The iPhone version of Chitter has seen many improvements over the last year, but it also has critical bugs. What’s the point of skip and accept buttons if you can’t see the messages that the stranger is sending without first tapping accept? There’s still a bug where every so often a chat with a stranger will suddenly end after you press the button to send a message, which has persisted for months now. More recently, a bug was introduced where, occasionally, tapping a notification to open a message from an added user will cause the message to vanish completely.

I have been a paying user of Chitter for 10 months now, and by far my biggest disappointment has been the lack of a competent iPad app. There is absolutely no proper support for Slide Over or Split View, which is absolutely an abomination on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro; it is ridiculous that I have to have this app use up my entire screen to even work properly, not to mention the lack of usage of a two pane view controller like other messaging apps. Because of these major faults, I don’t have the iPad app installed on any of my iPads, and I have severe doubts about the ability to use iCloud to sync my existing chats between my iPhone and my iPad. Any update on this would be greatly appreciated, would bump this review to at least four stars (pending those other bugs being fixed), and help me to feel like I’m not being ripped from my money every month.

Most of the conversations start with “M 17” or “F 20” which just means they’re age and sex. If they don’t like your age they leave the chat. So the next stranger I began the conversation with “Before the whole sex and age thing do you like scary movies?” The conversation went well after that. During a conversation you can request the person to be your friend. However, towards the end the other person couldn’t see my texts or vice versa. I would get actual notifications on my phone but when I clicked on Chitter there was nothing. I went to the support part and sent multiple msgs but nothing. When you get Chitter , it only asks your sex and name. So there’s no real part support can contact you, except for in Chitter . I don’t want to erase and start all over because I liked this friend I met. The problem is, I can’t talk to them anymore because Chitter won’t let me :/

I downloaded this app because with being extremely busy with work and working until late at night I don’t really get to have too many social interactions, so I loved the idea of having quick conversations with random people.
My first conversation with someone on this app went very very well and it made my day so much better.
I actually haven’t had another conversation with anyone else on this app because every conversation after that one always began with “M or F?” and obviously leave as soon as I say I am male.
This of course is not the developers fault at all since there’s no way to debug human beings, but maybe the developers could add a separate chat room option for people looking for actual conversations?

So I decided to give Chitter a try.... I was looking for something simple. Most social apps these days are very deceiving these days, it is what it is. But I wanted a change of pace and this is what I found. I wasn’t surprised that you would have to pay for a gender preference option. But when I got into the chats all of the users had either their age and sex. Or something very sexually explicit, okay fine. But all of the users that had their age as a display were underage. So I decided to see what was up and get my troll on. They were all very forward and did not seemed concerned with the age of the person they were talking to. I have seen some messed up stuff on as far as the internet goes but this is the only thats actually made me scared. If I didn’t say something and heard about something happening on the news because of this. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. This is a pedophilic rats nest and should be shut down immediately. -My inner Karen

I have hopped on Chitter here and there and have decided to never use Chitter again. My first experience with Chitter was good for what it was had some random fun conversations and that was it but then I got caught in a trap. A user tried to black mail me after I stupidly gave my personal information to them. I can understand that it was my fault so I stepped away from Chitter for a while but then something traumatic happened for me on Chitter, a user trying to send me underaged photos of children. I was terrified and disgusted and decided to never come back to Chitter again. For those of you that actually read this review please be carful letting your kids get on Chitter. It is a cesspool of disgusting people. This apps creators really need to fix Chitter instead of letting it rot away like this. I don’t review often but this shocked me enough to make one warning people to STAY AWAY FROM Chitter.

I’ve been on there for a min (2 years ish) so I think it’s fair I give a review. First of all the concept of Chitter is really good. The whole anonymous thing and being able to call is nice for when you’re bored.

Now the part of Chitter that is not good is that lie obvious fact that they’re sooo many pedophiles and s3x addicts. I called out a guy who’s name was “male 4 F11+” and simply for adding my own curse words (not directed towards the guy) I got blocked out for 9 hours. Chitter needs to be more aware of these types of people because grooming toward minors does exist. I’m a victim of it. I would hate for a child to stumble on Chitter and think it’s all fun nd games because they’re bored.

Overall Chitter is pretty cool once you take the COUNTLESS of perverts and pedophiles out of it. Some people I’ve met are actually down for a conversation rather than other things.

I know people can remove friends but that’s not what’s happening. I’ll accept a friend request from a cool person and we talk for a while really hitting it off and mid conversation I’ll leave Chitter and come back and they will be gone just straight up vanished.

It’s really weird and I know they aren’t blocking me or unfriending me, because we were having a really good convo and I don’t leave Chitter for long in the middle of a conversation. It’s happened multiple times and when I find some of them again and they don’t know what happened either they basically describe what I said...still haven’t found some of them

Hi. Let’s start with the good. It supports txt, voice messages, send self destructing pics and vids, and voice calls. You need to subscribe if your looking to chat specific a specific gender. Chitter has a lot of people a month ago. Now, it seems and tho 99 percent of the females are under 18. No matter what time of day or night the ladies are sub 18 and waiting for an adult can be an eternity orExercise in futility. There seems to be countless men here so to me either there are too few adult women or the ratio to adult men/women is disappointingly in favor of men. I guess that’s a plus for women but I must warn the good men and women that there are a lot of creeps here. Especially looking to chat up underage girls. Lots women sellers trying to sell “their” pics and vids over cashapp.

Super cool app! I agree with Rimthor though because some people are on there not to chat and I’m trying to have serious conversation but getting asked if I’m horny. Lol. But that’s not my only experience, I’ve talked to some really cool people! Even had really personally convos and I think it’s cool I can connect with people from all over the world. Also, I think there should be an option where you choose at least the age of the people you talk to because that can get awkward. I know it’s complete anonymous but it also might benefit from putting gender because that’s all anyone ask. Peace and love.

I got Chitter to talk to random people and remain anonymous. I was 100% not looking for anything serious and saw that many people on here are bored not looking for much either. But I came across one person who literally changed it all. Our conversation quickly grew past this app, we met and since have had several dates. We are still long distance, but he’s soon moving to my home state. We joke and make fun of how we met on Chitter, but we are so thankful that destiny somehow match us. I’ve been wanting to leave a review for a while now 😅 Thank you this app!

I’ve only had Chitter for about 3 months. I started several nice conversations with people, however whenever I go back to talk to them the messages aren’t going through. They haven’t unfriended me, nor have they blocked me. It’s like after 2 days of talking to someone they disappear and I have to re-find them. I suggest you give them another form of communication before the chat gets lost. Almost every chat starts off as “M 35” or “M 23” meaning sex and age. The men GREATLY outweigh the women on Chitter, at least a 85/15 split. Most guys are asking for nudes or something else dirty. It’s hard to find another women on Chitter . And when you do they’re usually like 15. Plus if you only want to talk to women you have to pay for a subscription. Chitter is just overflowing with pedos. Do not recommend.

• Before using this app please read this truth to honest review. Chitter should only be for 18 year olds or older in here I will also, explain why. Chitter used to be even out to lonely people and nasty things. I’m sorry, this isn’t recommended for finding a date but, it can work but, just not recommended. This is basically, porn but, undercover and ban periods are lies, I basically did nothing inappropriate and were extremely kind.

There is just so much bad stuff that it got to be a sin to use Chitter.

I had a great time chatting with people until it randomly stopped connecting and wouldn’t let me send any messages. Tried everything. Deleted Chitter and downloaded it again and not only were all my conversations gone, it still wouldn’t connect and now I’m very unhappy. Chitter should gives you a way to save conversations outside so if something like this happens, people don’t think you’ve ghosted them. Also tried to contact this app several times and received no response. I am beyond mad right now as I really like using Chitter and it’s all ruined now. Thanks this app... 😒

Chitter is the greatest stranger app of all time. I am paying $10 a month so I can choose male, female, or both to chat. U thought it was a stupid idea to Pay but if u get tired of chatting with males than u can pay and choose females as ur search filter. Great and best app. And u. An also send an idea of what good features they should create and add. Downloaded it, it’s worth it. If u don’t believe it and thinks that this is a fake review. Than..... don’t download it. Also I’m going to use Chitter until I die, I’m serious. 😁

I like using Chitter having to talk to random strangers quick and efficient. But I’m mad that there’s not a way to find out who you previously talked to because at times I’ve accidentally deleted the wrong chat and can’t obviously get it back because it’s permanent. I mean I guess that’s what helps keep up with the “stranger” advertising but for once they didn’t start out with asking sexual questions. It was chill talking to this guy. I’ve came across Chitter and decided to give it a try without knowing anything about it and I can say that Chitter isn’t anything new it’s just like many others of sketchy small apps that contain tons of sketchy horny disgusting men and this is all what I’ve seen and experienced these guys are searching for underage people who are of course are going to be naïve and vulnerable I’ve dealt with tons of men like this so I know the signs I can easily grab evidence from all the ones I’ve met but the truth is nothing major is going to happen it’s not going to stop them like moderating isn’t going to either but it’ll protect some underage people from that damage that online grooming will cause

Chitter is pretty good besides the creeps, sickos and pedos that get on here. I hope you guys can figure a way for people to block those people or if you guys can add blocked words and it’ll censor them out.
And the coins to choose male or female can you guys make an option to watch ads in order to get coins.
One more thing when you choose to accept or skip a chat can you make the chat visible in the the background?
Overall Chitter it pretty well put together. Good job.

I’ve purchased the 1 month premium subscription (got caught in infinite load when trying to do 1 week) and after a successful transaction (reflected in my bank account) it says that “purchase can not be verified”
I like Chitter a lot and want to give you a good rating but this simply is experience breaking and pretty concerning. I’ve emailed you but you haven’t seem to have gotten it yet.

At first it was a safe haven and I was easily able to find great people to talk to. Soon Chitter got bots but I could skip. Now I’m spending 10-30 minutes skipping people. Frustrated I bought the premium. It’s okay-ish but I realized how bad the options are.

You’re forced to declare a gender. I’m non-binary… so I had to put my assigned gender from birth even though it makes me feel uncomfortable. I really wish Chitter was more open for people like myself.

Also there’s wayyyyy too many creeps on Chitter. I keep reporting accounts but I feel like there’s nothing happening at all. I seriously hope people fix Chitter.

Chitter does have some decent people. Unfortunately the decent people are few and far between. I’m a single day I’ve run across two people looking to trade pictures of underaged girls. The user base is mostly male users that want to sext. If you look hard enough you will find people worth talking to. I give Chitter three stars because I have found worthwhile conversations that make Chitter worth it and because they have added improvements to Chitter that I like such as the ability to have multiple chats at once.

I’m giving this 4/5 because it’s been good to me so far. I love found quite a few people actually worth talking to on Chitter! My only problem is the crashing! I get super into a convo with someone, and Chitter freezes and crashes. It’s very frustrating. Please fix this!

I’m a girl and every time I use Chitter, they always say, “hi. Name Age Gender” and I usually say that I am a girl but then they ask for other social medias. Or just ask if I’m horny. Which I then say my age, they either leave because I’m 15 and their 20+. Or they stay, we chat and they end up getting creepier. Now if you add an age filter, people can always lie but it be a nice thing to do. And I’ve met some girls actually, they all wanted money and to show off their bodies. That’s just sad. But just add some more filters.

I rated it 2 stars for the only 2 normal, decent people I’ve met on Chitter out of like 20 or so. I’m a 17 year old girl and there’s a lot of older men on here just looking for you to send nudes or talk dirty. It gets annoying cause I literally just want to have a normal conversation. I also hate how you can’t choose to only talk to a specific gender without paying for like a premium membership. But then again there are like 30 year old females flirting with 15 year olds. I think Chitter is just pretty weird overall and I’m probably gonna delete it.

Chitter is great...until you need it to absolutely be reliable. It was totally fine. Every once in a while it freezes and you have to restart it and it’s fine. Then one time it just stopped working completely! I could receive message but none of mine would go through. It made the other person believe I was leaving them on read. I deleted and re-downloaded several times hoping this would work and it did not. Lost all contact with someone I was having a genuine conversation with. Thanks this app.

Hi, if you like talking too only dudes on an anonymous chat app, then good news! Chitter is for you. Any indication of a female presence on Chitter had been purged so the developers can dupe you into buying the female match chat only. Well good luck with that because turns out there are no females on the female match only chat either. Don't download this unless you wanna be let down.

So I downloaded Chitter just to talk to people and maybe have some friends that I can connect with and let me tell you people mostly have asked for your age and gender and then they leave like I said hi and how are you to them (majority males) and they left. So i mean its an ok app 4/10 you’ll fine someone who will actually have a conversation with you and maybe be a friend but 10/10 they’re mostly horny so be careful peeps.

The chat monitoring system is broken I just got a 2 hour block for nothing, no offense or sexual language, in Chitter all you have to do report and the site doesn’t even check, if it did I would bet I would still be unblocked, I have even payed the 10$ premium fee. This gets old, please fix this is unfair to all of the people who use Chitter

I downloaded Chitter expecting I can just have conversations with random online but that rarely happens. Most time when I get into a chat people just ask for gender and I put male so I end up just getting skip. I rarely have a good conversation. Wish there could be more but I’m enjoying the but not as much as I thought I would.

Everything thing on Chitter is very good. There are flaws, but it’s nothing the developers couldn’t fix (like other people asking M or F, then leaving). However, there is one thing that can be improved. The picture system is rather flawed. Sometimes, pics don’t send at all

Chitter is really cool if you want to interact and chat with other people. The good thing about it is that you can’t send any photos, and you don’t have to make a account, which sort of protects your privacy (Unless you want to bring yourself out there)
