It’s a fun game, you can shuffle the player lines, you can upgrade them to the next tier, but they won’t get better on their own, you have to upgrade them. At first, the opposition will make mistakes over and over again. But in the late game, your team will be the one making mistakes. But it’s not on you, it’s the computers controlling the rest of the team. The computers never defend when needed, they stand flatfooted at the far blue line. Whenever we need to be offensive, they are hanging back at your GOAL line. The computers need to be fixed.

Penalties get called way too often on your own team. They get called for charging, and checking from behind. The checking from behind was programmed very simple, but half the time the computer just turns around right when you’re about to hit them. The charging penalties are a lot harder to program, but they appear almost every time you check in front of the other teams net trying to get on the rebound. It sometimes seems like a just take a shot, and the goalie runs out of the other teams net and immediately runs off for a delayed penalty. Other moments where charging penalties happen is when you run up and hit someone, which is charging, and when you are skating back into your zone when the other team has the puck, and you give them a good clean check. These are the problems with penalties.

I love this game, I think it has a lot of potential. 1. One thing i think could be added is a trading market. You could put players you wanted to trade on this market for other players to view. They could then make offers for that player with draft picks, contracts, cash, or other players. 2. There should be a draft where players can “scout” players to draft onto their team. The level of player you pick will be determined by your success in the previous season. There would be certain tiers you team would fall into, if you were in the middle of the standings, you would pick a middle tier player, so on and so forth. If another team was interested in the same player you were, you could trade, or bribe. 3. Games should bring in more money, at leased a thousand dollars per home game. Road games would be less, as the team wouldn't bring in money from ticket sales. This would make it easier to afford contracts, and upgrade players.

I’ve very much enjoyed playing the game. But there are a couple things that could be added or changed to improve the game.
First, I have a large amount of cash in the game, but I don’t really have anything to spend it on. The player packs should be made available for cash, as opposed to only pucks. I would spend 30,000 of my cash in the game to buy a gold pack, as opposed to spending 900 pucks.
Second, and this would be a harder feat to accomplish, but have a free agency market. In the free agency market you could buy a player that you’re interested in, like you can do in some FIFA games. It would be very cool to be able to buy a favorite player to be on your team from the free agency market.
Those are my thoughts on how the game could be improved, but overall, it’s a very enjoyable game, especially for hockey fans.

Every year for what feels like the last 10 years this developer releases the same terrible hockey game with one new gimmick- big heads, outdoor rinks, National teams, and in this year’s case a shockingly stripped-down basic franchise mode that tries and fails to mimic EA NHL’s Hockey Ultimate Team.

The game is and has always been terrible- skating still doesn’t feel like skating (there’s no stopping and starting, crossovers, cutting, etc) and players just casually float around, you could replace the ice with water and the players with nearly broken jet skis and this game would feel exactly the same. Shooting is terrible, trying to aim far side and you will always take a backhand clapper- even from the point. There are no dekes or dangles. There’s no hustle, even while “sprinting” your player looks like he’s at a casual open skate and could easily have a coffee in his hand. AI is garbage across the board and doesn’t react like a game is going on, constantly missing pucks in their own skates, one time passes sail by them as they cross check the air like an escaped asylum patient.

It’s time for everyone to say enough is enough, and give these developers one star ratings for their consistent and complete lack of effort so maybe they are inspired to make a hockey game that even slightly resembles the game of hockey.

There’s so much good to say about this game, but I’ll keep it brief: you will never feel good about a game you lose. Great games give you losses you can learn from. Not this one. Once the engine decides you’re going to lose, it’s over. You’ll get called for a 5-minute penalty after taking a breakaway shot. You’ll hit the post five times in a game you end up losing 1-0 in OT. You’ll hit the crossbar on a shot that ricochets so high in the air it lands in your own zone. Your forwards will stop crossing the blue line. Your defensemen will stand at center ice until the puck passes them. You’ll send out a perfect breakout pass to a player who will be unresponsive to controls until the puck is taken away. Your goalie will have a save percentage under 25% because every slap shot is an automatic goal. Then you’ll go to the roster after the game to find out the gold guy you just paid to upgrade is out 6 games (into the next season) and it’ll cost all of your meds to get him back before his contract is up. This is probably the best hockey game available on here, but it will make you hate hockey.

I normally don’t write reviews but because I feel like this game has huge potential I thought it to be appropriate to write one. This game has great game play. Though at times it can be buggy I truly enjoy playing this game. That is when I can play it. This game is made to attract the most revenue possible with minimal game play. This game baits the player into watching ads that do not give the player anything (most of the time) and making it extremely hard to obtain and keep players on the team and healthy while I usually wait about 5 hours a time to unlock cards that have a chance at giving me what I need to play. Players get hurt very easily and seasons end with 4-5 games making contracts very essential while extremely hard to obtain without watching ads that do not provide gifts or obtaining cards which may have what you need (if not you need to buy pucks which you do not get your money’s worth) while every game a player gets injured making health packs as essential if not more to be able to play your team. In conclusion this games gameplay is great but the game itself is boggled down by the huge need for in app purchases and long wait periods

This game is absolute garbage, it’s hard to decide where to begin. The beginning stages are ridiculously easy, but once you hit Major, the computer completely stomps you. The controls are terrible. You cannot switch players on your own, the system chooses which character you’re going to control at seemingly random times. For instance, I’m chasing a loose puck into the opponents end, and right before I get to it, I get changed to a player behind the blue line! This give the opponent time to get the puck, EVEN THOUGH THE CHARACTER I WAS PREVIOUSLY CONTROLLING IS JUST A FOOT AWAY FROM THE PUCK! Also, the computer can check you (poke or body) AND collect the puck. If you check the computer, you better hope the system has another of your players right there to scoop up the puck, ‘cause you aren’t getting it. The pass to one time was crisp in the first two stages, but again, once you hit Major, the game doesn’t recognize your shot input after the pass. There is a hesitation that was nonexistent in the earlier stages of the game, allowing the computer time to steal the puck with a poke check. Don’t waste your time on this game, or the other hockey game by this developer.

There are good and bad points to this game. Firstly, the pros. Well, there aren’t many. Mainly just the fact that you have full customization of your Franchise. And now the cons. There are a lot. First. The poorly programmed computer decides the outcome of every game. When it decides you will win, you can easily go CRAZY GO STUPID hahshdhdhdbdhsnsh. My record win was a 12-0 beating. When it decides you will lose, even the most skilled player will fall, inevitably. That brings me to the next big problem, which is the god awful shootout system. It is rigged and impossible to win. It was really poorly made and I’m not sure what the game devs were thinking. The final big problem is the stupid penalty system. Penalties are usually easy to kill with any skill, but it’s still super annoying. Checking from behind and charging happen about 20 times each every game, and it’s really bad. In conclusion, this game needs improvement desperately.

So, I started playing this game and I absolutely loved it, but I started out and the game was so easy! I would win game 10-0! It does get slightly harder when you reach the major leagues, but the ride there can get boring, the game is great overall but there are problems that need to be fixed. In Playoffs mode I think you guys should add the Seattle Kraken, as a Kraken fan I can tell that hockey game developers haven’t cared enough to add the Kraken, it would be really nice if you would add them, they are an official NHL team, you guys don’t put the logo or that many details into the uniforms, shouldn’t take long for your to add the NHL’s newest franchise.

I really like the game but I get frustrated a lot because of some of the things that happen. I think that you should be able to challenge certain plays, for offside, goalie interference, etc. I also think there should be goalie interference, I was playing a game and my goalie got pushed out of the crease by the cpu and the cpu scored. It definitely was goalie interference. Also I think the medical packs should come in a bigger amount in packs. You also should get more money for home games. There should also be more tripping penalties then checking from behind, and if there is a trip on a breakaway there should be a penalty shot.

Over all I think this is a great game, and I think any one thinking about getting it should get it. There aren’t a lot of adds, which I appreciate, and you can play it on the go.

So when you play this game start it was pretty bad people. But the game is kind of fun because you can make great shots and all that good stuff. But the AIs or like not even close to real life because they call checking from the back like who would even do that. And also the AIs I like not even real players what I mean by that is they don’t act like the real players what I mean by that is like when I pass it they always are almost always like I just let it pass by or when I clear it and I got out of the ringer when I shoot miss it goes out of the rink when I’m talking about is the puck. Like I just don’t understand why that happens and like if I were to make a game I would test run it and all that stuff so to make sure that that didn’t happen but this game is kind of funThere’s too many in game purchases that’s all I have

I CHANGE MY MIND I DONT HAVE CONTROL OVER MY PLAYERS!!!! It’s so weird when ever I want them to hit somebody it switches my player but I hold the button down and when I pass sometimes it looks like I’m passing to who I want but it passes to the worst person possible not by skill but by their position like they are crowded by the other team and it passes to them they get the puck and goal tender is just like hm nah there is no luck flying at me he glitches sometimes for some reason he goes inside the net idk if that just me but I come to our side and he’s like glitched inside the net it’s weird but at first it was a good game decent now it just gets me a little mad that it’s like I don’t have control over my players it’s like the ghost that we think is in our house is pressing buttons for me

This game could be a million times better and the developers should really work on it because there really isn’t any competition for hockey games in HockeyAllStars Store! Someone could easily come along and make something better. It’d be cool to see a deke button. Would also be nice to be able to hit pass, then hold the shoot button for a one-timer slap shot. I find that I can’t play too often because packs take so long to open. I don’t wanna keep winning games and having to discard packs so I play a lot less because of it.

There should be a pickup game mode so it’s not always championship games, maybe there you can earn training point and such, to train your players up. Also would be nice to have a shootout mode and three on three mode just to practice! Hope you guys work on this, the game is really fun!!!

The game is great and I always have a great time playing but somethings should be fixed. The players look like there going so slow that there casually skating even when your sprinting. And when you start most of the players you get are very bad. You could upgrade them but there so bad it takes a while to get them better. But this doesn’t stop you from winning the games because the beginning of the game is to easy but gets slightly harder each season's but not much. And finally there are no levels. Unlike Hockey Nations 18 there aren’t any levels or challenges.

After all I said the game is still great and am recommend it. There may be a few problems here and there that are annoying you but won’t stop you from having a great time playing

Alright I’d admit this game was fun for a while until your in major level on the last match, when u see these guys it’s just like how am I supposed to keep up. The ai is garbage, 10 percent chance of you scoring.
So basically you beat a couple of teams and it gets harder right but the last team you go against in the major level is just way to hard for the starter player, and trust me I’m really good but this team is just so fast I even upgraded my defense and forward and they still can’t keep up. So my final review a 3 out of 5, a three because it was pretty fun in the start. All I gotta say to the developer is please low the difficulty rating in the major and premier league level it’s just downright impossible unless your like god.
Also before I go I don’t even wanna think of the all-star league level.

Just another example of a game that lets you start off doing well, but then you quickly find out if your not spending real money, you will never upgrade your players enough to matter, and you certainly would never be able to upgrade your arena. Maybe if you played all the time for a year or more you might earn enough in game points to upgrade one player. Just absolute bogus. It’s sad because the game play is pretty fun, this game would be great if they got rid of the whole stupid franchise element, let you pick a team and just play arcade style. I guess there are no good free games anymore. Gaming developers, your screwing things up. Take a lesson from the mid 80s, when Casio and other companies made garbage consoles. They almost ruined video gaming forever!! Luckily some quality came along to save the day. So get rid of these stuck in the mud games please. This is why I have basically stopped playing phone games 😡😡😡😡😡😥😥😥😥

1. You can score about 75% of the time if you enter the zone on the left side then move to right then shoot

Now let me make a list of all the BAD stuff:

1. 7 games a season at most WHAT?

2. 45 overall AI can beat your team or make it close (aka they are just putting numbers on the overall)

3. The penalties are BROKEN. FIX THEM. I check someone then there’s a FiVe MiNuTe mIsCoNdUcT or a cHaRgInG pEnAtY

4. Making $100 a game and you have to spend $60,000 to convert a gold to a legend (AKA you have to save up and win 600 games) Also 3,000 for 300 contracts?! 1,000 for 3 med packs?! This game just asks for money

5. Your first game of the season is against the “worst” overall team, then every single other game is against a 65+ overall team

6. When there is my 1-4 of my players are straight ahead of the AI’s goalie he can get the pass out but when there is 0-1 AI players in front of my goalie I can’t get the pass out (which leads me to the next problem)

7. The buttons are broken. When I spam pass nothing happens

There is probably more to say about this game and download it to find out but it really isn’t realistic (I was gonna give it a one star but it can be fun so two stars)

All the good games cost money. Guess what?! Not this one! One of the best hockey games I have ever saw! Way better than some of the games you have to pay for!

You should make a Football Nations or Football All Stars or something, because there was s such good graphics, that if you make a football game, mark my words, you’ll be more popular than EA! You have great potential. But until you make a football game, I’ll just play Madden Overdrive. You have way better graphics and potential than EA, but until you make a football game, I’ll play EA.

Try a baseball game? Then all my favorite sports will be covered!
I love watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Miami Dolphins. And at nights sometimes I watch the Columbus Blue Jackets with my father. During the summer, our whole family watches the Cleveland Indians play baseball. It would be great to have a game for all these sports ( football baseball hockey) with a franchise mode. I’d say it’s the best hockey game for iPhone but the competition isn’t exactly fierce. It has potential to be a great game. There’s a few bugs here and there but some things about the game are annoying. If I earn a players pack, it should be all players. The last three players packs I’ve opened had zero players in it. The club packs never have players in them so why does the players packs usually have a couple club pack content in it, or as I said, no players at all? Also, I never score with a slap shot or wrist shot, it’s always one-timers or deking the goalie. The computer, however, scores on slap shots often. Oh, and checking from behind is way too sensitive. But overall I do like the game and play it often.

This game is great I love it. I hope they see this but they need to make it so that you can buy blueprints with the cash you get from the game not that you get a slight chance from packs that you get with golden pucks. Also the things are way to overpriced. Also you should be able to change the players numbers. Also you should make it so that you can change lines during play not just when play ends. Lastly, you should make it so that you can make 2 power play units and penalty kill units, just like in real hockey. Basically what im saying is that you guys should make it just like real hockey, I personally would enjoy it more. Please read this.

I play ice hockey in a girls and boys league (girl) and I LOVE the sport so I obviously check HockeyAllStars store a lot for some fun hockey games. I have tested, played and compared a lot of these hockey games on HockeyAllStars store and I LOVE some of them and other are well alright. I would say this is one of the alright category games. Overall it’s pretty fun but there are a few things I wish were updated. First of all, I wish that you had to be drafted to be able to be on a team me personally I think that would be awesome so that you didn’t get to pick. I wish you didn’t get to pick so that you don’t accidentally choose a lower league team then the NHL. I didn’t know that you could choose any team so being a Floridian I went with our local ECHL hockey team (Florida Everblades) thinking that maybe I would be drafted to an NHL team.
Nope that most definitely didn’t happen, another thing is that some people say they love the jokes that the announcers make but I can’t hear anything in this game. It’s not just this game in football games or other hockey games I can hear ever word loud and clear but loud and clear isn’t the case here. If I can’t hear at all and i’d love to hear a good joke i’m most likely deleting HockeyAllStars .

I love this game a lot and I used to play it all the time, but after a while I grew bored of it. I reccomend it to other people who want to play it, but only people who enjoy lots of game pauses and lags sometimes. To be honest, I like the creators trying to make the playing time realistic by adding lots of penalties, pulling the goalie, and championships. But,
it’d be a little more fun if there was less penalties and more playing time. It really slows down the game and for me, I like no lags, no pausing, and no lags. The card packs were a really creative idea and I don’t think there is anything wrong with them. Although I think that the wait is too long for card packs. In conclusion, this game is really fun and I miss the times when I got to experience the realistic hockey experience.
