If you have seen an ad for this game, then don’t waste your time downloading it. First of all, you spend more time watching ads than playing the game. This game looks fun, and at first it kind of is, but that quickly fades as you are bombarded with ads constantly. The sole purpose of this game is to generate ad revenue, not entertain anyone. Yes, you could pay to have the ads removed, but since this is an in-app purchase, this is not shareable to other family members. It certainly isn’t worth the $3.99 price-tag. Secondly, you have to complete 4 “stages” or maps to advance to the next level. If you die on any stage before you advance to the next level, you start at the beginning of that level again. The stages are always random, and there are only a small handful of different stages. You very quickly play through all of these and start recycling them. This is another reason why it is not worth the money to remove the advertising. In the end, it just gets boring very quickly seeing the same stages over and over and the constant ads. I do not recommend.

An ad after every level, ad plays constantly at the bottom of the screen whether you’re in a level or not, skins for ads, plays two more ads on your screen when you die for a total of THREE ADS SHOWING ON THE SCREEN AT A TIME, game freezes because of changing ads and causes you to die, which in turn makes you watch more ads. Game developers couldn’t possibly milk the player base harder. Do not download if you are easily frustrated by flashing ads that almost resemble virus ads from flash game websites when we were kids. Seriously, all of these ads look super fishy for some reason lol. I know they aren’t virus containing but at least step up the aesthetic. It makes people not want to click your ads. Anyway, when this game stops rubbing my nose in an ad every 5 nanoseconds, maybe i’ll think about playing it again

I was playing the game and I lost on the last round, so I was going to restart. Well little did I know that it was going to make me pay to continue!!! I had my finger on the home button on my iphone and I use touch ID for making purchases. When I clicked restart it popped up with a message telling me I could get more lives and I clicked that thinking maybe it was free by watching an ad. I still had my finger on my home button and without further consent it bought 10 extra lives for me with real money! This is absolutely ridiculous and I want a refund no matter how little the cost was, I am infuriated and I want my money back!!!! Horrible!

There’s ads like a mf’er and you spend more time watching those ads than you do playing the game. After you complete a level (which takes about a minute or so) you watch an ad. Also, the developers never update GrassCut with more rewards so once you reach about 1000 diamonds, (which will take you about a couple hours) all the different saws are bought and you’re stuck with just playing the game and collecting diamonds without receiving anymore rewards. This game is fun ONLY IF you literally have nothing else to do.
P.S. As if the game wasn’t bad enough, the developers updated GrassCut to where you can no longer collect diamonds in the sea as they fall off the platform, essentially limiting the limited diamonds you receive. 0/5 stars! 👎🏻👎🏻

As we’re all aware, part of the nuisance of ads is they pop up and draw your attention, even if you don’t have to close them. I love the game, so I paid money to have ads removed, so I could enjoy it without those distractions. Out of the blue, the game designers decided to put a new banner asking me to change my privacy settings so they could collect my data. This prompt shows up EVERY TIME I lose and start a new game. The banner is complete with an exclamation point in a yellow triangle signaling an Alert, and asks me to “help them out” by letting them collect my data. I feel strongly this goes agains the whole principle of me paying them to remove ads. So disappointed.

Voodoo, you have come up with many great games. But you always find the lazy way out, and instead of making unique maps for each level, you just take the same 20-30 maps and put them on shuffle for each level. Why would I want to keep playing if I’m just going to end up playing the same maps over and over again? Choose specific maps for each level that get progressively harder, and you earn higher ratings and my interest. The potential is there, you just didn’t follow through.
Update: the game completely stopped working after one of the updates. Just a gray screen where your blades have nowhere to go.

I’ve NEVER reviewed anything on GrassCut Store but this is so frustrating but I do like the game so I feel like I should. I do recommend the game, it is fun and I’m addicted. However, the amount of ads is incredibly ridiculous. I did buy the game because I like the game and was tired of the ads, in order to regain a life though you must watch an add. And I find it stupid that I’m on level 152 and yet there isn’t really anything different than level 1. Why are there levels if nothing changes? This is incredibly frustrating. The game would be a lot more fun and interesting if there were more themes and different layouts instead of the same 10 - or how ever few you get. Will continue to play, but the game could be a lot more than what it is. Oh, and it’s been freezing now that I’m on a high level. What’s the point of having a crap ton of levels if it’s gonna get all glitchy.
by Dnaehulsey
First off, the ads. You spend way more time watching ads hen play the game.
Secondly, lagging. The game lags a ton, which makes it to where you lose on he level you we’re playing. Which brings us to the third issue:
Levels. There are four stages to each level. You have to pass each of those stages to get to the next level. Doesn’t sound bad at all. Until you mess up on a stage and have to restart the whole level, which is VERY ANNOYING. Especially when you’re just recycling each “puzzle” per say.
This game seems really fun at the beginning, then it just gets to be a waste of your time. I was generous to give another star though cause this game would be quite fun if you fixed it 🙃

I personally love Voodoo Games they are perfectly designed and always have great potential but in most games there is one thing missing (saying most because I have not yet experienced all voodoo games) an endless mode would be perfect for these games honestly certain games such as helix jump deserve a endless mode instead of levels I myself don’t know if that feature is development but just saying if 4 1/2 stars was possible I’d give you it but this one feature could really solve a lot of problems for the game

The game is fine but the advertising is so aggressive. After every single stage completed, you’re faced with an ad for another game. The button to close the ad is so small and only pops up after about 5-10 seconds after the ad plays. And to make things worse, you have to close out of the ad twice! First a video pops up then a still picture of the ad pops up which you also have to close out of to continue playing. I understand the need to advertise in a free game, but does it have to be this aggressive? It honestly ruins the game.

Even if you don’t click the save yourself second chance button it still shows you an ad. This happens with most other Voodoo games. I feel like they can at least make an effort to show a few less ads. I know you have to show them but you don’t have to show so many ads in one game. But other then that it’s a really good app the ads just don’t make me want to play unless I want to find a new game 🙂. I hope Voodoo makes an effort to show less ads and At least ads that are other games that have good reviews fingers crossed 🤞.

Ads looked great and was satisfying. The levels are pretty repetitive. So if you get a streak where the 5 stages of the level are easy, you can make it from stage to stage simply. Annoying that you need to complete 5 in a row. As with most mobile apps, lots of ads.
Biggest complaint is that it’s sometimes slow and glitchy (inconsistent). Where the cutting requires precision, not acceptable to have a lag between when you tap and when it changes direction, especially when there’s no forgiveness for each stage.

I’ve seen a lot of bashing on all the ads they show but there are easy ways to fix that (for example: outright buy the no ads feature, turn off wi-fi and turn off cellular data for GrassCut , or just simply go into airplane mode).
Secondly, I have seen that people are complaining about how few levels there are and I get it, but you have to remember this is a free to play corporate game that is aimed at revenue, not satisfying people.
Overall, the simple yet relaxing gameplay is easy to pick up and put down every once in awhile as I have not seen many bugs and it is always ready to play, wherever you are.

I really enjoy the game and find it soothing to play. Other people mentioned a lot of ads, which is fair and accurate but I understand that app developers need to eat. I wish if you failed a part of a level it didn’t change the board entirely so I could keep working on that one. I don’t think the levels have any effect on difficulty changes, because I’ve seen the same boards a few times now even if I completed them correctly before. I will continue to play but i hope they alter the way the levels are done/let you play the ones you’ve failed until completion

I have loved playing the different levels of the game. It’s been super fun to see what the shape will end up being next.
The extremely frustrating part is some of the ads. I completely understand having ads to offset costs. That is not the frustrating part. It is frustrating to have an ad that you can not click the close button on due to the formatting of the ad. The close button is so high up that it hits the status bar where the time and battery life are and when you attempt to click it, it just launches GrassCut Store with that app available for download. The ad in particular that caused me to write this review is “Picture Cross” by AppyNation Ltd. Please review this.

Back on the original versions of this game it was a super easy way to pass time. All you did was cut grass. I made it up to level 60. The maps although they became repetitive, were still fun. Then they started updating the game and put rocks in the game that you have to hit 3 times before you can do a full circle again. And it just seems like a waste of time when you have to wait to destroy the rocks before you can get the grass that is surrounding it. Then they now started throwing in diamonds that would fall off the map before you could get them so it made it that much harder to get a new skin. I used to play this game constantly but it just isn’t as fun as it used to be. That and the ads are a bit much.

This game is so satisfying in it's simplicity. My time is pretty limited so I don't want a game that takes a lot of thought or strategy. This game is great for that. I'd like to see more levels though. Maybe some huge levels you could get lost in. Different power ups would be cool as well. There are ads after just about every level, but you can skip them. I hate games that force you to watch a 30 second ad after every level, and I delete those games pretty quickly. Even though the levels are very small and not too much variety, I can't stop playing. Looking forward to future updates.

Stages are rather quick and easy with some intricate and fun ones mixed in. Levels require completion of a sequence of stages to beat the level which adds a bit of a challenge. Easy for kids as well, teaches them timing, hand-eye coordination, and reaction time (in no way am I saying this is educational).
As for downfalls I can really only complain about THE ADS - my reason for 4 stars. They are very frequent BUT, most can be skipped after 3-5 seconds.
Overall very enjoyable game that’s fun for all - just be sure to teach the little ones how to skip the ads so you don’t end up with 10 more apps (pro dad tip).

The game is amazing, but the only thing that would make the game better would to add some skins. You could put like random coins on the grass so the saw can pick them up. The skins would do nothing but make you look better. They would be in like a saw machine and you paid like 100 coins to spin it once and you would get a random skin. Another way you could get coins is completing levels the would give you like 10 coins a level you beat. Another thing you should add is different flowers that would have different abilities. There’s always the purple one gives you a fever but you should be able to get a yellow one that makes your saw spin faster or something like that. So developers please make this change to your amazing game.😃😃😃😁.

This game is very relaxing and fun you should totally download it it’s worth it. The nice thing about it is that it relaxes you and is addicting. The bad thing about it that might discourage you is that every time you go to the next lawn it shows an ad , but not just any ad they show a car ad every single time. But you should still totally download it👍🏼🤜🏽
This app was good but we don't need to watch ads and waste ever time and one thing more first time we get alote of diamonds but in the end when there is only 100 diamond left they give you only 1 or 2 diamond why what is why I hate this app
