Chipper: College Daily Planner Reviews

I’ve tried a few other student-centered organization apps in the past, but this one takes the cake! The Focus mode is strangely encouraging with its suggestions and supportive phrases, thus helping me be more productive. Adding classes and assignments on this app is quicker and easier than any other app I’ve used, too, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

If I had to suggest anything, I think it would be neat if one could see how long they had used the Focus mode, perhaps even for particular projects. Regardless, Chipper is overall everything I need it to be.

In short, if you’re looking for an easy-to-use app amidst your fast-paced schedule, definitely give this one a try!

Chipper is a lifesaver. It wasn’t the first I tried but it has been the best for tracking assignments. I really like that you can break an assignment into many study sessions and that it tracks your time spent working on that assignment. It’s even more satisfying to see the hours put towards each achievement. It also has a feature that breaks studying into timed sessions with periodic breaks (ie. a 5 min break after every 25 min of studying). You can choose how long to study and how long breaks will last. The caveat with this tool is that Chipper has to stay open or it loses track of how long you’ve been studying. If the developer could fix that, then Chipper would be perfect.

I’m a senior in college, and I wish I’d discovered Chipper as a freshman. The design of Chipper is inviting without being pushy, it allows you to move through your classes and tasks at your own pace. Miss a deadline? No worries. You won’t be shamed for it, it simply remains undone. This makes it easier to reschedule things and not feel guilty about being a human being who needs reprieve once in a while.

this app’s reward system is also brilliant. You’re rewarded theoretical money for completing tasks, and you don’t lose your rewards for messing up. Just a very forgiving app for a very difficult time in life. College is hard, why should scheduling make it worse?

If I’m being honest, I’m sort of an organization junkie. I like everything in my planner to be visible, simple and color-coordinated: this app does exactly that!
You are able to select specific colors for your classes, choose the type of class (online course, lecture, lab, etc), and the days of the week for your class and assignments without it ever looking crowded and messy in your schedule! If that’s not enough for you, this app also allows you to add “work” and “personal” events, separating those from your school schedule and assignments!
I was looking for an app like this for so long, and none of them ever really hit the nail on the head! Thanks this app!

I’ve tried many scheduling apps but have yet to stick to one in the past since they were all just glorified calendars. Chipper does everything! for FREE! lets you plan your schedule and studying/homework/research easily. The creators of Chipper really care about the student! I almost wish i could pay them (but please don’t start charging lol!) This is the best app I’ve ever used and I wish more people knew about it! I’ll be telling all my friends and teachers. ALSO! You can manage things more than school. They have sections for WORK and LIFE schedules. I mean COME ON! This is everything I needed. THANK YOU this app!!!!!

Chipper has helped keep me on task since I’ve been in school. For a person that needs everything to be color coded and organized, Chipper does amazing at just that! This is, by far, the best app that I have downloaded. Since downloading Chipper, I haven’t missed any assignments, projects, or life events. Being able to have what tasks need to be done laid out in front of me is a huge help. I use Chipper instead of any other calendar. It helps me want to study and it also helps me understand that I did the best that I could by being able to see the amount of time that I put into a task. Best app ever!

This is the first homework app that I’ve found that actually does what I want. No others compared to this one, or I had to buy premium to get the features I wanted.

The only thing across all apps, not just this one, is the need to be able to add online classes. All my courses are online and don’t have actual classes. I wish I could add them as that and not have to schedule an actual class time. I just scheduled it for the first day of the semester and a one time class and it’s fine, but just a suggestion for developers that would be nice eventually.

I love this app more than any other app I’ve ever had on my phone. For real. Chipper is the only reason I’m getting through college. I’ve introduced it to my friends- both college and high school students- and they constantly tell me that Chipper has significantly reduced their stress about school. Beyond that, the customer service is INSANELY helpful! I’ve sent emails with questions about functions that would be useful, and they’ve been added within a week (and they emailed me when the update was available!). I cannot recommend Chipper enough!

I have been looking for an app like this since I first started college, but all those other standard calendar apps don’t understand that college students are broke and can’t pay for subscriptions. I highly recommend Chipper because you can add as many courses and assignments as you like, have them repeat on certain days, and I admire how it tells you how much your time is worth going to class and working hard on assignments. I’m only giving it 4 stars since I just started with it and I’m still learning things, like how to change assignments and labeling everything. Thank you so much for Chipper!

Chipper is probably going to save all my grades this semester (I’m in nursing school) and I’m officially in love with it. It’s COMPLETELY FREE, has NO ADS and is organized in a way that’s simple and appealing to look at. This is the first time I’ve ever stuck to a planner of any sort, and I have no idea how I lived without Chipper before.
I wasn’t paid for this review (heck, I don’t even normally do reviews), but I’m a college student who understands the struggle and wants to help save other college students’ grades. 11/10 recommend Chipper.

I absolutely love Chipper! I am a lover of check lists! Chipper keeps me organized and loving life. I love how you can customize your courses and color coordinate them. Chipper has been more than helpful.
The only thing I would recommend fixing about Chipper is sometimes if you have to many courses or things going on during one day you aren’t able to see them all on your calendar. If you tap on the day you can scroll through them, but I would enjoy seeing all of the colorful dots on the calendar just so I can be even more organized.
Overall, I ADORE Chipper! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It’s keeps me super organized. I love how I can separate my academic calendar from my personal calendar. It’s impossible to miss deadlines when this app is notifying you of an assignment coming up. I do wish though that there were a web app because it’s a bit inefficient having to check my phone when I’m getting work done on my laptop. I also would really love if there was a dark mode, but that isn’t most important to me; staying organized is. Other than that Chipper is amazing!

Loving how easy it to add EVERYTHING and see it clearly in one spot. The focus feature is amazing and even happier that it’s free!

Some suggestions:
- a GPA tracker: currently I have to use another app if I want to see my progress in “real time” and get a prediction on my GPA so it could be great if I could eliminate another app from my phone all together
- Apple Watch: an app on the watch that especially with the focus feature (counting down how much time I have left) and notifications (reminding me to check off items on my lists)

This can help in sooo many ways. If you fall behind in school work this helps you plan it out! You can finally feel relaxed and not stressed. You can study for tests and quizzes and break down some time using sub tasks. You also get ‘money’ (virtual not real) for every time you get stuff. It definitely boosts your studiousness and can help with everyday stuff such as dinner plans etc. I hope you get Chipper, and you’ll love it very much!

I downloaded Chipper thinking it was just another planner/task tracker type app & it sure is, but I think they stepped up the game! I love how everything is organized and that when you finish tasks or study Chipper gives you “earnings” which is basically fake money for doing your work. Even though I wish it could be real money, it still motivates me to get homework done just to see that number go up.
