Bring back the Sabres app

2024-11-14

This has to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. If I could give it zero stars I would. First off everytime I try and update my profile picture it doesn’t take. Then, all I want to use it for is Sabres’ games updates, because I live on the West Coast, and games are usually starting before I get off of work, and it can’t even do that! In the settings everytime I turn off the notifications for all the other teams they just auto turn back on. And OK I left them all on because there was nothing I could do, but then I don’t even get any game notifications for the Sabres, when again, all notifications are on and allowed! Ridiculous. I had to delete this worthless junk, it was too frustrating. No idea why the team/owners got rid of the original Sabres’ app. That was amazing. Game and player updates ALWAYS worked. Including all the other content, such as ‘Beyond Blue & Gold’. Bring back the original Sabres’ app and please, please, please, I am begging you from the bottom of my heart DO NOT GET RID OF THE BILLS APP for this stupid thing.

AWFUL

2024-11-14

OneBuffalo is absolutely awful. I’m a big Sabres fan, but I work second shift and go to classes usually when games are on, so I don’t usually get to watch them. I used to love the old Sabres app to keep me up to date on trades, scores, and just general news.

I only just recently realized that I wasn’t getting notifications from OneBuffalo anymore and when I tuned in to see what was going on it redirected me to OneBuffalo. I’m not quite ready to give up on the Sabres yet, but OneBuffalo is ridiculous. All I want are game notifications on the Sabres. JUST THE SABRES.

I despise football, I don’t care about the Bandits, and I can’t afford to attend events that they’re pushing. I don’t think we’re asking for much to be able to adjust notifications to just specific parts of this this app nonsense. OneBuffalo pretends to let you be able to do that, but then flips all of the notifications for all of the events back on as soon as you scroll back up. It’s enough to drive a person crazy. If this doesn’t get resolved soon, I may just have to forget about Sabres updates.

Another thing I don’t love about OneBuffalo is that it was clearly not designed for the average Joe Sabres fans in mind. I may not be a season ticket holder, but I like watching the games just as much as any other person. Stop trying to shove all of these other things down our throats.

Wish the Sabres app would come back

2024-11-14

I’m not a fan of OneBuffalo at all. The latest updates make it a bit easier to navigate, but I don’t want information on the rest of the Buffalo teams. I just want information on the Sabres, which I used to be able to get with the Sabres specific app. Game updates, player stats, team stats, the roster, beyond blue and gold, etc etc. The Sabres Specific app even allowed me to sync the Sabres game calendar with my calendar right on my phone so I didn’t have to manually input each game. Disappointed in the fact that the Sabres were combined into an app that hard to navigate, has less information and no Sabres specific perks (like beyond blue and gold and the calendar.)

Horrible compared to the previous app

2024-11-14

I was able to track the Sabres when I wasn’t able to watch the game. Just tonight alone I received text notifications with the wrong info 4 times and the games score was incorrect for a while. Also I used to be able to access so much more on the old app. OneBuffalo is geared more towards the experience inside the arena more than for fans that are unable to attend a game. Please update this to fix its many bugs and incorrect info.

Crashes constantly

2024-11-14

I’ve never been able to get this thing working, which as a season ticket holder for the Sabres is incredibly annoying. OneBuffalo crashes either immediately at launch or immediately after I sign in, using the most up to date OS. Support robot suggested using the newest app version, ignoring that version is what I was seeking support for, then no response after. Bush league, sorry y’all.

Notification glitches

2024-11-14

I would love to give this 0 stars. I’m not a fan of anything else except hockey, I do not want notifications for the bills or anything else OneBuffalo follows. But when I turn off the notifications in the settings, as I scroll down the ones that I turn off magically turn back on. I want the Sabres app back the way in was without the whole “one buffalo” theme.

Miss the Sabres App

2024-11-14

I have enjoyed using the Buffalo Sabres to one day opening it and it saying it’s moved to the one buffalo. I downloaded it but it is not user friendly. I just want Sabres Information and game day stats and OneBuffalo is so hard to navigate and the game day view is not the same. Please bring back the Sabres app. OneBuffalo is terrible and not user friendly it is full of unnecessary information

It’s ok

2024-11-14

Not trying to bash OneBuffalo. I rarely write reviews and I’m giving my honest opinion. OneBuffalo seems rushed and needs some work but does have potential. First off, the “home” screen design in my opinion is terrible and needs drastic changes. Hire a good UX designer to make it more sleek. I like the hamburger menu. It’s very common across many apps and web applications and most people know what it means. Put some more work into OneBuffalo and it can be great!

Is there a game? What is/was the score

2024-11-14

When I open OneBuffalo it’s to see if there is a game today or to see what the score is or was when I miss a game. That info is nowhere to be found in this version. It was always right at the top on the old Sabres app. I haven’t explored any of the other things in OneBuffalo. If it doesn’t do the two most important things I want I’m not going out of my way to use it.

Not intended for IPad

2024-11-14

OneBuffalo works fine for IPhone but don’t try to use it for an IPad. You will only see about I/3 of the screen due to an overly of graphics. Can’t even begin to navigate with this limited view.

Sadly with the elimination of the Sabres app there really isn’t an IPad option for more in-depth Sabres info. Too bad and not a great look for the 50th anniversary season.

Miss the Sabres app

2024-11-14

I hate that all of the notifications are grouped. I’d like to receive only the Sabres notifications. Also, I miss being able to scroll ahead to see the next few game times instead of looking at the full schedule. PLEASE don’t stop supporting the Bills app too 😢

Just Not Great

2024-11-14

Not well executed. The idea of having everything together seems fantastic. It’s not.
Sabres portion of OneBuffalo is much worse.
Buffalo deserves better than this. If you’re going to put all the efforts into one app, then at least make it better than this pile of mediocrity.

App quits constantly

2024-11-14

Just downloaded OneBuffalo earlier this week. Worked for 1 day. Using it on updated iPhone 8. Today it starts to load then unexpectedly quits. Bring back the old app.

At last... it’s working on the I-Pad 😊

2024-11-14

After the last update, we can now access One Buffalo on our IPads... thank you for helping us follow all of our teams.

Much better

2024-11-14

After a few frustrating weeks I’m happy to say OneBuffalo is working so much better. It also now works on my iPad. Thank you!
