DS Manager Pro Reviews

This is a very well done app. Gives a nice glance of the system, and a fairly high level overview. The docker support is an interesting addition.

A few things could be improved. Mainly:
1) At the top (top left of the screen), where it shows the model name, also show the host name of the machine too. For example “MACHINEA (DS...)”. If one’s managing multiple synology boxes, this is a much easier way to see what one we’re in.

2) Some extra modules would be nice. Namely:
2a) Some very simple VM support. List, start, stop, status - doesn’t need to have much, but a way to manage it like the docker instances would be nice.

Still rating this as 5/5 because it’s an amazing app. Very quick, does the job incredibly well.

Bought this in hopes of controlling my Docker containers better. Works well. I can stop, start, restart containers and so much more. I’m happy with the over all design and quality of DSManagerPro. I wish there were more updates and features but it appears the developers forgot about DSManagerPro . However it works well.

I have been using this for a week or so with my DS 220 . It provides rapid and consistent information about my Synology NAS without the delay of the web browser. If you need a monitoring tool for your DiskStation, I would recommend this one.

Downloaded DSManagerPro around 6 months ago. It keeps getting better with every update. Quick and easy way to check in your server. A must have if you’re running a Synology NAS.

So many possibilities with a developer that not only listens to, but implements user requests.

I purchased and downloaded because time isn’t free. Fair price for a useful tool.

Two days later it crashed and began giving me connection issues. One quick email to the developer and a quick response - all is well and working perfectly.

I requested some features that seemed to be missing, but again... the developer responded quickly with simple instruction to access the feature that wasn’t apparent.

Great and simple product, with amazing customer service.

DSManagerPro is great at giving you quick stats on your NAS. Unfortunately I purchased to unlock all features without thoroughly checking out the descriptions and screenshots. I was hoping to see individual processes, network usage, as well as a comprehensive disk manager. The screenshots are literally slightly expanded versions of the home sections. What you see is what you get.

The developer is very responsive, quick to respond and is constantly improving DSManagerPro . Well worth investing for the full upgrade.

Hope to see WOL in the future convenience.

Nice app just sad to see it go the subscription route. Had no problem paying the fee to unlock all modules. Don’t need yet another subscription fee. Every app on the store wants a sub. Pretty soon we will need to work just to pay all our app subscription fees.

Great app to monitor my NAS and the developers are quick to help fix any issues that may come up! Highly recommend!

some bugs here and there prevent me from giving it 4-5 stars -- mainly the fact that 2 factor authentication doesnst appear to work properly on macOS, iPadOS or iOS apps.

I have to re-enter auth codes every time I launch the apps.

Never could get the widgets for Home Screen to show anything , they keep saying “Please select a server” and i’m signed in a my server is selected .

I wish there were a few more modules but the modules it does have work great.

I received support within hours. My error, app works great.

New update REMOVED features. Now the only way to get Wake On LAN is to pay monthly/yearly in a subscription model!!
Really scummy to remove a basic feature that was there all along. I refuse to support this.

The idea that anything in DSManagerPro would justify a $3-monthly subscription, -after- paying to unlock all the modules, is absurd.

Doesn’t connect using QuickConnect. Continue to say login failed. Other apps connect fine.

I loaded DS Manager Pro thinking it was a Synology NAS Dashboard. Oh it does a great job of that. If you want status on just about anything, memory, CPU, it’s top shelf. Then I noticed “Restart” and “Shutdown” buttons. Now that’s handy. I started to investigate further and found. There’s a list of installed Packages and a color code if they are running or not. Well Guess What? You can Start or Stop a Package from right there in DS Manager Pro! “How Cool is That?” Want to flip to the NAS desktop? Not a problem, there is a click for that too. DS Manager Pro has become much much more than a status dashboard for me. It’s a valuable tool and it’s never had a single hiccup.
