App quits after about two months of use. User interface requires either input of location (address), or use current location, etc. No matter what selection user makes, app abruptly crashes. User attempted deletion of app and reload from App Store, but even that results in same experience.

Downloaded this today and it was really easy to install. The first time it came up and seemed like it was going to be really easy.
Then, we had to try to use it again and when I opened it it wanted the authorization email and model number. Okay, already put it in once but let’s do it a again.
No. It won’t actually let you click “ok” and move on to the next step 😡 so annoyed

So much for trying to find channels near me. I downloaded RCASignalFinder that was on the box of my RCA antenna. And I kept trying to open it. I was able to enter my address. RCASignalFinder left that screen and then it kept crashing. I even tried deleting RCASignalFinder and installing it again. Same thing kept happening to me.

Well RCASignalFinder worked once, but since then it crashes when I pick current location, the last saved location or entering in my home address.
Completely unusable now, which is sad because I liked the compass feature.

The instructions that came with my antenna said to start by downloading and using RCASignalFinder. After downloading, I opened it and clicked “Use my location”. That led to RCASignalFinder saying it was unable to determine location. Fine, so I entered my address manually instead. Clicked to enter and RCASignalFinder crashed. Restarted, crashed immediately. Killed and tried one more time, crash. Deleted.
Fortunately you don’t really need RCASignalFinder to set up the antenna; I jus put mine high and near a window and it’s fine.

I tried out this finder first and it wasn’t showing stations I knew were available so tried another and about 12 more stations appear on the other app. Otherwise it works it just don’t have any clue about all stations available in my area. That defeats the purpose of using RCASignalFinder. Not recommended

App shuts down after typing in your address and revealing your location. The whole point of RCASignalFinder is to help locate towers for reception. You can’t even get past the initial screen asking about your address. It’s a total scam. Save yourself the hassle and immediately return the product before spending an hour trying to untangle cords in the box and read instructions. Can’t believe Apple supports or offers such a dysfunctional app.

When I first bought the antenna and downloaded RCASignalFinder it worked great. After my antenna got moved, I tried to use RCASignalFinder again to realign. However, now it crashes every time I put in my address. Tried manually and using current location, deleted and reinstalled app, but nothing works. Now I can’t get all the channels I had to begin with since I can’t get the antenna lined up perfectly again. So disappointed!!

Downloaded RCASignalFinder and decided to delete after a few minutes of trying to use. As title says, it’ll force quit and mention an error trying to get location while typing in address or using current location. I rebooted my phone (iPhone 11 Pro with software update) but I still had the same issue.
by GrapsterJunior
I tried entering my current location in the application. I have an iPhone SE. RCASignalFinder quit, so I tried again. Again, RCASignalFinder failed. Is this going to get fixed soon ?

First, RCASignalFinder performed as advertised... to an extent. Here are the drawbacks I found:
-It left out some stations I know are out there
-The call letters and not the channel are listed. If you want to know the channel, you’ll need to go to the station’s website.
The relative signal strength is listed in decibels (db). Unfortunately, RCASignalFinder doesn’t explain the the more negative a signal is, the weaker it is. (A -20db signal is weaker than a -10db signal. Also, the measurements are logarithmic.... -20db is NOT half as strong as -10db.)
-You are asked to enter a complete address, which could be sold to junk mailers. I put in an address of a nearby government building.
On the positive side, RCASignalFinder did not ask for any kind of model number to be entered.
If RCASignalFinder Dev would update the database and include channel numbers, and get rid of the address requirement, this would be really good app.

I love RCASignalFinder! Its helpful. One problem. I just opened RCASignalFinder and uses my current location. It was loading. So I waited and nothing happened. It was stuck. I am pretty sure this is a glitch or bug. Who knows haha.

It worked for me, shows stations and lets you rotate your phone and lets you know when you are lined up.
One thing that I don’t like is I have 60 channels where I live and RCASignalFinder doesn’t tell you which station the channels are coming from. Instead it simply says which location each major station is at ABC, NBC etc.

I don’t understand the low rating on RCASignalFinder. It worked perfectly for me, and was simple to use. I’m now enjoying excellent antenna reception. Now if you don’t get good reception, it’s because of the limitations of your geography, and not RCASignalFinder .

RCASignalFinder is for determining the cardinal direction of towers. It does that. Find your antenna, point it in the tower direction, scan, and blam! Now you have like 3 more channels. What were you expecting? To move your house?

Definitely was better than me trying to run all over the room trying to find a good spot. Worked great. You must line the red line up with the green for the right one.

Just installed app and it works just fine. At first I thought it did’t work very well until I realized I was holding my phone diagonally and the instructions say the phone must be held vertically.

RCASignalFinder fulfills it’s purpose as advertised. You type in your address and select what stations your interested in and using your phone as a direction finder, it will help you point the antenna in the right direction. It’s simple and useful. I don’t understand all the negative reviews. For those who do tons of research then RCASignalFinder isn’t needed, but for most people who don’t even know where to look For all the right info, then RCASignalFinder gets the job done without much fuss. I appreciate that RCA made RCASignalFinder and I think it works great.

I was having issues with my TV signal(freezing and pixelation). When I did a scan I had 114 Channels but only 4 or 4 would work okay. I thought I positioned the antenna correctly. I did some research which said to double check the direction. I downloaded RCASignalFinder and it showed that I was pointed in the wrong direction, after correcting this, my channel scan now shows 44 Channels and all work without any pixelation or freezing.

Would be nice if it included channel numbers, but that is easy enough to look up from the call signs which are provided.

RCASignalFinder worked the first time I bought an antenna- I could pan my phone and watch for the line change and show me where the best signal was. I returned the first antenna and then later bought a new one. I downloaded RCASignalFinder again but this time it does nothing. The green line is fixated no matter where I turn my phone.

After entering in all my info, RCASignalFinder worked for a few minutes then locked me out and asked for all my info again. Low Quality.

RCASignalFinder is garbage same issues as others where can’t get past the loading locations and the antenna itself is no better, save yourself from losing money and having that disgusted taste in your mouth for fooling yourself into buying this in the first place.

App won’t work. It’s been “loading locations” for three hours. Tried restarting RCASignalFinder , uninstalling it and reinstalling it, checking location services settings. This feature was the only reason I bought the RCA product- I’ll be returning it.
by Conine2000
RCASignalFinder is garbage. Asks for you to type in a model number - good luck finding one by the way - when a drop down menu would be 10x easier. Not that it matters, you can’t click the OK button so you’ll never get past screen one. Has anyone looked at RCASignalFinder at all since the update?

This ap is not very helpful. I thought it would be useful in showing the best place to place your antenna. The reception and channels I get with the RCA HD antenna is pretty good but this ap I’m removing from my phone as it’s not really helpful.
by Raniyah💙
You actually don’t need to download RCASignalFinder just screw it in to your tv. But make sure the tv is off. I did it for my grandma.
by Iphone4-Ham
Works great on my X. No freezing or any of the other issues people seem to have. User error? Old phones?
by ML350 Guy
App really couldn’t be easier to use. Works great!
by Birddoctor68
Worked perfect for me in locating stations and pointing the antenna the correct way.
Just purchased this RCA signal finder. This product is CRAP!!! They make you do all this Garbage provisioning and then it still DOES NOT WORK. I WASTED MY MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY!!!
Absolute crap!
After downloading app from Apple App Store, when entering address and hitting OK the app just completely closes and does not work at all! It takes me back to square one to put in address again and it continuously does the same thing closes! I have tried deleting app and re-downloading it and it still does the exact same thing.
