KXII Weather Authority App Reviews

I get constant “alerts” but nothing new comes up in KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp . Not very affective and just makes you want to delete KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp .

99% of these notifications are a waste of time. Needs a setting to change it.

Every time i try to look at the weather even on WiFi it says it has a connection problem.

So many ads, it’s hard to see what’s app content and what’s not.

Background and cloud graphic makes it very difficult to see the information. The clouds in the background make information recede. Please consider a little darker background or bolder lettering. I have tried my phones dark mode and even brightening but it does not change the background one bit. I like KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp but use others because I cannot see the information clearly.

The notifications that are not related to the weather are really unnecessary. The attempts at humor would be tolerable if the notifications weren’t never ending.
For example, getting a notification about the arrival of ‘Hot Harry’ at midnight on a workday makes me want to delete KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp.
Maybe someone else at the tv station should be responsible for sending out the updates for KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp.

The weather videos flash by so fast I can’t find my county & town. Also, can’t hear the weather person even though I’ve unmuted the sound in KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp & my volume on phone is turned all the way up. Maybe I’m doing something wrong?

What I thought I was getting was a weather alert system. Instead, I’m constantly getting notices about temp, wind and what “might” happen. You leave one with no alternative than to turn off notifications. That, of course, nullifies the reason why you have KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp in the first place.
Another thing I have noticed is : The main reason I have tuned in to your weather is because you give a translation of the weather that is professional and informative, without the hype. Since this new app came available, your delivery seems to have changed. As if, because you have hounded people with the excessive details, you have to change your delivery (exaggerate every possible event) to make it interesting enough for folks to watch anyway. Too many missed forecasts because your focus doesn’t seem to be on useful information but theatrics to sell advertising. I understand that KXII is a business, but you are swimming in a sea of diminishing returns. I liked your station better before KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp . Just because you can do it doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. I want to immediately alert to that notification, because I know that what you have to say has relevance to my safety and security. As it is now, I have already turned off the notification sound, and am contemplating turning off the notifications altogether. KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp could have been a useful tool, but instead, it’s a nuisance. I know you guys are better than that.

I enabled the notifications for KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp initially, hoping to be informed about severe weather, but instead I'm constantly getting updates throughout the day - about the weather getting, getting hotter, it might rain, getting hotter ... it just seems unnecessary. I disabled notifications, which is unfortunate because getting alerts for severe weather would have been great but it's not worth being constantly bothered.

I have used the Fox WAPP for years, but KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp provides so much more data! I love it!

I love KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp so much keeps me posted right on it, works perfectly no issues .

First app in a while that is accurate.
The radar comes up first time & continues to work...

I have iPhone SE, iOS 13.1.1.
Hourly and daily forecast has stopped working. Not sure when it stopped, but presumably with the latest iOS update.
Otherwise, KXIIWeatherAuthorityApp has been a decently solid platform.

So sad to hear that KXII has selected to move weather alerts to the new app. Update received today 11/15/19.
I tried the new app when it first came out and removed it after a week because it was keeping me awake telling how many lightening strikes there were each minute in areas not even close to me.
It was wearing me out!
I will be changing to receive my weather alerts from KTEN.
