Update: Jan.’24– instead of IMPROVING the game they made it even harder to win..and NOW they are asking us to BUY land for their game! I tried to convince them that my way would get them more people to play but evidently they don’t care. Now I really am going to delete this game.
Update: July’23- after two updates unfortunately they haven’t gotten the message. I started playing the new feature game and immediately lost! What’s a disappointment. I tried to do the next game but I lost immediately! There is now no reason to play..they just want money. :I’m done. It’s so frustrating and when it gets like that it’s hard to play and it’s boring. I’ve tried to tell you what to do to get the game interesting but you all don’t listen and I’m tired of trying. I even bought gems and you made it like you were cheating me so I just couldn’t spend any more money. I don’t want to delete this game but you guys are making it too hard and therefore BORING! I’m going to give it until the next update and if you don’t change it then I will delete this.

An overall 2/10 game. I can’t say I liked it in the slightest. I can’t say that my expectations were insanely high given how it’s a free mobile game, but with the amount that they were pushing the 3D ads I figured that there’d at least be 3D cutscenes. There’s incredibly good free mobile games, for example, things like the Obey Me! series and the Cats are Liquid series, but this game is just embarrassingly subpar. The moments that you see in the ads? In the actual games, they’re one-note dialogue with characters that I personally thought were difficult to get attached to. The gameplay elements are also disappointing. They rip directly from merge 3 games like Merge Dragons, as well as any basic match 3 puzzle game, and the most annoying part is the amount of tutorials along the way, as if no one has played that kind of game before. If anything, there should at least be an option to turn off tutorials, and if there is one that I missed, it should be easier to find.

And believe me, I’m a teenager with ADHD who’s always downloading different games to have something new to stimulate my brain with. This game has nothing I haven’t seen before. If you want a merge game, get Merge Dragons, Merge Magic or Evermerge. Don’t waste your time on this game.

You took a beautiful game and some of the updates are great but you have made it almost impossible to update land and get some of the rarer creatures with the added complete puzzle features..Some of us pay for gems some but you have turned this into a chore and sorry to tell but you are losing a lot of players..I have gone from having so many players that it took a week to gift each one one time now I gave three that play..What does that tell you..I would hate to see this game lose even more or even have to search for another after so many years but what’s one to do..The reason I gave you 5 stars I’m hoping for a response this time..I had to delete junk you updated to work on my garden..I used to play everyday and consider it fun now it’s a chore and I will not be supporting you and will probably be deleting you..I’ve been with you since the beginning and seen you through a lot of glitches but this is on you ..I’ve lost to many things on here and never got a response.. Due to your lack of response I’m gone..You just don’t care.. I didn’t put the S there..I put CRAP..I told you I wouldn’t get a response..

Thank you so much for the tap to confirm on selling items; it really helps and I am very pleased you thought to put it in. Huge win. Also glad to see new puzzles added and hope that is a commitment going forward as I sometimes play them to break up the merging and feel the game would have less dimension without them. The creatures are wonderful and I appreciate the work you’ve done to find and depict them. All in all I really enjoy and recommend this game. I do wish for more space as more chains need more stages to build. I cleared all the pink land already; was worth it to me to get a good start. But I prefer to do multiple projects at once so I can keep it fresh, and the crowding does get frustrating some times. 4.5 stars. Update - not any more. I got this for relaxation, and now it just frustrates. The garden is full, and there’s nothing new to merge. Not entertaining to just make things and delete them. The sheep event is boring- too much linear merging of a few items. And now they’ve made the puzzles more challenging than entertaining, so they’re no longer a fun way to divert from the merging. And the honey makes the screen glow too much.

In the beginning, there was lots of game time, and the experience was so fun but now after eight weeks, I no longer can pass a level without playing the same puzzle for a couple of days. You will be offered plenty of in game purchases that can enable you to move forward even to the extent that they come up while you were in the middle of your game on your screen. I started making purchases to support the game because I really enjoyed it until I realized that I no longer could move forward without a purchase. When contacting customer support about this, they had no answer other than go to the Facebook group for hints and tips. What I found was a lot of people not being able to get anywhere in their game without the frustration of playing the same puzzle over and over and over again. I take this time to leave this review because this game has a lot of potential. It’s too bad they can’t be a little more considerate of people and a little less money hungry.

But the game is full of glitches, so you have to keep exiting out and going back in. Suddenly, you’re unable to sell the magic bubble or baskets unless you exit out and re-open the game. The bubble that continuously floats around your garden and blocks your view doesn’t even work when you tap on it to watch a video to get a free item. Nothing happens when you tap the button. You’ll be gifted each day with eggs that you can’t hatch unless you buy them using gems. Want to use the hen house to store all those useless eggs? You need to buy the slots using gems. While playing the match puzzles, you’ll create a bomb and it won’t destroy anything but itself. The puzzles get so increasingly difficult that there’s no way to solve them without using gems - cheapest is $5 - and as you level up, the more puzzles you have to play to expand your garden. I’m at having to complete 15 before I can expand and I only got that far because I caved and spent $5. I’m not willing to keep spending, so I’ll be deleting the game soon. It’s really such a shame, because if they fixed the glitches, gave you free access to the hen house, if you could harvest gems and if the puzzles were solvable on the second try without having to use gems, this would be s number one, top notch game. I’d pay upfront for a game like I described. Instead this is just a greedy money grab.

It’s a shame because the game is promising, with great characters, a great storyline and beautiful graphics. But the difficulty of the puzzles and the amount needed to pass a single level have rendered the game unplayable. It’s unreasonable, and it’s clearly to make you spend money/gems. I have no issue with spending money on games, but I don’t like to feel like I’m being strong-armed into doing it just to be allowed to continue a game. And clearly it’s an algorithm of sorts, because after 4-5 failed attempts at passing a level, the game gives up on trying to sell you power-ups and gems and lets you pass the level, all of a sudden, mysteriously, conveniently, with 14 moves to spare! Hmmm… clearly not about skills. You just have to suffer through playing each level 5 times until the game allows you to move forward.

And yea I know that the developer is going to say that they’ve tested all the puzzles and they had no problem passing them without gems or powerups (hmmm), but I’ve done a test of my own. I’m no stranger to match-3 games. Currently playing three match-3 games (Gardenscapes, Candy Saga, and Merge Gardens) and the other two don’t even come close to this constant level of difficulty to pass Merge Gardens puzzles. I all but forgot what the plot was and all but abandoned all the other features of the game just to focus on passing 15 puzzles. Every. Single. Level. Just to move forward a little. Such a shame.

I’m very disappointed because I actually enjoyed this game very much at first. Sadly, I have had the same experience as MANY people in the reviews in which the puzzles were fairly easy at the beginning of the game and then became very difficult to pass. There is no reason that so many people should be having to spend money just to advance. It’s obviously not a skill issue.
You have to pass usually at least a dozen puzzle levels to level up and get new missions. This would be fine except that almost every single one takes forever to win. It is clearly set up so that the player is at a huge disadvantage and nowadays that is usually just a ploy to get people to spend their money. If you don’t advance, the game gets VERY boring, and it becomes impossible to do so without spending money.
If the developer actually cared about improving the experience of their players, and not JUST about making money, they would answer with more than the “some levels are more difficult than others” response. That means that they don’t even care to look into it even though there are TONS of reviews saying the exact. same. thing.
It makes me sad because this game has a lot of potential. I don’t mind spending some money to support a good game, but I will not play a game where I am FORCED to spend money.

At first glance and after playing this for a few weeks, the normal levels are fine and seem like any other match 3 type of game with varying difficulty. The events on the other hand are not worth it. The levels are harder to accomplish their goals with less total moves. Why this makes the events not worth it, is the fact you cannot advance in an event without passing these levels. No prizes or anything to help you with your normal levels. Only way to get passed most of these levels is to use gems which cost real money. I dont mind paying for things if there is a good reason. When every level is like this, it is not worth. This just shows this game is a money grab by the developers. They will say this is a free to play game yet the levels prove otherwise. This could be a 5 star game if they balanced out the difficulty and made it to where you were not forced to use gems on every level.

I loved it when it started, but they replaced some characters and I’m not feeling it. Much of the charm of the game is gone. Gramma’s gone, interim female character gone, some other new female character now. Dude with a bird on his head is not as appealing as the stork. Glad the hedgehog is gone but he could’ve been reworked to be cute, maybe more like a real one in your garden. They’ve added supposed mystery but it’s just uncovering characters it seems. Some ui has improved but then that made space for more unnecessary stuff on the screen. The biggest annoyance is the daily trade, ie, “give me x of this and you’ll get x of that,” the arrow never goes away after you look at it. You have to complete it for it to go away, so you always see it when you’re in other parts of the garden directing you to go back to it. It’s like, I saw it, am not doing it, be gone. It’s not going to make me complete it, more like stop playing. Now when your score goes up, it pops up in the middle of the screen, very annoying. I can see my score in the corner, I don’t need it in my face. I feel they try to annoy you on purpose. I’ll still play, but it’s not as cute or enjoyable as it used to be. Prefer less people-y and more creatures that you’d find in a garden. More updates just resulted in removing a star. It’s getting even less enjoyable.

I have never wrote a bad review on a game but this one is horrible! Just wanted a fun little game to do something when I want to relax BUT OMG I have never gotten so annoyed paying a game!

You can get far at all just playing the garden because you have to play match games, which I normally enjoy doing but they make it practically impossible to win the after the first few games when you first start unless you spend money to get more moves? 15 moves to clear obstacles, clear the whole board, then have to clear it again (To get the tiles you removed to turn into grass) and collect 120 red hat pairs when the chances of getting that many on the board within your 15 moves is one in 100? I want to have fun, if I wanted to get upset playing a game I would play a real one.

Matching is not hard it is the way too many obstacles they put in the way and with those obstacles how the heck can you clear the board and get collect enough of what you need with buying more moves!

I downloaded this game because of the catchy ad. At first, it was a fantastic game. It incorporated a lot of what I like in games - puzzles, merging, and a story to boot (kind of). HOWEVER, one thing I noticed right off the bat is how difficult the levels became to clear shortly after beginning this game. I also noticed that we are not given a ton of items at the beginning to help start us off. I honestly sometimes like really easy puzzles with the occasional hard one but these are just annoying when I’m trying to get them complete to keep merging and advancing. Another thing I noticed is everything takes gems - not coins - and the gems are not given out very often AT ALL. This is one of those games where it feels like you have to pay a ton of money to get anywhere. I hate it because I REALLY liked this game, but I don’t want to spend much if at all. I spent a little bit to get gems and an extra garden, but I don’t think I can play this anymore. I guess I’ll stick to Lily’s Garden or Homescapes where they actually throw a bunch of freebies at you occasionally or let you win stuff to help you get through the game.

I have been enjoying merge games, so when I saw this on another website, where certain actions give points (did that & never received the points). I was hesitant only because I avoid 3 match puzzles. But I tried it out and was enjoying it. Now, I am reminded why I avoid the puzzles. It becomes nearly impossible to beat and it is way too low of levels for that. I find myself playing it less and less, since there is no point to it. If you can’t complete the puzzle, let alone 15, you cannot unlock areas. And if you can’t unlock the areas, there is no point to the game & it becomes deleted. Add on the birds, who are always in the way, cause deleting of items really needed, and there is no undo button, it becomes a waste. I spend more time “flinging” the birds out of the way, which doesn’t work and I just shut it down. More days pass each time before I open it again until it will soon be deleted. Will they ever give us an option to hide the birds to play the game more… probably not!

It used to be a five star game but in the last couple of months your improvements have started costing… Not just money and lots of my $$$but it’s costing time! This game used to be fun it’s not longer fun! Out of all the games I have on my phone this is the only one that I have not deleted after a month or two but at the end of the gym subscription that I recently purchased I will be deleting this game!! Which is pretty sad because I’ve been playing this game for quite a while and I do mean well over a year! Which is a very long time for someone who has Trumatic brain injury! The great little mini games are just that they are great! But the fact of the matter is this everything now cost money a lot of money it is also costing me a lot longer to get a level complete I have spent several hundred dollars and I still have not gotten the next level unlocked so that I can get more land and to me that is beyond ridiculous so rather than giving you all my money I have decided to stop I’m going to delete this game and I’m going to start spending it on me in a better way I’m gonna start getting massages to help my tension instead of playing a game where I get no results!!

The only great thing about this game is the cinematic ad video that got me to download the game. The graphics are great too but good Lord this game is extremely boring. It takes FOREVER to collect nectar to clear lands. The birds go to sleep too quick then you have to wait 20 minutes or longer for them to wake up to make nectar. You use them 3 times then they go to sleep again for 20 minutes. It requires a lot, and i mean A LOT of nectar to clear areas. Even at the beginning of the game. I played for maybe 15 minutes and already had to wait hours to clear land. Quite the dumbest idea for a developer to do honestly. Your areas get overflowing with eggs and useless stuff to the point you run out of room. You end up losing interest on the story, which thats another issue. Because of the long, very long waiting periods of times that you have to go through, there little to no interaction between characters. You just play for a minute and wait hours to collect nectar and clear lands. Probably the worst game ive ever played. Its just a waiting game, everything you do you have to wait hours and hours. Barely enjoyable. Don’t fall for the pretty advertisement video. Its very disappointing because it looks like a good game but i can tell it was made by greedy developers looking to empty your wallet.

Only downloaded this a few days ago and I’m already bored. The game advertises the story, which is not the main part of the game. Building out a garden or the house is also not really part of the game. It’s just merging items, filling up the area you have very quickly so all you can do is play, basically their version of candy crush. Not what I expected so I won’t be playing any further.

Visually and technically the game is cute, the art is adorable. The only issues I’ve had are learning what can even be done in the game at any given time and moving the board around as it requires finding a point that doesn’t contain a moveable item or the item moves rather than the screen. Guess that’s why you have the option to lock items.

Only game play issue I would like to note is that there does not appear to be a way to sell, trash or in any way remove items from the game board that require a real money purchase or waiting however many eons it would take to collect that many gems without offering real-life funds. Wish there was a way to remove unwanted items, even if I got nothing in-game in exchange.

This is a fun engaging game that I get sucked into for hours especially during events. The duality of this game makes it unique, it is a merge game, yes but it also features a match 3 puzzle game integrated and intricate to leveling up which makes this a really cool game… on the downside accidental merges happen all the time because the touch interface can be a little glitchy at times. Their response to these issues in their faqs page is a let down and in general the issues department has issues. When you reach higher levels the amount of space that you can open each level gets smaller and smaller and does not accommodate the fact that you need a ton of space to merge those high level items and thus you can’t do anything unless you delete items. There should be a storage area like a lot of these games have. Also you don’t have friends to help you with match three energy and other things that would be useful.

I am a merge game addict. I discovered my very first one about 3 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I only installed this one today but there are a few features I’ve found thus far that I PERSONALLY don’t care for. Not that they’re all necessarily bad, just not my jam. For instance, I don’t care for the match 3 feature. I wouldn’t mind it being there as an option, but I don’t like being forced to play it to advance in the main game. I’m here to merge! The animals are cute but they, as well as the other objects, are just too small for my old hands and eyes, and although there IS a zoom ability, it won’t stay zoomed in. Also, the main board tends to jump either out of zoom or to another location when things happen such as land healing. This has already caused me to accidentally collect objects I had intended to save for big merge. Overall, I like the premise of healing the garden and the cute artwork but I can’t say I’ll keep this one.

Hi, I’m Cassidy. I played this game for a while, until my phone deleted it automatically from me falling out of it and not playing it for a while. Once the game had a complete revamp, I redownloaded it, and expected the purchases my grandmother made for me to still be there. Once I had to log in, it hadn’t saved my account. Once I got in, I re-did the tutorial like the first time. But, once I got into the game, there wasn’t a “download old data” or “log in” button. I even looked on another device to see if I could find anything on my old account, which I just got connected to my new one, without the purchases. My grandmother cannot even open the game, it doesn’t load her in, and it just flashes from the loading screen to black repeatedly. She has made purchases on hers as well, but we can’t see if she has the account nor purchases because of the loading in issue. I do love the game, but it should’ve had a restoring data option for players who had made purchases, or who were deep into the game.

I like this game a lot, I think the actual gameplay is very fun! But the game struggles a bit in quality of life, such as having birds flying all over your screen when you’re trying to merge things; I wish the birds would fly outside my map until I’m ready to use them! They fly all over the map and I get kinda frustrated having to constantly drag them around out of my way.
I also feel like the game would benefit from more story! The ads for this game are so nicely animated and promised a story, but then the game itself doesn’t deliver on a story heavy game. Some of the dialogue/character aspects of the game make me wonder if it’s AI generated because of the way characters talk to each other being so clunky and strange. I think more story would really help the game but if you’re just playing for puzzles I think it’s a very fun game, I play it everyday! It just needs some quality of life changes to be even better :)

I’ve been playing this game for about five months and I really love this game. It’s very Zen but lately it’s gotten expensive. The puzzles are harder it’s less Zen because you have to spend money constantly if you want to get anywhere and I know that developers need to make their money but I have other games that I have gotten well further and spent no money and the developers are still making their money. this is the first game that I spent money on. That’s how much I like the game but you would get a lot more income from your Fanbase if you made the game a lot more Zen in reaching goals. I hope the developers are listening to their Fanbase because a lot of people are not happy with all the upgrades you started off having a strong Fanbase, but you’re weaning off people will stop playing this game. you have a great opportunity to do something for your fan base. If you’re willing to listen.

I originally wrote a glowing review because this game can be super fun, and the graphics and colors are beautiful. However I’m at level 40 now (btw there is no land awarded at level 40 😡) and for a while now, the match games are just too much hassle considering we only get 5 lives at a time. Sometimes I’m just trying to level up you know? Why does EVERY match have to be so difficult and take every life? And then after 15 lives when I get through ONE (and I need to win 20 of them to level up), the next one pops up saying it’s “Super hard”. Arghh!! Makes me want to throw my phone out the window. And also, there are times when I just want to play the match games to relax but again…. Only 5 lives. Even when I spend the money for a ton of gems, I end up using them all on lives. It’s getting so annoying that I’m about fed up with the game altogether.

This is a nice little game. I love match 3, and play 3 match 3 rpg, so when I finally dl this game, I was pleasantly surprised

I have to address adverts. This game does not stop for adverts. You can, if you wish, however, watch adverts ‘til the cows come home. They offer them, you decide if you want to watch them

There are lots of things to develop in this game. I didn’t realize this, and was about to get bored, when I accidentally clicked the friend icon and looked at other people’s "homes". Gorgeous and clever things, I can’t wait until some of mine grow some more 😃

I do wish there was a preview, for people like me, of some of the great things one can create in the game

In the beginning you will only have a very few flying creatures. I was constantly annoyed, because they would do about half what I needed, then sleep forever, lololol. Now I have a ton of flying creatures, and they are constantly in my way! There’s just no pleasing some people 🤣

The puzzles get a lot harder as you go along. But if you like those kinds of puzzles, they’re solvable. Sometimes it’s just a matter of playing the game enough times until the right board pops up. Some boards just aren’t winning boards

So, with all that being said, I like the game. I look forward to playing it every day. And it’s up to you if you watch no adverts or 120 every game

I gave it four stars instead of five because the difficulty is set far too high. I completely agree with other reviewers, the game appears set to a high degree of difficulty so you will buy gems. However, after using every life you have with multiple attempts, or every gem you have, the level mysteriously becomes beatable. I would actually give the game 3.5 but that option isn’t available. I have played, and am currently playing several of these match 3 games that I have played for years. This one is by far set at the highest degree of difficulty. I have probably spent between $30-$50 on this game already, which is far too much for the rate of progress. I love the storyline, thus the high stars. The rest of the game is fabulous, but the difficulty is a big problem.
I have considered just deleting the whole game, but the storyline gameplay saves it. If the developer would fix the difficulty it is a five star game all day long.

I normally have the patience to sit through a couple minutes or so to get items so the pacing of the game isn’t an issue. I love the graphics and once you get going , it’s hard to stop. The game has a lot of events that pop in and out, I’ve gotten really good at taking advantage of those and my garden is so cute now. I’ve finally spent some money on it but that’s only because I wanted cute things. The puzzles are frustrating and sometimes I feel like the goals for the puzzles are impossible unless you get a good randomized one but hey they’re meant to be frustrating, they’re puzzles. This game is enjoyable, there are a lot of aspects to it that’s a little confusing like the different fruit trees that drop different things if you merge them but it’s a minor detail. If you spent time here to there playing the game, you’ll get pretty far. It’s not meant to play in one sitting.

Game is addicting because this is the only game that I play there’s nothing else that you catch me playing never play merge Gardens without my permission and I’m sorry whoever accidentally deleted it but you have but you have to get that back you have to try again I just merged the eastern humming the Easton bird it is so beautiful it’s eyes are beautiful everything is beautiful about it and you can move on him and get that you can get there it’s this game is just amazing you could never stop playing it that’s the only games I have and I have like I don’t know 20 games how much delete all my games and just play Marge Gardens because that’s my only game and I’m going to try to play any more games no offense but there are Marge gardens no I’m sorry now where do you go to merge in games out there for you to play I am sorry for if my words are looking different right now I’m using the voice thing so just make it make sense to you

I love this game so freaking much. I normally don’t put money into phone games because I want to save to buy pc games but this one is worth putting some money into. I bought two island expansions and it has made it a never ending bonanza of fun and entertainment. I think the artwork is superb and adorable.

I played all of the other similar merge games, and I have to say the mechanics in this one are superior. You can easily place as many matching items together as you want without accidentally merging them too early. This makes it more enjoyable and less frustrating because you aren’t losing loot as easily.

No adds, charming music and ambience, exciting loot and there’s always something to do in the game. The only thing I’m missing in my life is more of these types of games lol, easily fun and appropriate for any age as well.

I wanted to add that I love ocean themed games. I’m hoping I can request a merge ocean with an Atlanta’s type theme. I think it could be a amazing addition to the merge games. I can just imagine little seahorses and sea anemones to level up. PLEASE IT’S ALL IVE EVER WANTED!!

I’ve played a lot (like a LOT) of merging games and match 3 games. A game that offers both!? Score!
And the art is so, so, SO good. Blow up the images so you can see the details, and you’ll be amazed. Somebody (or a lot of somebodies), put a TON of effort into this game. Unlike many merge games, the creatures are detailed, highly variable, change as they mature (don’t just get larger) and move in unique/realistic ways. Owls soar. Dragonflies dart. Bees—oh, those funky bees—kind of dance around. They even carry objects from the appropriate appendages (beaks or talons or legs) and some small ones “struggle” to carry heavy loads and fly at the same time. I also love the new events and really hope they continue past the holiday season.
I really have only one request: MORE PLEASE!! I seem to have discovered the entire garden. I have my fingers crossed that more will be unveiled soon. Thanks for a GREAT game!

I love this game and spend a lot of real money as it’s worth it to me. However, the puzzle I’m on, 1104, just isn’t possible. I’ve used real-money boosters, extended the play, but nothing helps. One goal of this level is to clear yellow pieces. Once you get down to one left, no more yellow pieces drop. I’ve merged two of the pieces that remove every piece on the board…and when the replacement pieces drop not one is yellow. I’ve now tried four times using different strategies and it’s the same every time…the second that you only need one more yellow piece, you’ll never see another one.

I don’t mind spending money. I very much mind throwing money away on a puzzle that can’t be completed. Guess I can’t play the next puzzle special event since I’ll never be able to complete another puzzle. Please please fix!

I’m giving this a 5 star so people can see it and hopefully the creators will see it as well. MAKE! THIS! INTO! A! MOVIE! The ads are so amazingly animated it’s not even funny. I’m more interested in the ads than playing the game! There’s people on almost every social media asking you all to make it into a movie or series because we’re now all invested into the story. You guys would be more successful making it into a movie. And reading some of the reviews y'all aren’t doing too well making this game. Listen to your viewers, not just the reviews on MergeGardens, listen to the viewers that are on social media. Everyone is in love with the storyline not the game. The animation is on point, the storyline is so far captivating, and the voice actors did a great job with their characters! MAKE IT A MOVIE !
