Quranic: Quran Arabic Learning Reviews

Quranic is great for kids, beginners in Arabic, and anyone interested in having a starting point to build their Arabic vocabulary pertaining to the Quran. I love how you can listen to the words you are focusing on learning and the mini stories that accompany them.

To make Quranic even better, I would suggest having the translation of the vocalists in the learning section mirror more the order of the words as the appear in the translation as to begin to see grammar patterns that can be introduced later in Quranic or taught separately outside of Quranic . I think it would prepare learners who wish to gain more knowledge of Arabic in this way indirectly.

Additionally, I love how you have flash cards that you can hear the words you are learning as well. I think it might also be nice to have the verse we learned them accompany them as an option to hear the overall way it is recited in the text. This feature may also potentially make more sense during the learning process as well as to hear both the word by itself and strung together in the verse. Again this is to make it easy for the non native Arabic speaker to immerse themselves in the language seeing how the word visually looks and sounds by itself and accompanying the words if that makes sense? All this is to inshallah make this great app even better and more useful for people who use it!

I became a Muslim 2 1/2 years ago, and I knew no Arabic whatsoever. In the first year I learned how to read the Quran but very slowly, I took a couple classes but found it tedious at first. Memorizing the vocabulary was difficult at first. I decided to go overseas to study Arabic, and for about three or four months I studied on Quranic. Now after a year and a half of studying in Egypt, I still find it beneficial to come back and take the quizzes, as there are words I sometimes forget the meetings to. The strange thing about Quranic, is the form that they give you the af’Aal in is often majzoom or mansoob which is strange to see especially when the f’il is Mutall. So I wish it when the to the original form instead of تكن تر نريَ because the standard makes things apparent. And later when people learn naho and sarf they will know it’s Marfoo’ form and whatnot.

And maybe a separation between fil ism and harf with the flash cards could be helpful.

Quranic is awesome. I’m just using the normal version right now and I don’t plan to update it. But I just wanna say, this can actually improve anyone’s understanding while they are reciting the Mushabb. For example I used to just be reciting it, not knowing what I was saying AT ALL, but now I understand some words. And the very nice thing about Quranic is you can go back to the lessons you already completed. Which is very helpful for me because I tend to forget words. But Quranic is very great though!

I’ve been using Quranic for a while and I love the design and the story aspect. But I find it hard to retain the words I learn. Sometimes I’ll find a word that has the same meaning and I’ll get frustrated. I think you guys should make a list of the words with similar meanings so people don’t have to make custom lists to test themselves. I really think it will help. Or instead of stories you have a list of words that have similar meanings and then pick ayahs that use those words. The latter option will be harder to implement but I honestly love Quranic and I would like it to help all kinds of learners. Also I found some mistakes in some definitions you might want to double check. :)

It would be great to match an English word from a list of Arabic ones. Here are a few bugs I’ve come across. - when a test is completed at the end, it isn’t marked as completed. - swiping from left slightly causes the quiz page to lose all content. - matching Arabic/English with word with another one accidentally should deselect the first.
- exact same answers are provided and selecting one of them is either right or wrong - translate option is hidden in translate tab when all hearts are lost, but it’s still accessible through the lessons page. - the images take a long time to load when starting a lesson.

Quranic is awesome. The review feature is great because it really makes you learn the words by seeing them over and over again. The only thing I wish it had was the definitions of the new words written side by side at the beginning of the lesson. I feel that seeing them will give one a chance to study them before trying to figure out which goes in the story.
I am so far on lesson 22. In the beginning I didn’t think it was sinking in but now I am starting to make out words when I see them in the Quran. My husband and I both use Quranic and we love it.

Finally an app/people who get that we want to learn Arabic to interface with the Qur'an. And the mode of teaching is entirely Qur'an-oriented. I'm not learning to read something tangent/passing, nor to write about things I care little for to nobody. I'm learning how to read the Qur'an via the Qur'an, little by little, at a pace I can manage. The satisfaction of having such a thing in life can't be explained with words. To see and feel that we are improving our relation with our Creator...? Can't wait to go through it all!

My sister invited me to download Quranic and I immediately was engaged. The design is attractive and suitable for children and adults. The memory is perfect to fit in your phone. The set up for learning the material also makes it easy to keep going and learn more. I’m excited to get everything I can out of Quranic.

A few bugs:
-The “Get Started” button on start up doesn’t work. I used the mini sign up button in the bottom though.
-I made a group for me and my sister, I invited her, it shows for her, but I can’t see her in my group.

Quranic is very well made and I’m actually able to read parts of the Quran and understand it now! One suggestion: it would be helpful to have a list of all the words I’ve learned so far with the Arabic and English side by side. The review is extremely helpful but I would also like a place where I can see all the words, study them and compare them (since some have similar meanings). If this can be added to Quranic that would be wonderful! Thank you so much for this amazing app!

I’ve been learning Arabic by reading verses of the Quran in word-by-word apps. I know some Arabic grammar and I can read reasonably well. But within 5 minutes of using Quranic, I immediately learned something new.

The story + quiz format is fun, the repetition of the quiz questions feels effective for retaining what I learned, and the format of presenting words and tapping on possible completions is as easy as it gets. Plus, I love the graphic design and overall polish of Quranic.

Another great feature is how Quranic tells you “these 10 words make up 10.3% of the Quran.” That’s very encouraging because it makes me feel like I’m making real progress towards my goal of understanding the Quran.

Quranic is amazing, it’s been the only one that’s effective and that I’ve used every day so far! All of my other apps either focus on conversational Arabic rather than this app vocabulary, or are hard to use and not effective. It would be great if you could add mode stories and more words but overall Quranic is great! Edit: please add surah Yusuf, it is one of my favorite stories from the Quran, and the only story with an entire chapter dedicated to one story.

I've been waiting for years for Duolingo to release its Arabic version, and it just hasn't happened. this app is even better because it's this app Arabic (rather than the Modern Standard Arabic version Duolingo would release). It is so well designed, and I love that I'm reviewing stories and ayats from the Quran while learning vocabulary! I hope they get enough money to make it fully free and accessible to all inshAllah ❤️ it would benefit so many.

I’m honestly so impressed with Quranic. I’ve always wanted to take a formal class to learn Arabic but life as usual got in the way of that. For people with limited time on their hands, this is an amazing alternative. I do approximately one lesson a day and then review my new and old words. I’m an adult but this is probably great for kids too as it breaks words and themed lessons down very nicely. May Allah swt reward the creators, you guys did great

I came across Quranic on someone’s timeline and decided to give it a try. Best purchase I’ve ever made!!! I can’t even put my phone done I’m obsessed. In a few lessons I’ve picked up so much.
A very well thought out and laid out app that is both educational and fun.
If I could give a 10/10 rating I would. You won’t regret using Quranic or purchasing to unlock it.

I am 12 years old. I used to take an Arabic class, but I would forget everything. Now I learn new words and I can understand the Quran. Me and my sister use this, and we are always competing to see who is on the higher lesson. Quranic is really great! I have one complain though, when I try to see the options to upgrade, the page just loads.

Sometimes when I am doing the review, it will show me the Arabic word at the top and then show me 2 choices at the bottom which are exactly the same. For example, if the word is إِنَّمَا, it will show me two choices that say “certainly”. One of them is wrong, obviously, but I have no way of knowing. If I choose the wrong one, it will mark it as wrong and send the word from Strong to Medium. It’s really annoying!

It is a nice app for this app. I’ve been happy with Quranic , and have been using it for about a month; but the new lesson cannot be unlocked for some reason. There are bugs to be fixed. I also cannot find an app support service or contact number to reach to get it fixed! I am willing to give a higher rating if there is support :(

As salaamu alaykum I made intentions to purchase the gold subscription and continue learning Quran with this new app I quickly learned to love but immediately was disappointed when I paid $5 for the subscription (that removes the 12 hour timer in between lessons) and the 12 hour timer started to glitch and got stuck on 12 hours. Quranic says I have the gold membership but it still functions as if I do not. Now I can’t even wait 12 hours for the next lesson it’s completely useless now and I lost $5. Purchased on iPhone 7

One suggestion for the review section... at the end of each review session, provide the meanings of any words missed. And/or list the meanings of all the “weak” words so extra study and practice can be done with these specifically.
Otherwise absolutely Amazing! Quranic has really helped me to improve my this app vocabulary and understanding. Thank you, JAK to all those that have helped make Quranic what it is!!

MashAllah, Quranic is really beautiful and a great idea! The execution however, can be improved. Once I got the sixth lesson, Quranic started glitching. For example, it will provide options for definitions that don’t match the word provided (so even if you click all of them it’s still wrong because all of them aren’t correct). This is a major glitch that is causing me to delete Quranic because if I can’t use it then I can’t learn from it.

Well worth the wait. this app is flawless, well almost. There’s one tiny itty bitty problem. When you’re in the middle of a lesson and you receive a phone call the lesson freezes and you’re forced to restart the lesson from the beginning. Not a HUGE problem, but something fixable nonetheless. Thank you Thank you Thank you for making this awesome app.

I would have given it four stars at first. But now there is a function that shows all the words you memorized. Just what I needed!!!! And you can create groups. May Allah bless the ones for Quranic because I do not know Arabic and this is a great short term way I can learn to understand the Quran

It is a very good app to use if you want to learn Arabic it is attractive and fun!
Two negative things is that when I invited my friends, they did download Quranic but couldn’t get in the group, another problem is that when I had Quranic on my phone, I got premium but when I logged in to my account in the iPad, it said that I didn’t get premium. Please fix ASAP

All around a perfect app!!! The graphics are cute and simple, the interface is excellent and the games fun. You can tap on each word to hear it said and it’s helped me go from zero to 100 on actually being able to read the Quran!!! Quranic is perfect. Cannot recommend it enough!
