It’s the same as wqow. When you set the alerts it’s not weau voices like wqow does. Also when you test the severe alert it says an avalanche warning has been issued for my location. Weird. I see no need for two apps so I’ll have to stick with wqow. I sure miss the days where we had alerts on the computer from weau. Those were the days.
I keep getting warnings for a severe thunderstorm 'in my area' it's not anywhere close to my area, Or coming in my direction. I have the settings on for Eau Claire. So why am I getting alerts for northern Wisconsin? And on top of that they make us watch a 13 second ad before the video starts. Let's hope nothing very urgent or serious happens.
I put it on my iPhone and it won’t let me go on it I finally put weather app on my phone but no news on WEAU13FirstAlertWeather very disappointed
Does not work
WEAU13FirstAlertWeather seems to have its share of problems. Received 4 weather alerts this morning in less then a minute, all for the same thing. Then the video fails to play on all of them (this is an ongoing problem). One forecaster needs more practice or possibly a different occupation, it’s almost painful to watch. Since this station is now our “local” weather source we are still using The Weather Channel and News 19 more often.
WEAU13FirstAlertWeather keep alerting you constantly about new station alerts but it’s always for the same thing. It should allow you to only be notified of severe weather IN YOUR AREA!!
