Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I never leave reviews for games but I absolutely have to write one for this game. I’m an artist and I’ve been creating art since I could hold a crayon. For years I’ve been trying to find a game that is art based and let’s me test out different aspects of art in a fun way, but when it comes to games like that, I feel like none of them keep my attention for long. However, this game, is an absolute masterpiece!
It’s the first game where I’ve felt like there’s an appreciation for art while still teaching you an important aspect of art in an incredibly fun way! I don’t know if this was what that the developers set out to do, but regardless, its ingenuous.
I don’t think I can say thank you enough for such an absolutely gorgeous game that allows me to practice a skill I use almost every day. It’s so fun to test my ability in differentiating hues and connecting them to others. It’s so fun and it’s honestly addicting!
You guys are the best!

Fun but not challenging and repetitive

I downloaded this a month or two ago after playing I love hue on and off for years. I was expecting it to get gradually harder as you go but I’m 185 hearts in and each different section (a set with 16 levels) it’s pretty repetitive with not much change in difficulty as I was hoping. I compared three sections from the same group (there’s 3 sections in a group until you finish them and you unlock one more section until moving on to the next group) and they are the same format, very similar colors (in placement and vibrancy), and literally the patterns repeat the same way in each one (so you get 16 levels, and when you move to the next section the next 16 levels are in the same pattern). There is SOME difference in color occasionally but not really. I expected them to get harder with maybe less noticeable of a color gradient and different colors as you go and different shapes. I usually get the lowest amount of moves, and if I don’t it’s still always wayyy under the average. This is great for beginners or people who don’t play often, but I was hoping for something more challenging as you move up.

🤩BEST GAME🤩

I thought this would be another one of “Those Games”. You know the ones. The ones where it looks amazing until you play it and there’s an ad every three seconds? Yeah I was expecting that for this game. But I’ve been playing for a while, and I haven’t got any ads. And this game is FREEEEEEEEE. So I was expecting tons of ads. Good thing there’s none. The first two or three levels are too easy, but then they get more and more challenging (some people don’t like brain challenges, but I love them). This game is so addicting, relaxing, and helps you a bit to match colors to each other (which for digital artists and animators is a good skill to learn). I always find flaws to all games, but with examination to my limits on this game, I find no flaws. I could play this game for days straight, and I have no idea why anyone would give this anything but a 5 star. Maybe they don’t like being challenged? But I think this game couldn’t be more perfect.

Love this game, are there more levels ?

Love this game. It’s so soothing and addicting. I also love seeing how colors change based on colors around them; I wish I had something like this when taking color theory in school!

Sometimes I just keep moving pieces around to experience this phenomena which makes me want to ask the devs - is there a possibility in a future update to have the option to NOT see how many moves you did? I know it doesn’t matter but sometimes I just want to relax and I am compelled to check my score and it drives me crazy 😂 could we have a “free play” mode where even if we have it solved, the level doesn’t end so we can explore ?

Also, how many unique levels are there ? I am around Level 90, but even before that I felt like the levels were repeats. Or am I crazy? I still think I’ll buy ILoveHueToo just to support you guys, the game is so beautiful and easy to use. Thank you!

i changed my mind

update: changing my review. it is now a three star rating, because they added so many ads and data tracking. it’s no longer feeling as artistic now that there’s ads that you cannot swipe out of. i’m probably going to delete it now.

old review: This game is even more beautiful and relaxing than the first. Only downside is that sometimes it feels like you have played a level before, but that’s not the case. The levels are beautiful and captivating and are puzzling too. It is guilt free gaming, and I have spent days playing. Thankfully, there are no ads (and when there are ads you can just swipe down to get rid of them) and the game has no disruptions. It is truly a peaceful game. now for my one question that i keep wanting to know: what are those symbols that use strokes of the letters that are in each word called? they mark each section of the game and have profound words. i cannot remember for the life of me what those symbols are called. overall a wonderful game! please get back to me!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Magnificently Magical

I just got this game because I played your first game and LOVED it! The geometric shapes that bend your mind are so satisfying to piece together, and I enjoy the illusions that you worked with to make the game! Also another thing I love is the pieces of story that come when you get to a new group of levels, though I wish you could look back and reread them again instead of just seeing them once. The music is so calming and adds to the feel of the game. I find it so fun to try to get the least moves possible, and the positive, self-love messages that you get when you complete a level just makes you want to keep going and beat all the levels! I definitely recommend this to puzzle-loving people who like a challenge, or artists (like me!) who want to get their color theory and sorts stronger.

P.S.
With the quarantine stuff going on this is great to play all day and forget everything else🥰

I finished it! I finally finished it!!!

Wow. I have had this game for a while now from phone to phone I’d play it when I had no internet or poor service. It brought comfort for so long. Yesterday I finally finished it. I finally finished the entire thing. 1,313 levels of relaxation. I LOVED IT. I truly feel a bit of sadness having it done and no more new levels. I downloaded the first version since I’ve never finished that one all the way through, but with it you need prisms to play. This game needs no prisms. You can play as long as you want, as many levels in a day. Scary movie marathon? No problem, distract yourself in the worst parts with beautiful color scapes. Hard day, high anxiety? Vedge out for a bit with puzzles just hard enough to keep you interested. Some levels took days. Others took minutes. I really can’t say how much I love this game.

I love this game! But..

I love hue too added a variety of tiles of all shapes and sizes, which makes playing the game feel much more versatile. I also love the feature where it shows “lowest moves possible”! It makes me motivated to go back and play a level until I have that icon unlocked. All of the levels I have completed i have made sure I got the lowest moves possible.

My one issue that my progress has completely restarted twice. My completely restarted, I mean from the very first level like a data wipe. Both of the times this has happened it was while I swiped out of the application in the middle of a level. Once I clicked back on to ILoveHueToo , all of my progress was gone not just on that level, but on the entire game. This makes wanting to play the game feel very disheartening. I played back up to where I was once before the first time my data reset, just for it to be reset again.

Very fun game, but that bug is so frustrating it makes me not want to play again.

Relaxing and Beautiful, but has Ad Glitches

I love this game for its soothing music, simple UI, and lovely appearance. The levels gradually and fairly increase in difficulty, and although there are ads they only appear after finishing a couple levels and are not intrusive because you can usually close them out after a few seconds. However, the reason my review is four stars instead of five is that there are a couple ads that I can’t exit or interact with at all to make them disappear after a level is over, requiring me to close ILoveHueToo completely and then open it again. This makes it so ILoveHueToo doesn’t register that I finished the level that triggered the ad in the first place and makes me redo the level. Once you start getting to harder levels it is very irritating to have to start them over. If those ads did not reset my progress on a level, I’d give ILoveHueToo five stars.

My Favorite iPhone Game

I’ve never loved a phone game more than this. It’s the perfect balance of intellectual stimulation, satisfying visuals, and relaxation. I definitely recommend it if you’re someone who wants something to do on your phone when you’re taking a break from work or needing something to distract yourself (but still be aware of your surroundings) without using social media. This game has almost become a grounding tool for my anxiety — it’s calming atmosphere and smooth animations combined with its clever yet simple puzzle design is perfect for getting my mind off things without completely disconnecting from the world. Thank you to whoever made ILoveHueToo, I’m really dreading running out of puzzles to do. Also thanks for telling me when I beat world averages or do things in the least amount of moves, the positive messages make me very happy :)

Great Game for Everyone

This is an amazing game that helps your brain and doesn’t shake you down for money like other games! I haven’t even found an option to pay money once and you can’t pay to win. I also have a nasty dad and it is making me do hard challenges, one of which I just completed where there were 90 seconds on a timer and it stressed me out but I started to get used to it and I think it will help me if I do these. I think this is great for everyone if it is for me when I play a bunch of different video games that are completely different than this and if I find this good, likely almost everyone will! This is only my second day and I believe it will benefit me. This is also a well made game so good job to the developers, and you should definitely play this if you haven’t!

absolutely love it.

I found the first I Love Hue what feels like a million years ago, iphone 4 times. Loved it but never finished it and ended up forgetting it was on my phone. When I found I Love Hue Too a few months ago I was so excited to see what the creators had come up with. It's definitely more difficult than the first but I love it so much more. They just updated ILoveHueToo 2 weeks ago and I'm on the last level, if that tells you anything. I was going through and re-doing all of them from the start before the update. I don't get annoyed doing the same ones over because I don't remember them, there's so many levels! My sister and I have hooked so many people on this game. Looking forward to new updates!

Peaceful

As someone that struggles with anxiety, ILoveHueToo has been a way of relaxation for me. I use it to ground myself. Play some calming music and just sort the colors. I also love how you can turn off the rating system if needed, so you don’t feel like it’s a competition or disappointed if you go over the move count. I also like the positive quotes that are displayed after each level.
I instantly used the free version. There are not too many ads. It allows peaceful gameplay and there was typical one ad after every one/two levels completed. They were short and simple. I purchased the ad-free version to support the developers, though, and I definitely feel that it was worth it!

Cool symbols

Hi, I love this game. But I have a question that has been nagging me. What are all those cool symbols in the circles that designate the levels? Like it’s this cool symbol and then you press on it and there are 16 puzzles to do. Those symbols are so cool but I did a google image search of them and couldn’t find anything like them. The symbols look familiar but I can’t place them. Did the developers create these symbols. Did they find them somewhere? If so, where? I’d really love to get more information about this because they are really cool. I like that in the game the symbols stand for ideas. I’be even considered getting a few of them as tattoos someday. But, if they are an original creation I don’t want to overstep. Please, please answer this question.

Best way to survive the pandemic winter

I’ve played hundreds of games on the iPhone and this is hands down one of my top three favorites of all time. It’s mesmerizing and engaging. It’s easy enough to never get frustrating and challenging enough to never be boring. I’ve completed 327 puzzles and am already planning to do them all over once I hit 450. It does get a bit repetitive as so far there are about 8-10 different puzzles repeated with different spectrums and hues. I’d love to see some different shapes but perhaps we’ll see them in a third installment? I’m definitely hoping for a hue trilogy! Best relaxing puzzle game out there by far. Even if you’re color blind you won’t regret this purchase.

What happened?

I’ve been hooked on this game since I downloaded it last week. I progressed quickly, completing stages with few mistakes. Made it to the Divination phase (tried once), but I choose to play the “The Dream” instead. I’m a senior and don’t play many games, but I do play “I Love Hue” and enjoy it. Honestly, I prefer ILoveHueToo because of the shapes and hues that blend so beautifully. Now for the kicker. I was in the midst of a puzzle and the screen locked - nothing moved! I exited, choosing to save game and return. Long story short, after multiple tries with no success, I decided to delete app and download it again. This worked with other apps with no loss of data. Not this time, so I am back to square one. The first puzzles are too easy and I wish I could go back to where I left off. Suggestions?

So relaxing

I find myself playing this game at night to help me relax and go to sleep. I enjoy solving the different puzzles, and I always look forward to the next one. The colors are always so beautiful, and the gameplay is perfectly smooth.
Although I am a little disappointed how in further “levels” the designs are copied, but the colors are changed for the three sections. I enjoy unlocking the fourth section to challenge myself, but I find it a little boring to essentially repeat the same levels several times over. I also would enjoy more challenging puzzles.
Overall though, thank you for this game. It has been a wonderful experience.

The words

I absolutely love ILoveHueToo and I played I love hue years ago then started this. The new developments are beautiful but I wish there were more writing ex. It would say something like “In my dreams…” etc. I love that it’s mysterious and beautifully written I love poetry/literature and there’s something oddly satisfying by reading the certain stuff when you go to the next tier. I ask that can we include more of that ?? Or at least when I go back to a certain tier I can click back to see what was written when I first opened it. Please please please. It’s like a little story it’s ambiguous and lovely. Thank you for making ILoveHueToo regardless. Keep up the amazing work x

Very Relaxing, some ads

This game is super fun and relaxing. The game’s goal is simple: Unscramble the colored shapes to rearrange the original color pattern. But it’s so much more than that. There are hundreds of levels with unique shapes and patterns so you could play this game for a very very long time. The music is ethereal and relaxing and the visuals are ABSOLUTELY stunning. The patterns and colors of each level provide a challenging but very rewarding puzzle game. The only reason I’m not rating this great game 5 stars is because there are a few ads here and there, all of them in between levels so not much to worry about.

TLDR; great and relaxing puzzle game with challenging but rewarding levels, great music, and great visuals, but there are some ads.

Overall 9/10, + it’s free!!! 😄

BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED

Ok, so I have anxiety. I found this game because I live to be organized. Mere words cannot describe my emotions for this game. If there was an option for above 5 stars, I would go as far as possible!

I remember when I first got this game that I just got home from school and decided to play this game. OMG AN HOUR WENT BY BY TIME I REALIZED I NEEDED TO DO MY HOMEWORK!!!

The game is super simple, yet so satisfying. You just switch colors around to complete the pattern thing. The patterns are so beautiful and what I’ve noticed is that when you move some colors to different spots, they kind of look like a whole new color! It’s super cool and is super fun to play in my free time. I really recommend ILoveHueToo!

One of my favorite games of all time.

Not usually a mobile game player, and yet this is top of my list of all games. The gameplay & design is great obviously but what sets it apart from other mobile games is 1) the simplicity, 2) the lack of microtransactions. Im a person who is happy to pay for a game but I do not like having to do so in perpetuity via premium currency etc. This was my main issue with the first game — the fact that you had to buy plays (tho you could also play off the daily free ones). The sequel is perfect because there are no such transactions. I am more than happy to support the developer by removing ads and I did. I love this game and thank you so much Zut for listening to feedback and making such a great product within a sea of constant ads/microtransactions. I hope they will create more products because I genuinely want to support this company! 💓

The Best Game

I can’t say enough great things about ILoveHueToo!! I used to play another game (gradient sort, I think) and quit because their way of making game harder was making pieces so small you couldn’t grab them! So when I found this one I was thinking it would be the same. I WAS SO WRONG!! The way ILoveHueToo is designed it’s immediately a calming experience. No ads constantly popping up every time you pass a level, no pop ups begging for reviews(had to go to App Store to leave this one) and the ads they do have you can close right away. The way they made this apps degree of difficulty increase is spot on, not just making it impossible to grab the piece like others, it’s freaking awesome!! Did I mention how calming it is?!!! I’d give 20 stars if I could! Keep up the great work, you all are awesome great superb incredible minded humans that I wish designed all my apps!!!

The best possible puzzle game

This may just be the longest-lasting game on my phone! I love everything about it. I love the colors, I love the music, I love how simple it is. The levels are a bit repetitive, but for me that's part of the charm. It's my ultimate relaxer game.
One small detail I like about it is, if you're in the middle of a level and you force-close out of the game, next time you open it'll open right back into where you were in that level, which makes it a terrific waiting-in-line game because it makes it so easy to get right back into the game.
It's also not at all addictive; it's easy to turn off when it's time for bed. I love that you can choose whether to show how your score compares to other players' or not show it.
I'll never delete this as long as I have an iphone!

Almost perfect.

I really, really enjoy this game. I find it very soothing and aesthetically satisfying. I play it every day while I listen to podcasts or audio books—any time that I can’t knit.

I just have two suggestions that would make it better. The first is that I would like bigger, more complicated puzzles with more pieces. It’s deeply rewarding when a puzzle takes a really long time to solve, and most of them are solved too quickly.

The second suggestion is, instead of having the puzzle immediately indicate when it is solved, let the player arrange the pieces until they think it is correct, and then click somewhere to check. That would allow us to gaze admiringly at the finished puzzle for as long as we like. Right now it’s sort of annoying how, as soon as the puzzle is solved, it disappears.

A few bugs, but barely affects experience

I love this game with all of my being and it’s amazing and so relaxing and a break from the online world that makes my brain feel gross, but I don’t know how to report the few bugs that I have come across and I thought it would be helpful to make sure the people who make ILoveHueToo know about them so I’ve written this review for that

Whenever a new dream is revealed instead of being centered it’s in the far right corner, and occasionally when selecting a level (after choosing the catagory thing, justice/creativity/etc.) there’s a black line with a gradient off centered in the lower left corner? I just thought you’d want to be aware of these couple of mostly cosmetic little bugs okay thank you bye

best game.

i never EVER write reviews, however, this game needs one.
as somebody who just aimlessly does stuff on their phone, this silly little color game is so fun and just a good way to destress. i’ve had this game on my phone for over a year and i finished all the levels pretty quickly. i even went back and replayed levels because there weren’t any new ones and i just wanted to play more. when the new levels came out, i was SO excited ! i have completely finished the game and i’ve restarted it all over again. the ending is so cute and nice to look at, i really wish the ending added one more little thing for you to do, but it was still a beautiful ending. the messages in this game are so meaningful if you actually take a look at them.

the only bad thing is the ads! they aren’t incredibly irritating and when you play enough, you know after a couple levels there’s going to be an ad so it’s not too frustrating. the ads doesn’t take away from the game, and you can quickly x out of them almost immediately.

by far one of my favorite little games on my phone, please add more levels!

Great game to chill out to - bug experience.

Love the game. Nice relaxing title to unwind with, but I want to point out a potentially problematic bug. May be unrelated to ILoveHueToo or be an ios issue, but the bug occurred while playing the game.

Using Ipad, Gen 3 version 16.6 my ipad froze upon accidentally opening the search function while playing. The search function became stuck on screen and would not close. Swiping up to leave application or bring up passcode screen did not function. Bug persisted after turning screen off and on. Attempts to tap on results in search function as well as attempts to power down device led to no response. Device remained locked from all functions which would open applications or unlock, or shut down the device until the battery died. Again, it likely has as much to do with a bug in ios, but I figured I would note it anyway. Lovely game, still highly recommend it.

Absolutely Mesmerizing.

I adore this so much and am so glad I got it in the first place. Not only is the experience of the game itself calming and therapeutic for me, but even the music [which you hear only if your ringer is on] is so calm and beautiful. As an artist, this game makes me feel so happy. It’s especially useful for artists because when you complete a level there’s a little camera thing at the top that you can click to see the color palette that you just puzzled together and screenshot it if you’d like. I can use these palettes for my art and the colors are beautiful as well as complementary to each other. This feels relaxing to play after a long day and a wonderful part is that I haven’t seen any ads as of yet, and I’ve been through 3-5 levels by now. Thank you so much for this absolute masterpiece, it exceeded my expectations wonderfully and I’m so glad it exists.

it’s alright

i used to enjoy this a lot more when i picked it up after a long break recently, but eventually you see that the same 8 or so (less, maybe) puzzles repeat for the next 48 puzzles, with slightly different color schemes, in a section of 3 stages, 16 puzzles per stage. to clarify, all the puzzles in the same section follow the same pattern. when you unlock the next section, it’s thankfully DIFFERENT puzzles but the pattern repeats: the same 8 or so puzzles for the next 48 puzzles, 16 puzzles per stage until you complete the entire section.

it gets immensely boring, and felt like an extremely low-effort way to add content to this game. don’t get me wrong, this game is relaxing and well executed… it’s just that given enough time, it becomes tedious and disheartening to do the same puzzle five times in a row, even if you’re looking to relax.

i’m still half-heartedly playing the game, so it gets 4 stars. it might drop down to 3 soon, however.
