Played HomeCross for a while. Didn’t pay for it, so I dealt with the ads. Out of nowhere a 5 second video in the middle of a game flashed on the screen with pornography playing. Deleted every app from this developer! This DID NOT happen in the normal places ads are run. This was mid game. It wasn’t an ad, it was imbedded in the game. It lasted for a few seconds. There is no way for me to screen shot this, especially since I’ve deleted HomeCross . Google this developer and you will see other complaints with the same issue. This game is rated 4+ years, its targeted to children. It’s a complete cop out to say that this happens to every developer. Take responsibility for your app.

I like nano puzzle games. But I was hoping to play the twists that I see in the advertisement. Doing levels in color, doing lots of tiny puzzles that build itself into one big picture. NOPE.

The token system is annoying; I have a different version that doesn’t require it, and I can play all I want with fewer ads.

Most annoying thing is having to start with easy levels before I can do something challenging. The 20x20 grid is a new challenge. However, I don’t want to waste my time doing soo many easy puzzles before I can actually enjoy a challenge.

I’ve had this game for a while & enjoy playing it. However, I’ve completed every puzzle except for VIP a long time ago. And I was told several months ago that new puzzles will release soon. The only new puzzles have been for master pass, which you can’t do without tickets. You can’t earn tickets without levels to complete or buying them. And then recently I was told no new puzzles will be released any time soon. So unless I want to pay for VIP, this game is worthless to me.

So I have the music turned off, but it continues to play. It’s not relaxing music. It’s annoying music and makes me want to bang my head. I like to play games like these while listening to podcasts and because the music doesn’t stay off it makes me not want to play. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading. Ive tried turning the music on and a different song starts playing over it. I turn it back off and the second set turns off but not the first. Rating will go up when this glitch is fixed.

I absolutely love this game, have been playing it for some time now. There is an issue now. It goes extremely slow. I tap on a square and sometimes it’s take 3 seconds and now it take anywhere from 1-2 minutes. This is so frustrating. This was my go to game and now having to wait minutes for each tap to go through is definitely not doable. It’s been this way for a month now. I keep waiting for this problem to be fixed but no luck.

I have been playing this game for probably two years. Though the ads are a little annoying, they are at least useful for earning extra tokens here and there.

With the most recent update in March 2021, the ads, whether these are ads I chose to click on (to earn double points, for example) or ads that appear randomly on their own, the screen has been freezing. There’s no way to close the ad and/or the counter showing the amount of time left on the ad is stopped and won’t continue to count down. This started happening immediately after the latest update. Within a few more days, now the screen freezes mid-game. Sometimes HomeCross will then close itself and I have to restart it or sometimes it just stays frozen until I restart it.

I have enjoyed playing this game but the amount of tokens needed to complete some puzzles are very high. Considering you don’t receive any daily tokens, unlike other games, you must either buy them or watch videos to get tokens. That’s great except your videos don’t always function correctly. Today I had to try five times to watch a video to collect 3 tokens. The screen went dark so after clearing that five times I finally see a video play. However just prior to being done, the video froze ........so no tokens and a waste of my time. Fix it please

I love the lay out, reward system, and bigger size puzzles but there are far too many ads that it really slows down my device. Making a few minutes of playing time into what feels like 4x as many ads to compensate. I would be interested in paying a little to remove the ads but a subscription is a bit pricey for me, if there was a middle option of a one-time payment to at least remove the pop-up ads would be fantastic!

I’ve been playing this “game / puzzle” for a couple of years or so and just love it. I recently renewed my annual vip package using my iphone; but the package didn’t transfer to my ipad when I logged in. When I contacted metajoy to help me resolve this issue, i got the message that “this is not a live chat”. It takes HOURS and HOURS to get a response. Finally when I did, I responded back………it took hours and hours upon hours for them to reply. I,m still waiting. VERY FRUSTRATING; especially since I’m a paying customer.

I don’t mind watching ads. It’s what pays for a free game app, but the ads on this one is too much. I opened up HomeCross today and get hit with two popups requesting me to purchase a bundle or pack from the dev and when I finally get to a level and press play I got hit with a 30 second ad.

It’s just too much. There are other ad dependent nonograms/picross out there with less abrasive tactics.

They get a 3 because the game itself is pretty decent when you actually get to play.

The latest update was great, daily gifts were greatly needed to be able to even play the game, but I can’t double the amount because none of the ads will play. I’ve been stuck playing games that cost 5-10 tokens because the ads no longer work. The token amount needs to be higher than 10 tokens especially when the majority of the games cost 14 tokens and up, the highest being 50. I've gotten nowhere near that amount except for the few times I've completed a Quest. Some adjustments still need to be made to make this game flow correctly. Especially more colored options. Other than that, it's fun and holds so much potential.

I have played games like this before, when they didn’t have ads and really enjoyed them. This one just has too many ads to play. When you think you’ve gotten back to the game, you are still watching ads. Then when you actually do get back to the game it starts giving “hints” that aren’t helpful or are too helpful. They actually show the moves to make. Kind of a spoiler if you ask me.

I’ll start with the positives, you get a good amount of tokens and coins and unlike with other nonogram apps you can play a good amount without having to purchase tokens, adverts to play puzzles are plenty and the challenges give a good amount of tokens as well.

My problem is that many of the puzzles are easy and out of the 500 of them or so I’ve done so far I only used hints once. There are 2 or 3 of them I came across that were repeated in other levels/sections. The advertisements get a little grating too, an advertisement when you start a puzzle when you first open HomeCross , an ad when you finish the puzzle, oh you messed up the puzzle and want to retry? You get another ad. Some ads that are under the puzzle sometimes pop out as a video out of nowhere. I expect ads for just about any app but this is the most excessive use of them I’ve ever seen.

I really like this nonogram app! I like that you have to complete different photos to earn different daily rewards. My only complaint is that I wish they allotted more coins and tokens for watching videos per day. I think 10 for each would be better. Especially since they offer subscriptions that are ad free. Because then the people who have subscriptions would watch more ads which is actually more beneficial to HomeCross owners.

Great game! The only issue is that if you accidentally hit too close to the left margin it takes your coins and fills in the answer. I think that the margin is too close. Or...maybe it needs to ask the user if they are sure they want the answer or not.

Idea:

I think it would be great if before it reveals what the picture is that we get the opportunity to guess what the picture is. Maybe get more coins for getting the answer correct.

I really like the puzzles, but lately there have been glitches. For instance, I have paid for no ads before playing each puzzle and now i’m seeing ads. Also the scroll ads at bottom of puzzle interfer with the timing of the puzzle. Going to keep playing, but obviously stop paying for no ads until they get the glitches fixed.

I love this game but I’m at a point where I can only play once or twice a day because the amount of tokens I need to play any of the levels I have available is more than I get without having to pay for some or watch a video. It wouldn’t be that bad if I could just watch a video to play a level, but it seems like that only happens once every 4 or 5 days

I’ve been looking for a puzzle game that isn’t completely mindless and is actually challenging. After I found HomeCross, was completely in love! But I do have a few suggestions though. I somethings click the side too much and it gives me a clue and wastes my coins even though I didn’t want a clue. I would also suggest that the boxes after each level have more coins and tokens in them. Overall, I would suggest to download this game. It is very fun and I can’t stop playing!!!

I am writing this review because I spent $5 on energy and maybe some coins and I still have a ton of energy even after having purchased it about a week ago. I had another app like this where I spent $5 and went through it in 10 minutes because they increased the energy costs for each level!! It would go from 8 energy to 45 so if you bought 500 energy you know that would go really quickly with that spike! Just wanted to say I’m glad HomeCross doesn’t do that because it’s scammy and I need to try to remember that that app is called and warn people.

TLDR get HomeCross, if you buy energy it will go a long way

I cannot say enough good things about this game. It has been my favorite game fie two years now. I do pay the yearly subscription to avoid adds since I play it so much. I have only had a problem once with the game. I emailed support via the directions in the game and received a super quick reply with instructions to fix my problem. Their support team is amazing. Also, they keep updating and adding to the game with new events and levels all the time. Even though I have played it so much, there are still more levels and areas for me to play. It’s amazing!
