Soulspace has an actually calming, aesthetic, minimalistic interface, and it has actual mindfulness meditation.
I’ve tried other Christian meditation apps that just end up stressing me out by reading endless verses while I’m trying to focus on my breathing or clear my mind. Sometimes they feel like they have no idea what mindfulness is and they’re just trying to make some Christian alternative to a popular trend.
The meditations in Soulspace actually take a moment to have you briefly body scan or focus on breathing, and they usually just drop one verse in your mind to marinate while you meditate with quiet ambience.
I do wish Soulspace had some even more quiet meditations that would focus more on guiding the common techniques of body scanning, visualizations, progressive muscle relaxation, centering on breathing, etc. I’d also love to be able to select meditations based on the technique it uses rather than the topic. Despite those requests, this really is the most legit mindfulness meditation with a Christian focus I’ve seen. Thank you!
