I wish I could give it less than one star. CartoonYourself has no help page and no way to contact anyone about the service. I figured it would be simple enough, and I only wanted to try it one time. I started the free trial and I submitted one picture. It said it would take 4 days to complete, and gave the option to get it within 12 hours if you buy two more coins. I tried and it didn’t seem to work because the status of my order never changed, so I thought it might be a glitch. I tried one more time before giving up. It never worked. I never got my picture, and 3 days later I was charged the monthly membership fee because the trial expired. (you get nothing with the trial, you still have to buy things separately and it has zero features that would make you want to purchase a premium membership) I was surprised to see the two additional charges from when I tried to expedite the process because I never got to actually use the service. When I canceled it in my settings, it said I would still have access to the membership until May 16th. Even though it was a bad experience, I figured if I can’t get my money back at least I can use it for a while. No. I went to CartoonYourself to check the status of my picture and it still wasn’t done. It also takes me to a page to sign up for a membership when I try to import a photo just to see what would happen. So the membership does not continue if you forget to cancel the free trial. Not worth it all, try a different one.

Paid $5 to get my first cartoon made by an “artist”. Got it 5 mins ago and my gosh.. it was terrible? Seems like it was done by someone (5 yr old)who has no experience in even editing.. he/she just used the same photo I sent and literally smudged or painted on top of the picture and it looked horrible. Didn’t provide a png file for a transparent background. The resolution was crap! Blurred and all. Horrible app. Not worth downloading or paying them anything. I don’t know if it was the “artist” that was horrible but not a good experience.. I want my refund!

I got scammed out of 5 dollars and didn’t receive my photo. I’m the type of person to read reviews first but just this once I happen to not read the reviews. Lesson learned. To good to be true. I also signed up for the trial. Once you sign up they still make you pay for coins in order to “So say” purchase your edit. Which you will never receive. Be smart. Read the reviews. Believe the reviews. Believe the star ratings. Completely garbage app. Save your money or spend it on something LEGIT!

I think CartoonYourself is a scam. I submitted a photo and signed up for a monthly subscription after I didn’t receive the photo in a week (which was the projected time) and there is no way to contact support. I waited a month to give the benefit of the doubt but there is no contact information or way to ask for help - even when searching on a computer browser. Find a different app. This one is not worth giving a shot.

I read an online review of the best photo “cartooning” apps and chose this one from the list. I wanted to give my husband a cartoon drawing of each of our kids as a birthday gift. I uploaded three pics and paid for the coins, and weirdly each pic was not the same amt of coins though there was no explanation or breakdown of why. I then noticed the turnaround time was anticipated as being many days so I bought and used additional coins for the faster turnaround time of 12hrs. That was almost two weeks ago and I’ve received zero communication from CartoonYourself , zero cartoon pics of my kids, and a weekly bill for being a “member” of this stupid fraudulent app. Like other reviewers posted, there’s absolutely no email or phone numbers to contact so my only choice was to cancel my “membership” (member of what IDK) and then I hit the button to cancel each of the pic requests. I’m assuming I’ll never see my money again, and at this point I’ve already invested over $50 in this stupid thing so hopefully my post, along with others, will keep others from losing money to this sham of an app.

Wish I can rate CartoonYourself less. I paid for a picture, it gives you an estimate of about 3-4 days, then the estimate disappears and it just stays on submitted, now waiting it finally just gives you the option to cancel not even giving you your money back or anything. CartoonYourself was such a waste of time and is just trying to take everyone money without even a customer service you can call. Ridiculous don’t even bother trying, find you a good cartoon app! 🤮

I signed up for the free trial and even paid extra to have my photo completed sooner. I waited 10 days and I never got a notification when it was completed I just checked today to see if it was finished, and what I found was a piece of crap image that had what seemed to be a saturation filter over it. It represents absolutely nothing compared to what they advertise. This is a complete disappointment as I was expected a photo drawn of the image I submitted. Don’t even waste your time with CartoonYourself.

I signed up for this thinking it would be a huge asset to my business, I run a doggy daycare and wanted to send my clients drawings of their pups. I did the 3 day free trial. I submitted my drawing and had to pay $9.00 right then. I was told I would get my drawing in 3-5 days. 3 days later was charged for the monthly subscription. It’s been over a month and no drawing still. They have an email address you can email, but I have received zero communication. There are a lot of better apps, don’t download!

I downloaded this for a project and when I downloaded it, I agreed to the first option of free for 3 days and then pay for it after, and it said it came with the “pro” features. The reality of it is when you agree to terms and upload a photo, CartoonYourself gives you 10 coins and you need to buy 5 more to even try CartoonYourself out. Kind of greedy in my opinion after agreeing to pay for it in the first place and then having to make in app purchases to do the first step. Thumbs down

I paid to get two pictures turned into cartoon filters and it’s been a week and a half and still haven’t received anything. It told me delivery time was 5 days unless I paid for membership after already buying $20 worth of coins. Every time I open up the pictures i selected to be worked on CartoonYourself just closes. Terrible app that apparently accepts money and never completes the service. I can’t wait for them to be sued for false contracting people when accepting their money and not completing their promise. If they actually read these reviews I want my money back!

Tried free trial to follow with month membership. BOUGHT 5 coins to speed the process up to have it done before the membership started and me being charged. Nope. Didn’t work. Instead it took my money and gave me an expected delivery time of 5 days. The day after the free trial ends. Which means I’d be charged regardless plus I wasted the money to get 12 hour delivery because it still said 5 days. The 5 days ended (it has a countdown) and still nothing. Just says “submitted.” DONT waste your TIME not your money.

Unfortunately, CartoonYourself is utterly useless unless you pay $2.99 and then wait more than 5 days for your results. If you choose to not pay the $2.99, there is nothing you are able to do except look at other creators projects. You cannot create your own nor ask another creator to make you one unless you pay the given fee. Which leads me to the conclusion that unless you want to be scammed into paying for a 5 day delivery service on which you don’t even know what you’re getting, I would advise against downloading CartoonYourself.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I tried to find out more about CartoonYourself , and the next thing you know … they enrolled me in a “premium subscription for 9.99 per month! I couldn’t even access the services that they had charged me for because after the subscription, when I uploaded a photo, it still wanted to charge me an additional 9.99 to cartoon one photo.

There are no instructions, there is no support and no clear explanations regarding the process and what what you are paying and when. I am absolutely disgusted.

You get a free 3 day trial, but you have to buy the artwork (no big deal), which takes 4 days lol. This is by design. There’s no way these “artists” are so busy they need 4 days to render some pictures in photoshop/illustrator. It’s set up this way so they can charge you. The free trial gets you nothing.

Also it states that you can cancel the artwork order for up to 12 hours, but after pressing cancel probably a dozen times, it won’t cancel. It also doesn’t tell you that it will take 4 days to complete your artwork until AFTER you already buy it.

Pure scam.

When you first download CartoonYourself , you need to purchase an "annual subscription" for $80 which ia "free to cancel within 12 hours". Right after purchase, the only way to cancel is through calling Apple, which is significantly harder to get a customer rep on the line, or you can change to the 1 week trial for $3.99 then cancel then (which is what I had to do). After wasting $4, i hoped I could at least make use of it but found that you need additional coins in order to make yourself a cartoon anyways. You start off with 10 and you need 15 for every filter they have. WORST APP EVER. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

I literally have never wrote a bad review on anything because I usually just don’t care that much of an is kinda sucky. But this one I paid for something and was promised what I paid for in return. Honestly I think this is a huge scam unfortunately. I submitted a photo AND paid for it to be completed. Originally it said it’d only take 4 days roughly for it to be completed and turned into a cartoon image. Well we’re getting close to 2 weeks now and still nothing. It says it’s “completed” yet there’s nothing to click on. No way to get in contact with customer service. Overall not a great business model or app.

I wanted to see how one photo that I had would look in different ways and I saw CartoonYourself and I figured this would be a great way to test out how I liked the way it looked I paid the $80 for the year because you cannot get any artwork done thank God I was able to spare that $80 or I would’ve been furious there is no way to contact anybody in customer service there’s no way to get your money back or talk to anybody they say that they have artists it is a LIE this site takes your money uses another site to put a filter on the photos then makes you wait a week while their ARTISTS are finishing up!

This is an absolute scam! How can apple still offer this on CartoonYourself Store???? it seriously needs to be removed! You pay for the “free” 3 day trial, then after that it is $9.99. Well that trial gets you nothing…you have to pay an additional $9.99 for an “artist” to render your photo into a cartoon which takes LONGER than the free trail (they say about 5 days). Brilliantly scammy right there. Day 3, while you’re waiting for your art to come in, you’re charged the monthly membership. Then of course…NO ART WAS EVER MADE FOR ME AND IM OUT $20 AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!!!

Maybe it used to be legit (it’s still 4 stars average…how???!). But now nobody is at the helm. It’s just collecting cash and giving nothing in return.

I downloaded CartoonYourself wanting to use it for one picture so I signed up for the free trial planning on canceling the trial after getting the picture made. When I was trying to upload a photo they wanted even more money just to chose a photo. So I went through CartoonYourself looking for a way to cancel the subscription before they charged me for nothing but there was no way to cancel the subscription through CartoonYourself . I tried finding a website for CartoonYourself hoping that I would be able to cancel it there but there was no website for CartoonYourself . I finally found out I could cancel the subscription through my apple account before they could charge me for anything.

I ordered mine two weeks ago for free and after like 3 days in it said it should be ready the next day. I forgot and and then a week passed since I ordered it and their was no info when it was coming I looked today another week later still not ready and their is no info when it will be ready.

Not only do you have to pay a monthly fee for CartoonYourself after only 3day Trial. But then have to turn around and pay coins. Yeas coins to actually have your cartoon made. And it’s 15 coins for 1 photo witch is about $15 for 20 coins. That’s stupid. And a waist on top of that there’s a good chance you’ll never even get you cartoon done. Just a waist of money it’s a scam.

Downloaded app...then found you had to buy coins to make an avatar. Willing to do that, but when I tried to buy coins, it initially looked like the purchase went through..then I got an error message. Stupidly tried it twice. Was charged, but no coins show up in my account.

I did not realize you still had to buy “coins” to get a photo edited. When I signed up for the trial, I thought the monthly/yearly subscription is what paid for the photos and app in general. Ridiculous and very disappointing, as I was excited to use it. Unsubscribed from my trial as soon as I realized.

Don’t waste you’re time. The thought was great until you realize. You don’t get to edit the picture you want. You’re paying someone else to. Not only that. But you have to agree to pay to even be able to open up your photos!! Ugh, save your efforts and keep scrolling.

I agreed to the subscription because I really wanted a photo. However, even after the subscription, you have to purchase coins to purchase an artwork of your photo.
I purchased 20 coins for $15. My photo cost 15 coins. However, they used 18 coins and I (still) have received no confirmation nor photo.

So I downloaded CartoonYourself and I was exited because finally I could take a picture and look all cartoony but NOOOOOOOO. As soon as I went in CartoonYourself I edited my profile and pressed the plus sign so I could make a cartoon picture of me! As soon as I pressed it a whole SPEECH popped up and it said there was only 3 days free and then MONEY MONEY! Well no. Please CartoonYourself said it is free but it’s not! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! IT’S A LIE GUYS A LIEEEEEEE!🤬

I signed up for a trail and bought coins. I’m still waiting to get the coins I purchased. There is no support to get help from the developer. I didn’t even have a chance to experience what seems to be a terrible experience for all that tried CartoonYourself. Avoid it, skip it and refrain from downloading CartoonYourself. I’ve deleted and requested a refund from Apple. CartoonYourself should be deleted from CartoonYourself Store until the developer get it together!

I was dumb enough to purchase without reading reviews. I paid the lifetime fee, then I bought enough coins / credits to get a picture edited. One week later after uploading a pic I haven’t received anything. Apple needs to lay folks back. Ripofffffff

They dont respond to messages. Apple, how do we get our money back?

I bought 10 coins - selected what I wanted and now I have absolutely no idea what’s next. There no notification of my order. I don’t have an idea where’s the cartoon of my son. This is a bummer because I wanted to share with my family for his birthday today. Now I’m out $8.99 and have no idea what I spent my money on! There no faqs page. I’m lost and frustrated.

So after thinking the subscription fee was a little high. I figured, might as well give it a try. Just to find out I have to buy coins to get anything done. So I tried to purchase coins.. it says successful but when I go to checkout on my photo, the coins I purchased aren’t there. Then I go to rebuy and I get the notification that I already purchased the coins and they will be restored. And still NOTHING

So I go into CartoonYourself and make an account. I try to make a cartoon photo by pressed the addition sign and then I press import photo. Then it pops up a whole thing saying I need to pay. I’m very confused. If u had to pay to even make a photo (which is the apps purpose) then CartoonYourself should have to cost just to get into it. I don’t pay for editing tools or anything in apps because it’s a waste of time. Who even knows that the tool is gonna be good? That’s a big waste of money.

CartoonYourself is atrocious!

I have never downloaded an app that I hated so much that I strongly believe Apple should take action by removing it from CartoonYourself Store.

CartoonYourself says it is free however, it’s only free for three days and after three days they automatically enroll you into a subscription service if you do not cancel before your trial ends.

The only way for you to be able to try CartoonYourself out is if you give them your credit card number and that is where I stopped.

If what other people are saying it’s true that if you purchase a subscription you still have to make an additional purchase by purchasing credits in order to get your picture that you created I think that’s a really horrible business model.

$13/ month, $30/year... After you install CartoonYourself you pick from several different cartoon/caricature styles(which is actually picking your artist). A subscription page is then prompted with the aforementioned options. You select one and pay, only to find out that you must then buy $Hi+ loads of “coins” to commission the artist to do your sketch.. here’s the best part- nobody does your sketch! I’d rather be robbed at knifepoint.. CartoonYourself could be so cool, as the styles they advertise are the best of any cartoon-photo app I’ve found. All for not..

Once you download CartoonYourself will give you a free trial and then after 3 days start charging you. This free trial “unlocks all features.” This is a lie, you have to buy coins with real currency to even use any of the features. So you have to subscribe and then pay extra for each photo you edit.

It’s been days and there is no confirmation that the item was received or any information on how long it would take. I feel like I’ve been robbed. There also isn’t any way to contact or report from CartoonYourself ...

Never received my picture almost been a month

This is scam because it’s been a month since I bought it and wanted to be done and it never even show up i’m really disappointed in y’all and I would give a absolutely ZERO STAR this is BS
