App Icon Maker - Change Icon Reviews

People who keep complaining on how to use AppIconMaker to add the icon to their phone, let me say something,

Firstly AppIconMaker is only used to make images of an icon, thus you need to use a different icon app of some sort to use it for an app that you already have, there are many apps like that.

If that doesn't help you, we all have another resource, it's called the INTERNET, and you can look up how to use a saved image(what AppIconMaker gives you), and find out how to put onto an app, because I'm sure someone knows how to do it, and made a video to help others, after all it's a big world. 😄

For me though, AppIconMaker is very useful because when combined with using a keyboard that allows me to type stuff like: ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ, (◕‿◕✿), ಠ~ಠ, and type it into the "text" part it shows up on the icon, and I can save it, and use it on my Amino Apps, but this is just for me, AppIconMaker has been useful for many different things and I don't even pay for it. 😄 Though I do wish it did have more features such as a icon shape editor, but then again that's my only opinion.

AppIconMaker is a great place to get icons and make your home screen look great. Maybe about a year ago, when all I had were gradients for either the background or foreground, and pro wasn’t worth it, I would agree with everyone else. But recently, AppIconMaker has changed for the better. I ended up getting pro and my home screen is better than ever! AppIconMaker does not deserve 2.3 stars. This is not google classroom. Please don’t review bomb. AppIconMaker is amazing. Thank you developer. Users who rate 1 and 2 stars, not so much. It leads people into not downloading AppIconMaker because of the reviews, when people should.

Some people are so cheap. All they want are free apps. Look I get it, and some developers abuse this practice. However, in defense of all the developers who are honest, hard working, and have integrity; your purchase helps support them so they can continue such work on their apps you use!! Especially independent devs!

Anyway, AppIconMaker has greatly improved over the last 2 updates. The wonderfully clever functionality is so easy to use, especially finding an icon- which is generously provided for you. There are so many to choose from, grouped by themes! And you can make straight up custom icons too.

If you are an avid shortcuts user this is a must have. It helps avoid visual confusion and makes Home Screen look great.

Let’s thank the independent developer for maintaining such a well done work!

The reviews are really unfair. AppIconMaker offers a lot of unique icons. And gives access to some gradient color schemes.

The pro version is only 5 dollars which really isnt that bad when you consider the time that went into making AppIconMaker.

I would, however, recommend you add ads. Just don't over do it. You should also add a feature to change both the background and icon color. At it's current version it is one or the other.

I don’t understand the people who say AppIconMaker is bad. The free version is pretty freaking good. You get HUNDREDS of icons. And plenty of color schemes to choose from. Yes there are *pro* options that look pretty dope but the free content is already amazing. AppIconMaker deserves so much more than 2.3 stars. Not to mention, out of all of the icon maker apps, this one has WAY more customization than other ones that require you to pay to even get a SINGLE THEME. AppIconMaker is just superior. Thanks developers! 🤙🏼

I don’t usually review apps, but I just finished customizing my home screens, and I was able to create beautiful gradient app icons with this program. Compared to other apps, there’s a wide selection of icons to choose from (including a fun set of “Geek” ones with images from Marvel and Star Wars). I did pay the $5 to have full functionality, but I thought it was worth it. For free, you can still create icons with a selection of solid/gradient color schemes.

I think AppIconMaker is well-structured, and considering that I have shortcuts on my phone I am not worried about applying AppIconMaker icon through AppIconMaker .

There is another issue, though, and that issue is customization. I cannot change the color gradient without paying money for pro- which, obviously, I am not going to do. Making an option visible and then ripping it away the moment someone attempts it is not very fair.

If you are looking for a certain color theme for your phone that is not already available from the menu, or you want to apply the icon through AppIconMaker itself, AppIconMaker is not for you.

When I looked at the reviews I had saw that AppIconMaker was good and free, but when i got it I didn't know how to change the colors. I had to close and open AppIconMaker over and over. It also had an option to pay for premium but when i pressed the "restore" button it just kept on loading and I still haven't figured out why it's happening.

I am revamping my app icons using Siri Shortcuts. I was make very lame ones and I hit a roadblock trying AppIconMaker Store, however I found AppIconMaker and it works! I don’t see ads, in app purchases, any of that junk! Just me, and tons of icons! One suggestion though, maybe the ability to search icons, I had some trouble finding a camera. Overall great app!

I was just looking to change my icons on my new iPhone 13, bc shortcuts is being all weird. I came to AppIconMaker in hope to get my own Home Screen, nvm tho because it costs $4.00 a month to use the stupid app, and let me just say, after spending money on a brand new phone the whole paying to have a nice home screen is not in my price range. Slightly dissatisfied with it, mainly because everyone is saying it’s so great until you have to pay for a Home Screen.

I only did 5 stars so people could see it, but you should NOT use AppIconMaker. I downloaded it and was loving the icons. ...Until I wanted to change it up a bit. I came to realize that i can’t get rid of the apps on my home screen. Now they’re just stuck there and I can’t figure out how to get rid of them.

I just learned that I could change my apps icons and was very excited to try AppIconMaker. But when i tried to upload my own image to edit AppIconMaker said I needed to pay. Also literally the only thing you can do with AppIconMaker is change the color or size of a crappy icon. All of the free icons you can “edit” you could never use for an app. Overall AppIconMaker is horrible and your better off going on etsy and paying $5 for 60 icons that you could use. Developers please at least let us upload our own images for free.

let me start off by saying that i had a lot of hope for AppIconMaker. heres what’s wrong: 1. this has membership just so that you can add photos which i think is absolutely ridiculous because there is no need of a membership in AppIconMaker whatsoever. 2.AppIconMaker is glitch and doesn’t work well for example some buttons didn’t work when i pressed. 3. you can design apps i will tell you that but like i said it’s pretty glitchy. overall i do NOT recommend AppIconMaker.

Honestly AppIconMaker does everything it claims to and does a pretty good job at it. I am currently using it to design an icon for my app and it’s been great. The only complaint I have is that you can’t use text and icons at the same time, not even on the paid version. That’s something that is withholding it’s 5 star rating. Overall good job.

not sure why AppIconMaker is rated so low because it’s really good. i’ve customized my phone at least 10 times by now and i’ve used AppIconMaker every time. sure you have to pay for stuff, but i’ve found that i can do just fine with the free stuff they give you.

AppIconMaker is really cool and I was able to take advantage of AppIconMaker and iOS 14 to customize my homescreen. I just wish we also had the option to put just a solid color rather than a gradient. It would also be nice if we had the option to upload an image to be the background for the icon. Other than those, AppIconMaker is great!

Everything else is good. But please inform me, maybe I’m doing it wrong. I bought the pro version so i could upload icons to then edit but the photos I am trying to upload won’t upload. Please help or fix this bug. May have just wasted 5 dollars :/

I love AppIconMaker but there is something wrong I can't make my icons change because it keeps crashing and second of all I can't edit any other app icons 😔pls change this 🙏🙏🙏it annoys me. I rlly want you to fix this problem it makes me disappointed. And (*ˊᗜˋ*)ᵗᑋᵃᐢᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ♡

AppIconMaker is great! There are tons of app icons and gradient color to choose from.

The only problem is that they only have 3 solid colors (unless you pay) which was disappointing for me because that’s what I was looking but if you looking for lots of gradient colors AppIconMaker is for you.

AppIconMaker is AMAZING! I wish you didn't have to pay for the majority of the icons but thats about it! Apple icons aren’t my favorite so this is perfect for me. I wish I didn’t have to keep both apps but I’m sure thats apple’s fault. Loving it

It works for very basic icons. I paid for pro to import an image but I found its ability to do anything actually useful to be limited.

A pro? I’m young not even a adult and I need to waste money on something called a pro?! I have lots of different things to spend my own allowance money own besides just making a app that I might never use. Over all it is good for creativity but it’s very hard to use also.😐

This was a great app to use gradients and basic icons, giving the style of a modern app. I would use this any time I would make an app and I’m still wondering why AppIconMaker is only 2.2 ⭐️

AppIconMaker is amazing! There are no ads, amazing choice of glyphs, and amazing gradients to choose from! Also, a size slider! The fact that AppIconMaker was rated 2 stars is a joke! Great app developer! Keep it up!

How do I use AppIconMaker I won’t work I think I need to find a different app sorry but before I use AppIconMaker make sure you fix it

AppIconMaker is decent but it can improve by having more options to play around with. I also subscribed to their free trial to test out AppIconMaker , but it seems like there isn’t a way to unsubscribe later on.

Would love to be able to change the white to another color or make a custom gradient. Other than that, however, I don’t see any flaws.

It is a fine app but there is something I don’t like when it shows your logo on the logo maker I did everything and it doesn’t work so why waste time figuring it out

Im downloding AppIconMaker rn! I finally figured out to use it!!! Seems like a good app, reliable app. HOW DOES ONE WORK THIS THING? I made an icon, I did not know what icon I was customizing and once I was done I did not know to apply it.... kinda disappointed with no instructions..

Lol just don't get AppIconMaker . It doesn't work and even after reading directions and watching tutorials it seems almost impossible to use. It's rated 2.3 stars for a reason.
