Bring back the old designs! It’s a clear downgrade

I have owned MightyDice for years and have always been a fan of the designs, however after this update all the designs I previously fell in love with have been replaced by counterparts that are less than stunning, while before I considered saying anything at all after checking the textures it is clear that the quality has gotten far worse, please add an option to use old dice designs as the new ones feel very dead or upscaled incorrectly, ect, even lacking previous depth,

Ive later showed before and after photos and the difference is massively clear that the quality of MightyDice has drastically declined going from stunning visuals to extraordinarily flat, even the numbers got harder to read and feel as if they were just tacked on like it was typed in the most basic font where as before they fit the shape of the dice and were bold and easy to read, I request some changes or considerations as a setting to change back to the old dice, even the selection screen was far better instead of a flat menu we could see it turn and it made the experience so magical before! But now it feels completely soulless! Please, I care about this type of app even though it’s such a simple one, before I recommended it to my tabletops but now after this it’s completely fallen out of favor with all my groups from the lack of design!

Nice but could use some on-line help doc.

There should be a 'help' icon with instructions to explain how to specify more than one die of the selected type. It turns out you click the '1' next to the dice type icon to bring up a slider that can be positioned to select the quantity. Also, the sometimes available 'DIS', 'ADV', '%', and '=' icons should be explained. Instead of providing so many 'skin' types, the majority of which are ugly, the developer should have spent a little type providing the important on-line help documentation.

Getting better but still room for improvement.

Don't get me wrong, MightyDice is awesome so take my one point of contention with a grain of salt. The look and feel of MightyDice is amazing. I love the skins. I love that it's only a dollar to remove ads. I also love the new presets.

All that said, the big glaring issue I have with MightyDice is the backward nature of rolls. You have to roll and then set modifier or adv/dis after the roll. It's super unintuitive and takes a fair bit of poking to realize that the +\- buttons are modifying your previous roll. I also have no idea how to do advantage or disadvantage now except through presets.

I really wish I could set modifier and adv/dis before the roll. It would make so much more sense and be infinitely less confusing. The UX just feels completely backward despite everything else in MightyDice being top notch. Once the UX is made to be more intuitive then I will finally rate this guy five stars because it really is the best dice app out there even with this strange user experience.

Battery drain

MightyDice is phenomenal. I use it for all my on-the-go games and encounters. Whether it’s last minute, or you are taking advantage of its dice set option to have your roll ready for a magic weapon or specific damage use; MightyDice has got it all. And the dice design options are all so cool!
But! There is one big hangnail to this perfect hike, MightyDice will drain your battery like no other! It brought me from 46% to 7% battery life in less than 20 minutes! Considering that I was only rolling a die once or twice every minute, it’s really shocking that MightyDice requires so much battery power to operate. That fact alone is what’s keeping me from giving this a perfect 5/5.

Great dice application

I’ve been looking for a dice rolling application that accommodates re-roll features and this has almost everything I want in a dice app.

An improvement I’d like to recommend is some sort of visual change to the d4. All other dice end up being easily identifiable since their rolled face is upward facing. The same is not true for the d4. This doesn’t impact gameplay too much, but it takes longer to figure out what to re-roll when using multiple die. Especially since the die get slightly smaller when there are more on the screen.

Another improvement would be the ability to use pre-made dice sets. Have the application be able to recall modifiers added to a roll? Perhaps be able to scroll through the roll history and tap to select and use old roll sets.

Third improvement, implement a way to apply different skins to different die when multiple die are being used. Differentiating between different sized die, and sometimes multiple die from different sources would make gameplay easier with the mechanics of various games.

Gorgeous, no nonsense dice roller

This is the perfect dice roller. There are few necessary menus, you can easily access the number of dice and readouts. Most importantly, there’s no ads on the rolling page, only when you change dice skin. I did not mind watching the ads, and all the dice skin options are gorgeous. WebGL really shines here. Simple perfection.

Amazing app

I love MightyDice, it’s really useful when I need to roll large amounts of dice
however a bug is that you are about to get a -1 without any modifiers by turning on quick roll and using a d20 (idk about other dice) you don’t have a bug report feature so I’m just using a review

Sleek dice rolling app

Functional and pretty! Intuitive and beautiful interface. I like the roll history function, and rolling the simulated dice is so much more satisfying than just clicking a button to get a randomly generated number. My only complaint is there’s no d3. If it had a d3, it would be perfect and would replace my other dice roller entirely, and possibly my physical dice set.

Roll with Advantage!

Quite possibly the best D&D / TTRPG app I’ve ever used. Animations are satisfying, dice designs are fun and colorful, and the UI is clean and intuitive. Presets are a godsend for spellcaster mains. All in all, easily worth the $1 to remove ads. Since I don’t have any criticisms, here’s a few requests that I would love to see added:

1. Folders in the Presets tab so I can sort by whichever character I’m playing at the time

2. Multiplication modifier for spells that take 2x or 1/2x the number rolled (Life Transference / Fireball)

3. More dice! I’d gladly pay $1-5 for more designs, especially animated ones

Thank you very much for this excellent addition to my tabletop gaming nights!

Really Enjoyable

I really love MightyDice it’s one of the best dice apps out , the only dice it’s missing is the d100 now 😂. But for a future update would it be a way for you to roll on MightyDice and get a message on discord or something cause I love MightyDice but my players be trying to be sneaky with their rolls other than that it’s a really amazing app

Still a five stars, but

I have one issue with MightyDice . Is there not a way to lock your screen? Maybe I’ve missed it in the options, but even when I’ve locked my phone screen through settings, inside of MightyDice itself the screen still.

More of a question than a critique because MightyDice is nearly perfection in every regard of dice apps. The utility of MightyDice has been a great addition to cards and tabletop’s without the DND practicality to boot.

A single ad to choose from any of the skins?
Absolutely. But even so, with the cost to remove ads being a dollar? Developer absolutely deserves that at a minimum. Good stuff

Nat 20

I have been described as the type of person who would lose their head if it wasn’t attached, and it’s true. The amount of times I’ve forgotten to grab my dice for game night is staggering. Now I don’t have to beg my friends to share or break into the GM’s dice jail just to play. (It also doesn’t hurt that my rolls are way better with MightyDice)

Best Dice App!

I paid $1 for the ad-free version several years ago and recently redownloaded MightyDice as I needed to build a DND character. To my surprise, MightyDice was updated with new dice and I was not asked for more money. That’s really unusual for such a well-developed app. Props to the developer for rewarding users and keeping MightyDice up to date. This is a must have app for board gamers!

Effective

If you don’t have dice (or don’t want actual ones like a loser) this is MightyDice for you! It works quite well and, with the quick roll feature, be easy to use without annoying people with how slow you are! (Come on, man, we got places to be) If you want a good app without people beating you to death about being too cheap to buy actual dice, get this and roll all your problems away! (Or you could just get real dice... just sayin)

amazing dice app for rpg play!

VERY COOL! 1. big dice on screen so easy to read 2. can choose how many dice to roll and it adds them up for you 3. has button to choose advantage/disadvatage result 4. can add modifier to result 5. can share your result via text, airdrop, email, etc 6. what i love most are all the skins! for a low price (which also disables ads) you get a lot of different color options, and some even have cool effects like molton lava or goblin snot!

Amazing

This is the truly most amazing dice roller simulator for RPGs and imaginary story telling games. Though, I have a few suggestions:

I recommend that you add d48, d60, d100, and D120. Also, more skins would be cool, such as a silver one, or plain black white one. There should also be plain skins, such as plain black, plain white, and other plain colors such as blue and red. Also, it would be amazing to be able to add multiple dice that can be rolled.

I really hope you keep up the great work, and I would rate 100 stars if possible!

Best one out there!

I forgot my dice set to one of my D&D sessions, and I was panicking because if I left to go get it, my friends would leave too (they’re impatient.). So I started looking for an app to roll dice and I found this! My friends and I all love it. You can set it to roll quickly, you can change the die colours, you can even have multiple dice on at once. The physics are incredibly realistic and if you don’t have real dice or don’t remember to bring them, then get MightyDice. You definitely will not regret it.

Just what we needed!

I forgot to bring my dice to a dnd session, and the whole party was forced to find digital dice to use instead. I found MightyDice, and we all downloaded it because of how perfect it was!

It’s free, easy to use, you can mix & match what’s rolled. The DM switched to quick roll and loved that feature. Not to mention there are tons of color options for the dice, which made it more fun.

We might end up using Mighty Dice instead of actual dice as long as we keep playing dnd around the bonfire. I highly recommend MightyDice!

Natural 1 Official (Instagram) Review

I have used a lot of dice and dice rollers like this in a pinch, but I use this one far above any other. The options, the beautiful options!!! I use this on my Instagram stories while telling a tale and rolling for outcomes. I’ve sent so many people here and I hope to send more. (Not a sponsor... yet haha) but I love what Caleb here has done.

It’s simple but beautiful which is why I adore it. If you’re wondering “should I get this?” The answer is quick and simple. Yes, yes you should. Do it now. I love physical dice so much but this is the closest satisfaction you’ll find out there.

Simple and pretty

The dice skins are a nice touch, dark mode is appreciated, only 99cents to remove ads. Dice rolling is simple, pretty to look at, and gives you presets you can save and a history you can look at. Honestly this is all you need, worth the 99cents just to support the dev.
