As a bassist, the premise is great. I should have played with the free version first, but that’s on me. A,D,G tune just fine, but on a 4 string Yamaha with absolutely nothing special about it, the app tunes the E WAY out of tune. I tried changing settings and simply trying it over and over again. I just couldn’t get it to tune my E, and I wasn’t about to test it with my 5 string. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pitch is accurate

both the drone and tuner functions show accurate pitch. I like the way the tuner shows the pitch with the background changing colors. The only drawback is that the orientation is fixed so when I rotate the iPhone the display is upside down

Tried several other tuners, all of which were overfeatured or sururpsingly inaccurate, as much as nearly a half-pitch. BT1 is spot on, simple, and uses visual feedback so you can see if a string is tuned from across the room. Does one job and does it very well.
