Has Never Worked

2024-07-27

Literally has not once worked. The Bluetooth feature of the case that is supposed to log the pill for you has never worked no matter what I try, and when I try troubleshooting in Aavia it just asks if the case lights up when I charge it (it does) and then sends me back to the Home Screen when I click yes. The reminders I set frequently stop reminding seemingly at random (which is kind of a big deal considering taking your pill on time is essential) and I have to go in and set new ones to get it to work again. Quite frustrated that I spent $40 plus shipping on a glorified carrying case when there are better apps out there to do what Aavia does poorly without the function of the case. The idea is great but the bugs and lack of functionality of the main draw to this service makes this a waste of money.

begging for a cycle syncing app with normal notifications

2024-05-05

I was seeking an alternative to the other app I use and found this one on tiktok. seemed like it would be normal. my other one told me to “eat everything in sight” (I have bed) and its other notifications in general are trying so hard to be quirky. Aavia is exactly the same but also has a terrible interface with tons of pop ups. it’s also advertised on tiktok as being free but opening Aavia there’s tons of pop ups begging for me to pay money for key features. it’s somehow worse than my other app.
The other day, a notification told me to “get my freak on” the day after my cycle ended ?? asexual people exist btw. and I don’t want a notification about my cycle to make me think about that. I also think of trans men or masculine women in general who can never find an cycle tracking app that isn’t overtly feminine and “quirky” let alone a cycle syncing one that has each phase lined out. It’s confusing cause a lot of ppl I know who also cycle sync irl are trauma informed and allies if not queer. but I guess it’s not the people developing these apps. It doesn’t have to be boring or super clinical in order to be more inclusive either. It also told me today that “gut reactions are guardian angels” and i’m not sure if it’s meant to be literal or not. I just want to know where I am in my cycle, not be utterly confused. It’s deleted

To complicated

2024-09-03

I just wanted a normal period tracker that would keep track of my cycle so I couldn't remember when it last was. It's just way too overly complicated it's asking me to many questions and none of them even a line up with what I'm feeling?. my old period tracker was way better than theirs but unfortunately they were selling data but if they weren't I would honestly go back to that one because it was way better it would track a lot better and it wouldn't ask me stupid questions and I could fill in the how my own day was and then leave it as like a "sticky note". Yeah but this was just way too complicated and if it was a lot more simpler with all the weird questions and the stupid pay wall that they have I feel like this would be a lot better. Especially with the stupid horoscope stuff like I don't care about that and that has with my menstrual cycle??

Fine, not particularly helpful

2024-03-27

I liked the tracking aspect of Aavia, but since you can’t look at graphs over time of any of the categories besides mood, it’s not particularly helpful in getting an overall picture of how your hormones affect your body and mental state. I also wish it allowed more customization of symptoms– I experience insomnia linked to hormonal changes but not ever lower back pain, it would be good to have the option to add your own. Overall, I like the idea but found it didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know as someone with PMDD who is very aware of my cyclical shifts. If you had never paid attention to anything hormonal, this would be a fine place to start.

Has potential but unusable for irregular periods

2024-03-27

As someone with PMDD and an irregular period with the implant, it’s nearly impossible for me to predict the average time between my periods but so important to be aware of the signals. But when I put in the estimate for my last period and average time in between in Aavia , it calculated that I was in a luteal phase when I’m actually feeling quite the opposite. Unfortunately, it doesn’t allow you to go back and edit your past periods or correct the phase you’re in, so it becomes pretty much useless. Also, I was hoping to delete my account and start over, but nothing happens when you press the delete button.

used to be so good :(

2024-02-06

Aavia used to be AMAZING before all the paid features were added. it helped me understand my hormones and my cycle so much. i recommended it to so many friends. now, Aavia is incredibly difficult to navigate. simply tracking a period feels like a multi step process. sometimes less is more, and i think that is true for an app such as this one. i’ve gone back to tracking my cycles the old fashion way (on a regular old calendar) because the fuss of Aavia just isn’t worth it to me anymore. i hope it goes back to the way it was, because i really used to love it so much.

A little glitchy

2024-06-05

I really love the premise of Aavia and they paywall isn’t that bad in my opinion because the amount of coding and knowledge it takes to create the more detailed aspects is worthy of pay, but when I’m using the most basic free aspects of Aavia and swiping through symptoms, there are lots of glitches. Almost every other slide that i swipe, it freezes, and I’ve learned to wait the 5-10 seconds that it takes to move to the next symptom on the list because otherwise while it’s frozen, it will check off yes for the symptom I can’t even see yet. But I love the mission! If you can fix this issue I think Aavia can be great.

Cute!

2024-05-14

Aavia is insanely cute! Colors, font, words, etc! It is an absolutely pleasing app to have and it seems like it gets the job done. (I only use the free version). But, I can’t help but notice how slow it can be. When logging periods (prior dates) “quick add🩸” is not so quick… it takes a minute to actually register you clicked on it and fill it for you, and so when I went to log 3 years worth of my periods, it took a very long time due to having to sit and wait for it to catch up with my clicks (not very fast…) ! But overall, I hope Aavia can replace Flo! Saw on tiktok, very cute :)

Has potential

2024-02-06

I love everything about the user experience, the swiping, and how quick it is to log everything, and I love how it shows me my moods and how they align with my hormone levels but I wish I didn’t have to try to assess the correlations of those on my own by scrolling through the graph. It seems like it’d be very easy with the info they have to tell me averages - for example, usually you are in a bad mood when your estrogen is low, etc. I just wish it had more actual and data-driven insights than just a vague hormonoscope.

Good, room for improvement on the log

2024-09-08

Aavia is so good at tracking my irregular periods, I love the hormonoscope!!!!!!!!

It’s a little difficult to understand tho, there are certain things I wish were different

1. I wish we could add our own things to the log to track even if it doesn’t fall onto statistics or it’s a different statistic for the summary. I would love to be able to add my own symptoms to it.

2. It automatically assumes how I feel. If I’m trying to log my appetite, just because I say it wasn’t bigger than usual it assumes it was small. This bothers me a lot because I have an ED and I would really like a wide range of characteristics to log and be able to track( like: no appetite, small, normal, bigger than usual). Sometimes it makes me feel bad when it says small appetite and I start overthinking my progress.

3. The same thing happens with skin, there’s only mild and major breakouts, I do like that it asks if it’s dry or oily. But I would like to manually log what I consider a small, mild or big breakout. I don’t think a simple pimple would fall onto mild.

4. If I accidentally log my period, I re-swipe and sometimes it stays logged.

Ultimately the log assuming is my biggest issue, but I love the idea of Aavia. It’s so fun and easier to track your tendencies. Thank you to the developers of Aavia!

i love aavia, but i have some suggestions!

2024-04-24

i love the features Aavia has to offer and the fact that it doesn’t feel like it’s screaming at me with ads and unsolicited information. i, also, love how it feels personalized and how informative it is. it’s teaching me a lot about my cycle and my mood!

however, i wish the mood logger had more in-depth options. for instance, my mood fluctuates all throughout the day, at some points im high or im low. i often find myself not know how to answer the “are you in a good mood today” swipe because it’s sometimes deeper than a simple “yes or no”. i feel like it should have an in-between/ “meh” option or have an option for us pick out more distinct emotions. i hope what im saying makes sense!

Great Suggestions, Helping Mental Health. Not for Kids.

2024-03-27

Aavia have significantly changed the way I look at my cycle and how I look at self care. It’s helping my mental health, and I’m taking care of myself more. It helps me keep track of when it’s time to take my lady pill too. Beautiful look and super modern. However, there is a community page, and it is basically uncensored in there, so if you are a parent looking at Aavia for your pre-teen or 14 year old, I wouldn’t recommend it. No, you cannot post pictures that isn’t the problem, it just talks about a lot more adult concepts and I wouldn’t really recommend it for anyone who is under 15. Positive community, and even though it’s a newer app, it’s definitely one of the better period/hormone trackers out there. It also tracks your mood which is cool.

Really Good but some technical issues

2024-02-06

I really like Aavia. It helps me track symptoms & log when I take my pill in kind of a fun and easy way. I like how it gives you info on hormone cycles too! I have been having a lot of issues getting it to work recently tho. I keep getting logged out of my account & now the login page won’t even load

A few small things

2024-04-28

i've been using Aavia on and off for a few weeks and it's alright, not a fan of the daily i'll notifications but what can ya do. I like that it doesn't force you to select which birth control you're on (I'm gay, and no app ever has an option for that). The swiping function makes it pretty fun and interactive but I wish I could go back when I swipe accidentally. Not a fan that it says "saturated fats" are "bye" for my pre ovulatory phase. It might be worth it to just chuck any sort of macronutrient diet advice because of A. how hard it is to actually determine what is healthy and what isn't and B. how it could affect users with EDs.

easy way to track symptoms!

2024-03-27

i recently started using BC to help manage my pms symptoms! i’m loving Aavia because it makes it so easy and fun to track my mood and physical symptoms. i’ve been using a competitor app for years to track my cycle and i wish there was a way to transfer my information from one app to another, but very excited to start collecting new data!

LOVE LOVE LOVE AAVIA!!!

2024-09-03

I’ve been tracking my cycle with this app for half a year now, and I have to say this is the best period tracker app I’ve used.

The amount of features they include and the layout of Aavia is so pleasing to me. I do wish they had basal body temp input option and a way to plot ovulation in case it is irregular for me. but I understand that there is a small crew behind the running of Aavia and I appreciate every little step they’re taking to making it better. On the other hand, I personally find every feature that is included extremely helpful to stay on top of my cycle tracking.

On top of all of that the community on Aavia as well is so so strong, supportive and helpful. You can ask any sort of question or search for any answer without fear of judgement whatsoever. I love Aavia, and I love what these individuals are doing to make Aavia grow.

NEW USER AND LOVING IT

2024-08-31

Recently downloaded this app after seeing a tiktok about it on my fyp! I had been using the iPhone health app then the Flo app, wasn’t really happy with or inspired by either. Especially with Flo’s whole controversy about selling data, and they have lots of options to learn about things but you have to pay sooo much, it’s ridiculous. this app is such a nice change! It’s made and powered by women. The design and structure of Aavia is so cute as well, I love logging my daily updates and getting my “hormonoscope” at the end! I use the community tab sometimes, I do feel like that could be improved on a bit more. Made a little more interactive somehow? Other than that though, I’m enjoying Aavia very much!

This app is awesome, but I have a feature suggestion!

2024-09-08

I have been using this app consistently for about a month and a half now, and I love it! I only use the free version, and while I wish I had some of the features that you get only if you pay for them, it’s still a lovely app. As someone who exercises a lot, and on a regular basis, nothing impacts my routine more than my cycle. I can log energy levels on Aavia , which is cool, but I’d like to record a bit more information. Maybe by adding another stack of questions, they could say something along the lines of “Did you workout today?” “Did you do cardio?, weights?, yoga?” This would allow users to track their exercise and see how it correlates with their cycle, and what exercises feel BEST during their different phases. I think it would allow users to learn more about their physiology, and working with it in the best way for them. Thank you this app! Continuing to share your app with friends and family 🩵💜.

This app could be the perfect app! Just needs some bug fixes

2024-04-24

I am obsessed with the idea of Aavia! This is the exact type of app that i’ve been looking for. I love the hormonoscopes and ever since I started using it, i’ve noticed a significant change in my mood, energy, and productivity. The only negative thing is that it can use some bug fixes. Sometimes I get the same hormonoscope two days in a row, and sometimes Aavia just wipes a bunch of my tracking progress. Once they fix those bugs, this is going to be my favorite app ever!

Great app for the brain who forgets to log

2024-07-12

I love Aavia, especially in comparison to the previous apps I've used (e.g. Flo and the Apple Health tracker). One of the best parts about it is the swiping flow-chart style of logging symptoms, where you don't go through and check your symptoms off of a list, but instead are asked followup questions based on previous responses. The continual addition to features and content based on user input creates a welcoming environment that encourages discussion, including any negatives you share. The developers are involved in the community section and happy to discuss any feedback.

A pleasure to use

2024-09-03

✅What I like✅: ⭐️Active devs who listen to the users ⭐️Quickly log your state of mind & body ⭐️Aavia ’s overall mood and “hormonoscope” reflect what phase you’re in 🌟Easy to read and customizable calendar that allows you to zoom out month-by-month and see all logged symptoms at a glance ⭐️Mood trend chart helps you see what moods you have logged the most. 🚧What can be improved🚧: ⛔️Separate communities based on life stages. I am married and TTC, but I see mostly kids posting so I never use it. I’d love my own space without minors where I can ask adult questions to the correct audience.⛔️Add custom symptoms. Period Tracker has this and I can easily follow my unique symptoms on the calendar with symbols. I’d like to see the this app app reflect this, like having a TTC/pregnancy mode.

Informative and fun to use

2024-08-31

I love the questions for each category, sometimes I don’t really know what to log and it serves as a guide. I also like the streak feature that counts how many days in a row you log. I feel accomplished when I see seven out of seven logs! Makes me wanna keep logging. I also like that it’s not strictly just for logs and there are other categories, pretending to health overall.

One feature I wish I had is the ability to add notes in the movement category. I use Aavia to track my workouts as well and it would be helpful to see what kind of workout I did.

The best! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2024-06-05

I made the switch from Flo and other period apps and will never go back. Aavia makes tracking actually FUN and is just so much more aesthetically pleasing too. I love all that Aavia has to offer. It’s completely free and doesn’t constantly pressure to pay for the subscription like other apps do.

Loves:
• The log! It’s fun, easy to use, and so many different things for you to track. You can be as simple or specific as you want. I especially love the mood tracker 🔥
• Break down and overview of your cycle + trends
• Community
• Aesthetic ✨
• New features and constant improvements

Some suggestions for improvement:
• Better explanation of Hormonscope and phases. They are vague and simple which is nice, but I would also love to be able to click and see more info on what causes this or what it means
• Pair with apple health easily and automatically (miss this from Flo). I use my watch to track ovulation and it needs my info from periods, it would nice to not have to double enter on both apls
• free trial of subscription. I have been interested in it but at the same time unsure of what all it is and if it’d be a good fit for me.

Aesthetically fun & informative

2024-09-08

I’ve always been one to have irregular periods and I’ve found menstrual apps to be a bit daunting because I didn’t trust I’d get accurate data… I had a falling out with Flo and I was presented with this app and now I actually look forward to inputting my daily info and learning more about what phase I’m in and so on. Plus the aesthetic all around is adorable. I’ve set it up as a widget which helps as a reminder to check in each day as well as tell me my phase like “Flirty Fun Follicular” 😋 plus you instantly start your free trial without having to put in information! definitely worth your time

My fav period app!

2024-07-10

I have tried so many different apps, and they never work. Once I was on instagram and I saw it and I was like nah it won’t work, then I kept on getting it so I finally downloaded it. I had very low expectations but it works great! I have used it for a long time and it tracks ur period like really good, I have irregular period but it predicts really good. It only misses like a week or a few days but better than any other app I have ever used. They chat setting is the best, I am not new to periods but still it helps to ask our fellow people that get periods bc I really can’t trust google 😂. So honestly if you need a good period app and you’re like me who has a irregular period it tracks very close to the date that it happens, or if you just got your period and you need a good app that helps u bc you need someone to help you navigate your questions this is Aavia ! If you are under 18/gets triggered about something they have a chat setting that will turn off triggers. It helps me navigate my emotions and how hard I should exercise/work. Ik this is long but I LOVE Aavia. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Please fix bugs!!!

2024-05-14

I have been using this app for several months and it has been very effective at aiding me in taking my my birth control on time. However, since the newest update (which I presume was to fix the previous bug), my hormonoscope and birth control log are not there. There is simply empty space and a blank white page in their places when I try to access them. Please fix, because I love Aavia and would like to keep using! 🙏🙏🙏

made me feel more comfortable with my period

2024-09-08

i’m on nexplanon so my period has always been irregular, and i have a chronic illness that tends to flare up with my cycle. before this app i always treated my period as something that was disconnected from the rest of my mental and physical health- ignoring it until the week of. with using this app i’ve become more comfortable with how much my period truly effects my emotions and my physical health, it’s even helped me predict flare ups with my illness. this app makes it fun to log information and gain insight; ive always had an issue with every period tracking app ive tried where i just don’t enjoy logging my period or symptoms, but this app makes it easy and kind of fun. i’ve recommended it to all of my friends.

the only thing i wish was different was the ability to log specifics about appetite, emotions, physical activity, and bowel movements, and have the specifics be used for predictions. of course, i know that’s not easy to do, and i still love this app as is.

all in all, highly highly recommend:).

FINALLY understanding my own hormones!

2024-06-05

Aavia is everything I’ve been looking for.
It teaches me about women’s health and hormone cycles and let’s me log all sorts of information about my well-being, every day. Seeing them clearly, together, makes it so simple to finally understand myself and what to expect and how to function better. The community tab is a fun feature too- I like helping answer questions people post if I can and I can’t wait to pop one of my own questions in there, when it comes up!

I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without Aavia!

love this app!!

2024-06-05

I’ve been using this app for only a couple of weeks but I love it and have been recommending it to my friends. I love how easy it is to use, how cute the layout is, how it’s gender neutral, and how it teaches you about which point in your cycle you’re at and what foods/exercise/activities would be best during that time!
after a week of using the free version I subscribed for the paid version and I think it’s totally worth it. also love that they don’t sell your data, that’s super important to me!!

Love the format!

2024-06-05

I love the format of this tracker - it’s the only health tracker I’ve used that I can finish my logging in less than 2 minutes. I like how it displays my data too. It’s easy to understand and is customizable, but not too complicated.

I’m using this to get a better idea of how my hormones affect my mood and chronic pain. So many other symptom logging apps I’ve tried feel like a hassle. I actually look forward to using this app!

Would love this format/display for a more general health tracking app! Kudos to the developers, you all did a great job!! Thank you!

Just what i needed

2024-06-05

5 stars because for someone who couldn’t keep track of these things on my own due to just not being that type of person, Aavia gives people a space that is pre organized to notice patterns in their hormones/cycle, ask questions, seek motivation and much more. I love how easy it is to navigate and doesn’t feel like a chore to log each aspect. Helps me observe symptoms, hormones, and periods from month to month. and it’s free! it’s quick and simple too.

One suggestion :)

2024-09-03

I love Aavia. It is unique in the fact that I get sent a notification each morning that remind me of where I am in my cycle. I also love the graph on the home screen that shows me how my hormones are fluctuating.

My suggestion for Aavia would be to make it easier to log your period’s flow. currently, it takes a few swipes past some Yes or No questions before getting to a question about flow.

I would love the option to be able to just click light, medium, heavy; and be done with the process. All I want to do is log the flow of my period 😅🥲

I am a little dissuaded to log my period through Aavia , so I just log my period through Apple Health, because it is easier. The thing is, this app doesn’t read data from my Apple Health, so even if i log my period in Apple Health, I get a notification the next morning from this app saying i’m on “day 14” of my luteal phase.

I love the morning notifications so much that I sometimes will log my period in both Apple Health and this app… but, it would be great if they both synced up together 😊

With that being said, thank you to the developers and designers working on Aavia. I’m so grateful something like this exists, because it really does make me feel more in touch with the workings of my body. Thank you guys again for Aavia!! 💕

Perfect app!

2024-06-05

I love Aavia! It has everything you would need in a cycle tracking app: logging workouts, symptoms, moods, skin, sleep, appetite, etc. It’s amazing! On top of that you get to visually see how your moods & physical symptoms change throughout the phases of your cycle. It also gives you suggestions on what workouts to do, what foods to eat, and what activities are suggested based on your cycle. I started using this app when I was having a really hard time with my cycle, and as things have gotten better, I will still continue to use it. On top of everything, the creators of Aavia truly care about their users and the experience. Feedback is extremely important to them, it just shows how much they care about Aavia and those who use it. I will never use a different app for cycle tracking!

Favorite tracker by far

2024-08-31

I used this app for a while last year but quit after a mental health crisis. I'm coming back to Aavia now to help take better care of myself and to track my hormones and it's been great. I absolutely love Aavia and it's been my favorite tracker that I've ever used. And not only is the tracker itself wonderful but so is the community that it's created. I've found so much help and support in the community section of this app and everyone is so nice and so supportive. Overall Aavia has really helped me and I would recommend it to anyone who needed it. :)

100% never going back to flo

2024-09-08

I first heard of this app from an instagram video that popped up on my fyp and when i tell you I WAS SHOOK by what i learned… the video basically said how flo is owned by two random men and honestly after using this women-owned app, i can tell the difference! The people that made Aavia have obviously had a period before because everything is so informative and as a bonus, cute! To be honest, logging my daily info at the end of the day has become something i look forward to! I could talk about Aavia all day but needless to say, my friends and i have all quit Flo and now use this app!! 🫶

Wonderful App

2024-08-31

I normally don’t make reviews but seeing as Aavia actually aids me in life, I thought I’d leave one.

I enjoy the daily check-ins and how you can customize which check-ins you want to do. I enjoy the horoscope aspect because it’s funny and actually gives some nice advice. I like the community option as well. Engaging with others is always fun, however I’m glad it’s just asking questions and no one on one messaging possible, makes Aavia feel safer for me to suggest to my little sister because weirdos are everywhere they can be. I enjoy all the information I get to learn that school has not taught me.

the BEST app for cycle tracking

2024-03-21

this is the first time i have used a cycle tracking app and loved every feature. Aavia is truly about getting to know you and your cycle along with helping you learn about your body. after using Aavia i understand my body’s cycle and when i am most productive, most happy, when i get the best sleep, the list goes on. this is so different from normal apps and i couldn’t be happier with my experience!

cool concept & beautiful look

2024-01-31

i found Aavia from a zodiac page (astrowonders) when i was just looking for one like this, but most popular apps either look ugly or store any and every info on the user. so this was really good timing. the look and concept of Aavia is very beautiful and original, it even looks like an astrology app, which makes things less technical and awkward. my only suggestions are to be able to chose 2-3 main things one would want help on instead of just 1, and also fixing the bugs a little, since Aavia does crash sometimes when i enter it, so i'm forced to re-enter. but i understand it's a newer app, and compared to most hormone / cycle tracking apps out there, it's still 5/5 stars for me.

Best cycle app i've used

2024-01-31

automatically has a free trial so that you can see what premium is without being nervous of accidentally paying for anything, but the free version has nearly everything you could want and i love it so much! i can't even list all the great features it has, not to mention its very aesthetic which matters just a bit if you're anything like me 😉

Great Cycle Tracker

2024-01-31

I love the way it trackers your cycle through the month! It’s super easy to use while it helps to understand what is happening with your body. I do wish the questions of your day were slightly different everyday because I feel it becomes redundant. I feel I’d be more excited to come to Aavia and answer questions if there was a variety of questions to answer through the week.

best app

2024-01-31

as someone who has always felt very out of touch with my cycle and my hormones, Aavia really changed a lot for me with being able to track everything and also get tips and learn about different stages of my cycle, which is some thing I had never known about before. There’s also a social feature where you can post things and get advice which I love. I think if you’re a woman you need Aavia.

Love this app!!

2024-02-06

I saw Aavia in TikTok and while I’ve tried many apps before and non have really worked for me, I decided to stop using any apps whatsoever. But after a while I decided to give this app a try and I honestly love it! It has all the features you need and I love the pill tracker feature. I have yet to really dive deep into Aavia but overall it’s great and I also
Like how I can use my student discount for the premium
