A weekly 2.99/ subscription just to unlock the same unchanging, never updated content. You should be able to buy add on packs at a one off price- I’d be happy to support. I respect app developers and content creators and they should be compensated for their work. However, a weekly subscription model in this context is purposely deceptive, and you can tell they hope you download, briefly use 5SecondRule and then abandon it. All in the hopes of you not noticing the continuing weekly charge and then cancelling. This is against Apples own subscription model guidelines, but both Apple and Daygames don’t care as long as they are making money off of people who don’t know any better. Have some integrity... I knew to cancel but a lot consumers don’t, and that’s what the creators are banking on. Please everybody save your money and just buy the physical version. A weekly subscription should be for a continued weekly service, not just for access to unchanging content. There is a reason they don’t offer subscription tiers - 2.99 weekly/ 12 monthly / 156 yearly - because consumers would be alerted to the low value for the actual cost. They are taking advantage of a loophole, because legally reprimanding this behavior could potentially damage legitimate weekly subscription apps that deserve to be paid weekly. Again have some integrity...
This game keeps renewing a subscription I NEVER signed up for. I used the free trial for a week and then deleted it off my phone. I just re-downloaded it to try and cancel this weird automatic subscription that has charged me several times over a few weeks, and I can’t find the cancelation anywhere. Learn from my mistakes.
They charge you even though you ask to cancel your subscription!!! I sent a email and told them I wanted to cancel because it wasn’t the game I was looking for and they still charged me!
I deleted that app so I assumed that I wouldn’t be charged but come to find out you have to unsubscribe in order to stop the payments. I was getting charged 3$ a week for months with no email or anything. Just -3 dollars for no reasoning. Payment didn’t even show it connected to the stupid app
The game isn’t fun and they’ll try to continue to take $3 every week from you even after you’ve deleted 5SecondRule and the subscription. I’ve had to email to get them to stop taking out the subscription (never signed up for/ don’t even have an account) from my Apple Pay and am still dealing with this. It’s super annoying.
I had to agree to $3 per week after a free trial to continue playing the game. I agreed, then decided to delete 5SecondRule because I wasn’t playing it anymore. They continued to charge me even though I had 5SecondRule deleted.
If you're gonna charge $3 a week to subscribe to this simpleton game... At least correct it from spelling errors. "From" and "Form" are two very different words lol.
everyone and their cousin seems to be switching from one-time purchases to subscriptions and it’s honestly getting a little ridiculous. if you make decks for a game, you should be able to purchase those decks individually and own them. i think the subscription service could be a feasible option since it unlocks all the packs at once, but there needs to be an individual purchase option too.
other than that, the game is fun and there are two free packs which i appreciate. it also doesn’t have to be played as a drinking game if you are just looking for a fun family game night.
I just downloaded 5SecondRule yesterday and it is a lot of fun, lots of laughs while playing! I would love to see the other content BUT I think a subscription is too much . Obviously the weekly subscription is to try and get more revenue, but I honesty feel like a one time purchase to unlock all content is more befitting. I don’t see 5SecondRule as a constant use to have a subscription to, just an on occasions type thing. Please consider a one time payment option to unlock all content, maybe somewhere like $6-8. I think that would be more profitable honestly.
It’s a pretty cool drinking game—-I just don’t see the point in having a subscription! Should just be a one time buy.
Five seconds that’s a fast five seconds extremely fast five seconds can you slow down?
I wasn’t going to write a review but the pup came up and it’s was adorable great game just way tooo fast
Y’all better be lucky im drunk right now cause I don’t write reviews for anything. So congrats y’all my first. Done played two round with my babe. Even though I cheated a little and took baby sips I’m still drunk. And I’m the one who won both rounds 😭💀. So yea this does the job well. Especially if You are competitive.
So fun! The user interface of 5SecondRule is spectacular and promotes a positive gaming environment for the family, friends or people looking to have a little fun ;)) good stuff!
The pop up puppy was SUCH a nice addition and really improved my experience. So happy I finally have a way to play this game on the go! Win for moms everywhere.
Sad corgi made me leave this review. He just keeps staring at you all sad like. Couldn’t leave him hanging.
We love playing this after a long day of work. Thanks !
This is a great way to start off a fun night. My friends and I make each other drink when we do not get something right.
Have fun
Honestly I was not going to rate this game. Like many people I never rate games. It just seems like a minor inconvenience most of the time when the “DO YOU WANNA RATE THIS GATE” popup appears. However this game caught me off guard because when I said “No” to rating the game. The popup puppy that carried the sign in didn't go away. He just got sad and stayed on my screen. So to appease this small digital puppy I clicked him and rated this game 5 stars so he'd be happy.
I’m trying to buy more packs and it doesn’t work
awesome could have more options without having to pay for it tho
Corgi told me to rate. I’m plastered. Thanks corgi for having little legs and a chunky bread loaf body and cute little fox face I wanna kiss him he’s sweet
Also funny game
