Abandon privacy

ThinkSpace , once loaded, asks for you to agree to their terms. When I looked at their privacy statement on ThinkSpace store I was horrified. It doesn't allow you to cancel the "Agree" moment with their app. I had to Force Quit and then deleted. Horrible privacy issues with their policy.

Edit: The developer's response shows that they are clearly out of touch with how most other apps handle privacy. The developer can not only see the data that you make with ThinkSpace , but they can link it personally to you. This is HIGHLY unusual in the industry and is a stance that we need to be very wary of. Thank goodness apple requires some clarity on a developer's privacy policy.

The EULA and Privacy Policy are Crazy!

You must agree not to break any criminal law (this is not resticted to use of their software, if you get a speeding ticket they can suspend you account and lock your data) and you can not be related to anyone they deem as unacceptable because they can suspend you account and lock-up your data. Futher more, all of your data is stored in their cloud service. If you request that they not look at your data, they say they will "think about it" - THere is also no way to "not agree to the terms" You must FORCE QUIT the application. I have never seen a company so "big brother-ish". They can keep the silly flow chart software.

What happened 🥺

I was super excited testing ThinkSpace out. Then I decided to actually commit and spend the 2.99 a month and then poof, all of sudden it starts glitching, freezing. Then all the squares don’t seem to operate the same or give you the same options. Now i want my 2.99 back. The templates were the same, the upgrade said you would get more templates. Maybe it is user error, which i strongly doubt, ThinkSpace has potential but needs more development. Stick with the trial app.

Crashed after first use

This seems like a great app with a lot of potential, but after I made my first bubble map and saved it to my photos it completely stopped working and I had to force quuit the tab twice. Hopefully this is fixed in the future.

Rather Unintuitive

I'm a busy person who expects that applications be intuitive, ready to use out of the box, with occasional recourse to documentation when exploring esoteric features.
This application may be intuitive on the iPad, but it really isn't at all on the Mac. A long collection of icons, but no hints on mouse over to suggest what they are for. Couldn't figure out how to enter text, and the documentation is poor, as in there is no obvious place to look for the meaning of the icons.
For thise who invested their time in figuring out the mysteries of this application, it may be great. For those who want to be productive quickly, look elsewhere and don't look back.

Confused, but holding hope.

this app is simply non-responsive after installation. I've checked that my system meets requirements. As it does, I'm lost to find a reason.

I really want to try this out. I am fully prepared to think it's great... but it needs to function! I've written directly to the developer with system details.

I hope I'll get a response that gets me going. I have 5-star hopes judging by feature descriptions and screen shots.

I want to like it

It's exceptionally counterintuitive, I can't find a manual, and there's no website linked to help you get used to how it is set up, since it goes against standardized gestures.

It has the features I want, but it's frustrating to use and you can't customize tool behavior. It's unfortunate that I can't find another app with the features this one has.

Desktop laggnig behind iOS version

I have been using the iOS version of this app on my iPad for a while and love it. It fills the mind-mapping app niche in a way that no other app does, so I was pleasantly suprised to see the macOS version in ThinkSpace Store.

The macOS 1.0.0 version seems to be a direct port of the iOS app, and the differences in the desktop versus mobile UIs are apparent. For example, zooming in and out on iOS is a simple pinch gesture that relies on the iOS touch interface. I have not found a way to zoom on the macOS version, since I do not have a multi-touch HID device such as a trackpad on my iMac. I hope to see a mouse/keyboard/menu-based way to zoom in the next update.

Export

If it is possible to add a chrome extension ThinkSpace would be revolutionary please look into this.

Advice

I really like ThinkSpace. I have been looking for an alternative to Scapple on IOS platform for a very long time, and ThinkSpace seems to be the one. It has all the features I need.

But I wish developers could also provide onetime-purchase for pro version.

We need a pro version one time purchase

We need a pro version of ThinkSpace - one time purchase. Many people will give 13$ for the pro version. Please don’t go into subscription mode. Your product is not a freaking antivirus

Wish the drawing was better

I do wish the pen tool had more function and the colors were easier to access/get custom colors, but overall I’m happy with it.

Becoming one of the better canvas+pencil apps

ThinkSpace is constantly improving, and is already one of the more interesting and useful canvas applications.

Mind maps, diagrams, common thought templates, there are a lot of tools here.

The monthly price is fair for cross-device sync (which must surely be challenging to program).

There are some bugs with screen rotation, and with overlays at the top of the screen (on both iPad and iPhone). But ThinkSpace will likely become one of the top pencil productivity choices in 2019.

I think I will like this app

This is my very first review. I just spent 2 hours searching for an alternative app to draw mind maps because the one that I used is now charging a super high subscription fee.

I guess the developer sacrifice efficiency for flexibility. You can organize the map in any way you want. Therefore, the cards are not automatically aligned, and you cannot create a sibling card by just press return which is a feature of other mind mapping apps. I think I can live with this small shortcoming for now.

I do hope that a desktop version can be developed. I am not used to do extensive work on iPad.

So much better app than those on the market

Supports many functionalities, and very intuitive to use, and it’s free!

Keeps with creativity & flexibility

I downloaded ThinkSpace back when I took organic chemistry, but I'm using it now for statistics. ThinkSpace lets me create mind maps but also routine flexibility in how I choose to create them. Overall I recommend it

This is my favorite app

Most other apps I use because I have to- I use this one because I want to it's so fun and very helpful!

tbh…… AMAZING

Only allows 2 files for free version but all u really need is 1. Super easy n simple mind mapping app 🙏 can’t think of what I don’t like about it. All I can say is keep goin

Missing Pro Features

ThinkSpace itself is great but the pro features are not all functional. I need to invite certain individuals to use and collaborate on canvases but the feature doesn’t work. I also can’t sync the canvases across my devices. I have multiple iPads and iPhones that I use for different reasons and the software does not share data between them. If those features actually worked I would be able to give the full 5 stars. But I am paying for features that don’t work. which is a problem.

out of this world

ThinkSpace is the best, and is much better than the second best. I hope I can give 10 stars.
