I didn’t really want an app to order at the food truck, but it’s COVID times, I get it, every little bit of limiting contact helps, so I downloaded it. Did not want to set up an account, but luckily Truckster offers Sign in with Apple. Great! Tap it and go. Getting ready to check out with my order when Truckster throws up a pop-up saying they noticed I’m using Sign In with Apple, and how sometimes those forwarded emails don’t go through (eye roll), and demanding I hand over my actual email address. Instead of offering an, “I’m an adult, I’ll take my chances” button, they just force you to give an email or, I guess, you can back out and just not eat. It’s winter here, my family is hungry, so I gave them my email. Felt totally scammed. Can’t wait to see who they’re going to sell it to!

App notifies incessantly if you don't have notifications turned on. Even when you acknowledge that you want notifications turned off Truckster brings you to Truckster -specific settings screen to approve turning on notifications again and again.

When I opened Truckster today it was blank and didn’t do anything.

Truckster is honestly miserable to use. Takes all day to load and has a pretty crappy inventory of trucks. Half the trucks don't show up. Location is finicky. Deleted Truckster after like an hour.

I love the idea of gathering all the food truck info and messaging it out to the public. But it still has only 10% of the local food trucks listed. Further, clicking on a specific food truck schedule gives me a blank screen (bug). Also, I could not see the times for when the truck was available at that location. Sorry, but I’ll have to delete it again and wait for someone else to develop something better.

Unfortunately useless for Portland, because it’s missing over a dozen permanent food cart venues, including dozens and dozens of trucks. Some of these carts have been available for years, at the same locations.

I can find more food carts and more locations using Apple’s Map app, than I can using this app, which is designed specifically for the carts.

The application itself is decent. It’s clunky to turn the “detail ribbon“ off and on, but once you get used to it, it’s easy enough to move around the map and spot marked locations.

I would be willing to give it a try for another city. But for now, I think they should just remove Portland, Oregon entirely.

The developer response to a different review suggested that it had something to do with the cold weather, or “lack of events“, but that seems unlikely — as mentioned above, these carts are easily found in other apps, and Internet searches, and have been located at the same address for years.

So I have tried using Truckster multiple times however every time I click on the open now filter it does not show where the trucks location are at the time I’m looking.

It only shows where they will be the next day. Which is not helpful. If I have the wrong setting or something please tell me. However, so far am not a fan.

I downloaded this based on a recommendation from a friend. I live in College Station, TX. this app has no service here. Truckster says there is service in Houston so I tried looking there. No trucks populated. I know there are many food trucks in Houston so there is a problem with the search function for that city.

Hopefully they will add service in College Station since it is home to Texas A&M University and fix there Houston search function.

I was turned on to Truckster by a co-worker and I have been hooked ever since. Not only do you get the details regarding when and where but also get notices of future events as well. This is an incredible app that goes way above and beyond anything else out there.

I’m always trying to support small businesses and food trucks are a great way to do it. I love Truckster because it makes it that much easier for me to find and support these small local businesses.

Hands down, this app is the best app for finding and booking food trucks. The customer service is unparalleled and they helped make my event scheduling easy. Definitely hit these guys up for food truck catering.

This is a great app to find food trucks that are near and far. Definitely worth downloading to find food trucks near you and available trucks for catering and events!

I just learned about this app this week and it’s already my favorite app. It helps to find my favorite food trucks in a snap. No more going to multiple social media sites for each truck. Hopefully other cities will be added in 2020. Kudos for Truckster design as well...it’s fantastic.

Truckster is gosh darn incredible! You can see food trucks around you, search for food trucks you like, and also mobile order directly from them. Love Truckster. Can’t wait to see this app pop up in other cities
