My Replica - Celebrity Like Me Reviews

MyReplica is so screwed it’s not even funny. Firstly, there’s some really poorly designed intro that plays every time you open MyReplica (no it’s not skippable I don’t know why). Full screen game adds like the one for final fantasy don’t have a working skip button so you have to restart MyReplica . The skip button in my case was located in the corner of my screen covered mostly by what little bezel my phone has (which is not much) forcing me to restart MyReplica just to even attempt to use it. Next if you somehow pass the gauntlet of full screen adds you are greeted with one of the most ridiculous paywalls for any app in existence. There is not even a justifiable reason as to why MyReplica should cost this much, their software is garbage and doesn’t do much to begin with. The biggest problem of all is that YOU CANNOT USE MyReplica WITHOUT SUBSCRIBING. If you do not subscribe you cannot even use MyReplica it does not even allow you do anything except take a picture, click the “Match with celebrities” button and sit there very confused as the only button on you screen does not work while no other text appears to direct you on what to do. I mean seriously you charge whatever you want for your app but WHY and HOW could anyone make something this terrible? Seriously how can you expect people to accept the subscription conditions without any peace of mind as to how MyReplica performs before their purchase? The people behind MyReplica are an absolute joke.

I really didn’t think MyReplica was as good as they advertise it to be. I personally thought the celebrity matches it came up with looked absolutely nothing like the pictures of me, my family members, boyfriend, etc. Even I could think of a better celebrity match than MyReplica seemed to. It also took a million years for it to match. I just think it’s one of those apps that is purposely advertised to make people go like “woah that’s so cool that’s so scarily accurate!” (looking at the celebrity match to the person); when in reality, it’s not that great and will bill you $99 every 3 months or something which I think is dumb. But who knows, maybe other people will have better experiences with it than I did. I just wasn’t impressed at all. I give it 2 stars because there was 1 decent match out of all of the photos I tried.

As all of you probably know, this shady app asks the user sign up for a subscription before usage. I nearly had a heart attack after I soon realized, their was no way to cancel the subscription directly through MyReplica . I searched and searched and I finally figured up how, and I want to share the process with those who are unaware.

Firstly, make sure you are in the category Apps in MyReplica Store. There are five categories (Today, Games, Apps, Arcade and Search) at the very bottom of MyReplica Store screen. Then in the top right hand corner of the Apps page there is the icon of your Apple ID, click on it. A page will pop up showing options: Purchased and Subscriptions. Click on subscriptions and then it will give you the option to cancel the subscription.

App Store>Apps>Apple ID Icon>Subscriptions>Cancel Subscription

This whole app is a literal scam... I downloaded just cuz I was curious and not only does it not work AT ALL, it'll charge you $99 after your "3 day trial" which you have to agree to in order for it to make a "match" at all. And then it matched me with a dude, and not only a dude but a guy of a completely different race... Not a celebrity either, but like a random high school kid or something. Like what?! And every photo I used brought the same guy. And that was with it's so called $99 "diamond membership"🙄 luckily I deleted MyReplica and when I did iTunes gave me the option of opting out/canceling the insane $99 after 3-day trial. I'm sure many many young kids have downloaded this BS and not noticed the fine print and have been charged $99 bucks a pop after a few days. Some scam artist created this crappy app. Don't download.

I downloaded this, ugh. Yes, I saw the awful reviews, but I was so excited, so I didn’t listen when I opened MyReplica immediately, it wanted a payed subscription luckily for me, there was a free trial button, anyways so I clicked that and played uploaded a photo and I clicked on singers.....the match was awful, and I think MyReplica new it’s percentage on how much I looked like this one person was 64 percent like, what the, your supposed to compare us to people who actually look like us, but I continued figured it was maybe just the picture and decided to change it, again, no one who looked like me, I deleted MyReplica the same day after using it, don’t recommend, maybe if you sign up, it might have better results, either way it’s an awful app. Needs more improvement. 😡

So I saw people making memes with a celebrity face website thing, kinda like this, so I decided to use this one, and no wonder this is 4+, so they can for real get $99 per three months, 12/3 is 4, 99x4 is 396. So to use most of MyReplica you have to pay $99. If you keep MyReplica and have it for one year, you’ve wasted $396. I didn’t do this because I literally just got MyReplica minutes ago, and already hate MyReplica . And this is coming from a 13 year old, it's fine to keep the diamond feature, just not on almost everything, and if you do that, at least make is $99 a year or keep it at 3 months and make the price low, but not that low, like around maybe $10 through $20 so you can still make profit off of it, have a great one though

You cannot have the first thing that pops up on your app be a page that asks you to pay $99 to use it. That is completely unacceptable when kids are using MyReplica and don’t fully understand what that means. Second off MyReplica barley works, it is super laggy and there are ads every 10 seconds. This is a super sketchy app made by sketchy developers that just want to take your money and not give you anything in return. Please do not download MyReplica, there are other apps that do the exact same thing and are not a total scam. And to the developers of MyReplica, I hope you feel good knowing that all of the money your are making from MyReplica is from exploiting kids who don’t know what that are doing.

Dear creators, I dislike the way that you have to pay for most of MyReplica . The lag is awful and the ads are constantly interrupting the enjoyment of MyReplica . I gave it 3 stars because I believe if you attempt to fix these things then maybe more people would be willing to download your app and actually keep it on their device. MyReplica does not work. I know this because I saw MyReplica on TikTok and it looked fun, so I downloaded MyReplica. In result couldn’t start it and it wouldn’t let me my my picture in to see who I looked like then when I was constantly trying to find a picture to see if it was just the Photo but when I tried to find another one it just skipped to scanning photo befor I picked one. The it said found face. After it said scanning again and the could not find face. Anyways after hoirs and hours of trying to get MyReplica the work it didn’t so I would not download MyReplica to save time, go spend your time with friends , family , or something else more important , thank you for your time.

MyReplica is pretty solid and does what you’d hope. But its kind of absurd that so much of MyReplica is locked behind paying $99 dollars quarterly. That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. It feel like that’s more to make some quick money off of kids who don’t know what they’re agreeing to. A 4+ age rating on something with such crazy IAP’s seems a little scummy. But at the same time, during the free trial and even just with one category, MyReplica is really nice.

MyReplica is a joke! First off, it only lets you do the celebrity match if you choose a diamond membership, which costs $99 for 3 months!!! What?! That’s unreal. The creators are obviously hoping that some poor sucker will check yes without reading that, or that you will forget to unsubscribe after the free 3 day trial. All that aside, the match that it made for me was so terrible my friend and I were laughing our heads off. Different hair color, facial hair, and the photo didn’t even show all of the celebrity’s face. So lame, don’t waste your time on this. And whatever you do, don’t allow them to steal $99 from you for an app that isn’t even fun for a single use!

The categories option doesn’t even show up for me at all. Even after signing up for the 3 day trial (which would be followed by a $99 quarterly payment???? LOL). I’ve added my picture from my phone and taken one directly and literally nothing happened. I still have no idea who I apparently look like, even though it seems like the matches others are getting aren’t that great either. This is the first review I’ve ever written for anything because I find it hilarious that this company is trying to collect $400 a year for an app that doesn’t work. Obviously I cancelled my “trial” instantly. Good luck everybody else

I never write reviews but I decided to because MyReplica has a high rating and puts ads that make it look good but I got it and it only let me get compared to men, it was set to girl and it wouldn’t work. I tried a few times and tried different people but only showed men that we looked like and the people look nothing like the person at all. It just chooses a random person like a computer generates a random person and it’s there and looks nothing like them. I’m a white girl, blonde and blue eyes and it says I look like Tygs and besides color there are to facial features or anything that I have similar to him

Not bad just instead of making trials and paying for it why don’t you just make it to have no trials or anything inside the game that you have to pay for. People should be able to go on a app that they got and not have to do the boring things because they have to buy the membership for the game. They should just ba able to have fun

So MyReplica does what it says, but really poorly. I don’t understand why I’ll be matched with someone with a “33%” matching rating. Ontop of that, I’m very white, so I don’t understand why I’m being matched with black people. We don’t look anything alike, so it just seems very incorrect. I only got maybe two people who I vaguely look similar to.
Also, I think your subscript thing is stupid. I think you should just make this a $0.99 app for people to one time purchase, most people aren’t gonna pay $9 for an app that has 3 minutes of use when they can find much better comparisons elsewhere or even ask their friends who they look like.
