzles, especially Sudoku type or jigsaw type puzzles. This fits the bill on both. Additionally, I’ve found it has kept my brain stimulated with the many variations it presents within it. This is a must for any true puzzler to have in his/her library of games on the iPad or other tablet. Love it!

Very fun and addictive!!

As someone who’s almost finished with flow, when I saw that you guys just released another game, I just had to check it out.

And just like flow I’m already hooked. You bet I’m gonna complete all 2000+ levels perfectly, it may take a year or so but I’ll do it.

Not sure if the daily puzzle streak things are added in yet but those would be lovely to have too!!
