Do not purchase this app

At one time I would’ve given NonSoundMeditation 10 out of 10. I had such a variety of sounds like bells, water, etc. A huge array of unusual sounds. It was amazing and a delight! It was also expensive but worth it. Now it is just a dim shadow of the original app. (2 out of 10 but only because at least it has drones) All it does is drone and it’s missing all the other sounds it used to have! It’s obvious that the developer has stopped working on it quite a while ago. It’s a shame when a developer doesn’t update their apps, especially after you pay a hefty lifetime subscription fee. Shame on them! Do not buy NonSoundMeditation until you see that it is recently updated!!! (Less than 6 months)

Hard to contact support

Is there any option to turn off the bells? Especially the ones at the end. They’re very jarring, and it ruins the relaxation of NonSoundMeditation .

(I can’t figure out how to contact support— the support button on NonSoundMeditation Store links to the website, and the website has no contact info and just links back to the store to download. So, the only way to submit an issue is in a public review.)

has this app been abandoned?

i used to LOVE non. the variety of organic sounds would keep my mind gently focused on my meditations. the interface was beautiful and easy to understand (minus the “drag to adjust energy settings” aspect). i paid for a yearlong subscription and it was super reasonably priced and worth the investment. but i think maybe the developers have stopped updating NonSoundMeditation? the past several months i’ve noticed the sounds - chimes, dings, rain sticks, cool natural sounds - have disappeared and every session is just one long low droning sound. it’s a huge bummer and really more of a distraction during meditation because all i can think about is how grating and frustrating the drone sound is. i’ve started just doing silent meditations with the chime sound but that doesn’t really seem worth it to just pay for a timer. i’m sad NonSoundMeditation seems to be fallen by the wayside or maybe not maintained anymore?

Beautiful minimalist app missing one thing

This is absolutely one of the most beautiful app with a rare minimalist design that can make you totally focus on one thing meditate which the point.

it just missing one small thing an integration with the Apple heath app to sync the meditate time this would be really good as to be able to track the time spent. Am not sure this will be added as NonSoundMeditation isn’t making any money. But I hope there will be a paid version that can support that one day.

Life Changing App

I’m someone who is just discovering how profound that meditation is for my spirit and my mental health. I have depression, anxiety, complex PTSD, and ADHD. It’s difficult to find peace. NonSoundMeditation has helped me to do it on a consistent basis. I don’t leave reviews for ANYTHING that I download and I feel I need to thank the creators of NonSoundMeditation for helping me.

I’m a musician, so I really tend to focus with interest and curiosity on how things sound. Spacey synth pads, bells, and small accent noises are things that bring me a lot of happiness. NonSoundMeditation provides that sort of soundscape in spades- I also love that each session is unique unto itself.

Guided meditations often annoy me, because a) the guides’ voices can be distracting/grating, which throws off my mindfulness, and b) I don’t like being guided in my thoughts- ADHD makes that difficult. Having a unique platform like this to just let my mind calm itself without a voice intruding on things is really, really nice. I truly appreciate NonSoundMeditation and it has become a go to for my mental health.

My only critique/request: the ability to sync up with the Health dashboard on iOS would be good, so that I can track my mindful minutes more easily. That addition would make NonSoundMeditation absolutely perfect for my needs. It’s hard to improve perfection, though. Thank you, non!

Simple, immersive & calming

I’ve tried a few meditation apps and usually find them more distracting than they are helpful. Non is so simple and intuitive to use. The design is beautifully minimal but not so minimal it is difficult to use. The sound design is immersive and resonates calm. (Way better than listening to waterfalls or nature sounds)
Non has made me look forward to meditating - I can’t recommend enough.

After paid subscription

Hello. i’ve been using non for a while now and recently i purchased a monthly subscription but every time i open NonSoundMeditation to use it, it asks me which plan i’m going to subscribe to without letting me do anything else. I thought NonSoundMeditation in itself was free, no?

Speechless

The soundtrack for an exact moment in time. Every session is truly unique . A very smart and minimal interface that other apps should take notice of. The “less is more” approach is definitely t working to its benefit. NonSoundMeditation gets it right and I can’t imagine not having it as a part of my daily and nightly routine.

LOVE this app

I discovered NON recently- and it really is a wonderful tool and companion for the moments when you’re looking for help and support in clearing your mind of distractions and existing in the moment. It’s simultaneously calming and invigorating. I really can’t say enough good things and am hard pressed to think of an app I’m happier about having on my phone.

Better Than Any Medi. App I Imagined

The design. The sounds. The touch controls. The month-long free trial. I will happily allow the subscription to renew and fork over a couple of dollars per month. It’s particularly good for one who has a pair of noise-canceling headphones and likes to take a float while in an environment with potential distractions like people, work, other noises, etc. Congratulations, NonSoundMeditation is fantastic.

An excellent tool for meditation

I am so grateful to have found NonSoundMeditation. It is the best tool for meditation out there that I've encountered. I love the diverse palette of sounds, the option to choose the peak intensity of each session, and the uniqueness of each session, not to mention the beautiful design and ease of use. Thank you so much, Non, for sharing access to this useful and beautiful tool!

Perfect

I have tried just about every meditation app, and most fall short in some way or another - whether it's difficult to use, poor sound quality, cheesy guided meditations, bad aesthetics, etc. Non is simple and beautiful and creates ambient soundscapes that I completely lose myself in. It's great for the distractible meditator, but I also use it to focus while working and to calm myself during stressful commutes. Highly recommend!!

Sensory meditation is awesome

I spent my Spring practicing at a Zazen temple near where i live. While i was there, i fell in love with the rituals they performed around meditation; and how much it enhanced the meditation itself.

Upon coming back, none of the meditation apps I had come anywhere close to reproducing the deep trances of those rituals. Until I found non.

The “sensory meditation” NonSoundMeditation provides has sense become my favorite way to meditate at home - would highly recommend it

Center into your SELF

Where to start?… i suppose the beginning will suffice. i was recommended NonSoundMeditation by a friend. I was in a very different part of my life then. i was definitely more depressed, despairing, destructive and generally downtrodden by life always looking through a more nihilistic lens. NonSoundMeditation didn’t help with every aspect of my life directly without me doing the growing up and taking on more personal responsibility for my own life. However, non has been a constant companion through every season of my life. non has been my center and where i can return after venturing beyond my limit. It only takes a minute of your time if that’s all you have to spare. In depths of despair it acts almost like stairs, lifting one up doubly as one exerts effort. In closing I’d like to say, “Thank you, non! I’ve befriended you for life.

Love this! Simple but elegant

I was looking for a meditation app that would be less structured than the guided one I usually use. I wanted something that would keep the time and maybe add some simple sounds. This was the perfect find. It took me a few tries to figure out how to work it, but once I did, it gave me a very pleasant, calming experience, which was exactly what I wanted. Thank you, non!

Customization

I love NonSoundMeditation, don’t get me wrong. But while I love the diversity and randomness of the sounds, it would be lovely to be able to change which ones it picks from. I am not at all a fan of rain sounds, or any water related sounds for that matter. Maybe a settings menu where you can select and deselect from the array of sounds? And one final question: where is the settings menu you said would come in January?

Perfect for the Non Beginner

I’ve used a few meditation apps now and I do love all of them. They’re all pushing for the same goal which is amazing. Headspace and Waking Up really taught me how to meditate. However I no longer need guidance in my practice.

This is where Non comes in. The sounds are perfect for getting into a meditative state and the different intensity levels are well set in relation to their sonic characteristics. 100% recommend NonSoundMeditation for someone who enjoys meditating and going deep within themselves in the process.

Awesome

There should be an option that enables user to use app without location / connection to Internet. My location is usually off and the pop up to turn on location is suuuper laggy. I would have to turn off my phone, turn back on, and swipe up ASAP to close NonSoundMeditation before the laggy pop up starts again.

Totally understand the location feature and why it exists and how it makes NonSoundMeditation better. But cool if it’s not a requirement either.

Pretty awesome app.

Best Meditation App I’ve used

I truly love NonSoundMeditation. I don’t normally write reviews on any app, no matter how much I enjoy them, but this one is too good not to write one. I love it’s simplicity and it’s modern design. NonSoundMeditation is really visually appealing and also very easy on the eyes. It often adapts to the lighting and the time of day. I love how each meditation is unique with different sounds. I like how there’s no interruptions, it’s straight to the point, no talking, no ads, or anything like that. If you’re exploring individual meditation, i definitely 100% recommend NonSoundMeditation. I literally have no complaints. Thank you for this wonderful and amazing app, and I thoroughly express my gratitude to the creators of it.

Beautifully designed

This is one of the most beautiful apps and experiences I have on my phone. It has become my 10 mins morning ritual and I look forward to it everyday when I wake up. I recommend using headphones or speakers to fully be immersed in the sound.
