Great idea ... Lacking items

Tldr: don’t trust the database there are many, many more options then BuildCores displays.

Great idea for a phone app. Having an outline of a build on hand is great, and the ability to look up optional parts is great for planning or working around problems/dilemmas.

However, the database is severely lacking in items. I wonder if BuildCores is just for advertising and the developers are getting kick backs for clicks, as the scope is quite narrow and ignores a huge amount of other available options, brands, and models.

Refuses to Open after tapping the RAM Button.

I had gotten BuildCores so I could use it as a better advantage shortcut for PC Part Picker. Was working on what was my first low budget gaming PC, but I clicked on the RAM button to select my DDR3 RAM, and BuildCores crashed. It now refuses to open, even after closing BuildCores (swiping it up), and restarting my iPad. There are multiple improvements that are needed, like less advertisements, and of course the crash bug, but I won’t reveal the rest until the bug is fixed. Great app, but needs some major improvements.

Needs updating

BuildCores is very well organized and appears to have very good intentions. However, there is one major flaw in that it lacks its advertised large library of different components.

They only have the most common or most expensive processors, and one thing that bothers me is the lack of different versions of similar components or just a general variety. There are so many more components than there are listed, and the developers should really add more or create a system in which people can add components themselves.

Really well done. Just missing the database.

I love the UI. I love the feature set. It looks and works gorgeously and I can see this being an essential tool for us computer nerds to price and compare and keep track of our dream builds. It is much more convenient to use than pcpartpicker.

The only downside is the size of the database. I know the developer has stated that they are adding more parts and pieces every day but it is missing quite a few newer makes and models of certain motherboards, graphics cards, and everything else.

I know the items lists are growing but I would love to see older and used parts added as well (even without the prices or benchmarks would be fine).

Anyways this is a beautiful application and I look forward to giving this a permanent place in my storage.

Very good

I think BuildCores is almost as good as pc part picker. The biggest differences are that this apps prices are not 100% accurate. Although Pc part picker has the same issue, it is worse here. It also doesn’t have every part I want to use. These flaws can’t outweigh how great BuildCores is. Would definitely recommend downloading it.

Good UI & Fluid App - Needs One Feature

I love how BuildCores and interface are displayed and so fluid. It is a good alternative to other services that are only on a web browser.

There are a couple features it needs however. It needs better part compatibility checks and needs an option. Where you can edit the price and mark items as purchased.

Needs a better selection

I've been using build cores for about 5 weeks and planning three build my new personal build, my friends personal build, and another friends build but I've had alot of issues of not finding the parts I've been trying to find if it's not a certain brand of GPU the. It's ram I've been trying to find for it as well. For example I tried to find the Zotac 2080 to put into my build but I can't find it maybe I'm just bad at using BuildCores but it gets quite annoying

The app for the pc building beginner to enthusiast

Love the all around, friendly features. Very easy to navigate and use. Very useful if you're ever thinking of building a new pc because it shows you compatible parts and what not

Inly downside is the lack of parts of available. BUT, BuildCores is new and the developer that more components are coming very very soon

All in all, love BuildCores!

Lots of potential

Very cool concept, easy to use layout, and it’ll store your parts lists. Parts database definitely needs to be expanded, and a manual search function would be great, but otherwise works very well. Looking forward to future updates, would love to see BuildCores continue to grow and improve.

Great App Just a Few Tweaks

I love BuildCores I think it is really helpful to use if you want to build a pc. However, I think that it could use some features like a budget, and a feature that tests for compatibility. Also I think that it could have a explanation feature to help explain to new users/builders what the parts do and why they are needed.

Best you can get here

Normally I would just used PC part picker, but I wanted to have this on my phone because I don’t always have my crime book next to me. It’s an all-around really good app and very easy to use and I suggest anyone that’s looking to get a PC get this for quick and easy use. The only problem I have with BuildCores is that it doesn’t tell you if it updates prices on pieces or how frequently it does it. But there’s no reason to knock off a star because of that. And again I would really suggest this to anyone who wants quick and easy access to parts and prices easily.

Recommend For Any PC Person

I downloaded BuildCores recently and even bought the premium version. BuildCores is very easy to navigate and looks absolutely beautiful. I enjoy comparing parts for my current build and seeing prices for each part. My only critique is if we could see price changes of parts and have an option to add missing parts from the database. I have 2 parts in my build that don’t show up in the list of parts on BuildCores . Besides this, I am having a blast with it! Looking forward to seeing what BuildCores has to offer in the future.

Pretty good love to see added features though

Fairly good especially for people building their first pc. So far i havent been able to find a build with the build compatibility setting on that wouldn’t work but i would love to see additional features added such as a psu calculator and/or a bottleneck check feature to see if your parts are potentially overperforming for your motherboard or cpu.

An app for PC Enthusiast

Great app, overall it’s easy to see the amount of work that went into it very well done. This will make a great app for PC Builders and Enthusiast.

Suggestions:
-A larger database of items will be needed perhaps in the mean time allow users to input their own specs.

-Separate the items a bit further such as by brand. Instead of having a large list of motherboards, separate them by brand then chipset. Would help clean up and make navigation easier.

-Less animations, this ones just a pet peeve but I feel as if there are too many animations for the actions! It just makes BuildCores feel slower and doesn’t have that snappy feeling when you click on a button and it instantly performs the action.

Overall great app and I can’t wait for future updates!

Best pc build app

I have been planning for the past weeks, I am personally a picky person like seriously picky and I found this pretty good enough help for all the people who needs help with their builds. More of pieces are missing and some details about the existing pieces that are already on BuildCores would be great. Very friendly and easy user interface creating a good experience. Please guys keep it up making better BuildCores I would be pleased to pay for a pc build app.

Wonderful App - Lots of Potential

BuildCores is an amazing tool that has helped me visualize my future PC, and even provided a space where my dream pc build can come to life. I think this is a great app, and it is going places. One thing I would definitely love to see in the future in BuildCores is 3D modeling. This would really set BuildCores apart from others. However, that is a major goal to accomplish, and in the meantime, just adding more parts to use is great. Overall, amazing app, and I would definitely recommend.

The best helper tool

Okay, first off, BuildCores is amazing for its simplicity and the functionality of it! I’ve been wanting to find good components for a computer to buy, and this is the perfect tool! All of the other computer building apps don’t work as well as this one. There is also a lot more than just building a computer, you can literally make your own parts, in the community! You can also share your builds, and comment on them, overall perfect app, it’s free, fun, and simple!

A pretty good app, just not many parts to choose from

I really think BuildCores could be amazing, but at the moment it’s kind of limiting.

Other than that it’s really well designed, the compatibility filter seems to work great, and overall it’s an enjoyable experience.

It would be neat to be able to see builds other people upload to a community page within BuildCores , but that’s a pretty big demand and isn’t a reason to like BuildCores less. Just giving an example of how BuildCores really has the potential to do a lot.

Advanced user

When I saw BuildCores I got excited because I just got done building my first build but I started building my second one using BuildCores with not many issues at all. There were some bumps at first but then I learned more about BuildCores and found out some things that made building easier and more reliable. I recommend BuildCores to anyone beginning their first build or even starting the 30th build. No matter if you are starting or an expert at PCs, BuildCores makes learning or even just building another PC, easier.

Finally can figure out what I’m doing

I’m not good at building computers, in fact I never even have. I figured BuildCores out in less than an hour and made my dream build after another hour. BuildCores is so easy to use and it’s amazing.
