The info in sndwave does not reflect anything remotely resembling accurate info. I first tried sndwave a year or two ago and had the same issue so I stopped using it. I uninstalled after a few months, when it still never updated play time/play count/etc.

I noticed it has tons of positive reviews so I thought I’d give it another go. I have a different phone than I did when I first used sndwave ...and it still says I have the same amount of hours played as it did the last time I downloaded sndwave . My friend also tried sndwave and noticed the same issues, so this is not unique to me or my devices.

I know I have listened to a song for over 200 times and they only show I played it 105 times. Also, I have played the song for 9 hours because I at first I had two hours and then they took my hours away, so I had to start over. I eventually got back up to 7 hours and then they moved my hours down to 4 hours played. And they also moved how many times I played the song down. This isn’t the first time this has happened it’s actually happened several times with albums, artists, and other songs. Im not sure why this is happening but I would really love for sndwave to work please fix this.

Since the last few updates, most of the bugs have been fixed. I’ve been getting very accurate all time, monthly and weekly stats which are now updating in real time instead of every few days. I’ve been waiting patiently for my yearly stats to show, since that’s what I was most excited about. However, now that I’ve had sndwave for over a year and the yearly stats bar became available, it doesn’t work at all! When I click on it, all it shows is 0 hours for every stats. This is for sure one of the biggest problems I’ve seen since I first got sndwave and I know is one of the stats people get most excited about. Since I got sndwave way before it was popular, I’m sure not a lot of people have stumbled upon this issue yet, so I really suggest fixing it asap, before more people have this stats available and become as disappointed as I to see it doesn’t work at all...

i’ve had sndwave for more than a year, and before the major 2.0 update, it always worked perfectly with no bugs or glitches. with this new update, all my stats are just flat out WRONG, no matter how many times i “force refresh” my data. my week, month, and year data never show up- it always says i have 0 hours for every artist. my all time tab is the only /slightly/ accurate tab, notice the /slightly/, my top artists are ranked in the wrong order. i paid extra for the “pro” version when sndwave was in its prime, now it’s full of bugs and glitches that make sndwave very inaccurate :-/ only good thing is that clicking on an artists profile shows accurate stats for that one specific artist. please fix sndwave!!! i’ve been waiting for an update for so long!

I recently had an issue with Apple Music not downloading music properly, and I ended up having to remove quite a few records from my library and re-add them. This caused me to lose any play time I had racked up on those albums, and changed the date of first play to when I added it back to my library. This, however, didn’t take that time away from my total listening time. Around 50 hours of play time is now apparently occupied by nothing. Also, the time period for stats feature doesn’t work. It doesn’t record stats properly, so when I’ve listened to hours upon hours of music in any given week or month, it won’t show up in the respective time period, but it shows up in the total. Please fix sndwave.

Great idea and good concept. But the information just isn’t correct. Stuff like library creation date and how many songs i’ve skipped all time is just not accurate. It’s annoying because I spent 2 dollars on the pro version which wasn’t a bad purchase, just didn’t really seem worth it especially when sndwave barely functions with correct information. Also sndwave shows completely inaccurate things like my top album and artist are completely mixed and not factual, and my top songs list isn’t even there. Even so, I like the theme of sndwave and how it fits apple music. A really nice idea too. With a little work this could become a great app.

As a music enthusiast, I feel obligated to write this missive. First off, I loved the features and how it looks very similar to Apples'. Although you can see I'm very impressed with the design, the accuracy is not all that. Whenever I checked my most streamed albums, songs, artists, etc, I see all of them are mixed up in order. For example, I streamed 'Melodrama' by Lorde about 32 times according to sndwave , but the leaderboard says it is #7 on the leaderboard. I have another album that I listen to, Sour by Olivia Rodrigo. I streamed that album 29 times and it says it is #5. If you guys can fix this bug, that would be great.

I love sndwave but every update seems to bring a new set of problems. For my data to actually refresh I have to close sndwave while it’s refreshing and reopen. I can’t view top artists/albums/songs after refreshing. Time period stats take longer to load than before and are now wildly inaccurate (I didn’t listen to 800 hours of music in a week). Artist rankings don’t seem to refresh, as I have artists ranked 20+ spots below other artists who I’ve listened to much less. Overall way too many issues and slowed performance compared to previous versions.

I'm an avid music listener to is constantly listening to music. I can tell you off the top of my head who my top most listened to artists are and what my top most listened to albums are because I listen to them so much lol. Being that I have over 22,000 songs however, I think that is what is throwing off sndwave because nearly all my rankings are very inaccurate. It showed my number 7 album of all time to be an album I know for a fact I only listened to once because I didn't like it when I heard it lol. I know I didn't listen to that album for 46 hours like it says lol. And then my two favorite albums of this year that I listened to repeatedly don't even show up in my top 20, and one album I was just listening to on repeat yesterday shows up as 0 hours listened.

Also in my Top Songs it has things from artists that don't show up in my top 20 artists. That doesn't make sense for an artist who made my supposed most listened to song or album to not show up higher in the list. It's things like this.
I love the concept dude, but it's not accurate for me at all.

This was an awesome app to hear about and I paid the 1.99 for the full version. However the two flaws are that if I have an artist who has lots of songs with other people when I type that artist name, it only shows 4 results and not my entire list. This makes it hard to find the actual artist I want. The other flaw is that when you have big library like me it’s very slow to load and has yet to load my library. It’s a great tool if you want to keep track of your listening history. The last week flaw Is that sndwave is well over a week old and it doesn’t show the week stats yet. Terrible crap. Fix this crap!

When I first started using sndwave, it worked perfectly. Now, though, the month/week stats are wrong and always say 0 hours listened as well as never accurately has the artists/genres/songs I’ve been listening to during that time. And now I can’t play my top songs. It glitches and I can’t even see what they are past my top 10, which I think is the feature bc it gives me a place where I can genuinely listen to all my favorite songs without having to sit and make a whole playlist.

Please fix these issues! I love sndwave and paid for it, but I’m not getting the most out of it at this point and I’m not getting what I paid for

Many of the stats that can be easily verified on my own are inaccurate. My top artists and majority of my other stats haven’t changed since I initially downloaded sndwave years ago. Numbers change but I know for a fact that some are wrong, and the numbers I can’t really verify (like total hours) tend to be irrelevant. Very nice concept though and I’d give one star if I didn’t remember how awesome sndwave once was.
Probably just needs an update, but it’s been about a year since I noticed the inaccuracies so I’m finally leaving a review. Hope a developer comes back to sndwave soon… just a little bit more effort and I wouldn’t mind paying to access detailed features (like the year/month etc stats). Overall great concept, and once great delivery.

I was excited to find out my music listening hours as an Apple Music user. And after a few months of using sndwave, I see a few major issues. First off, the listening stats are always off. It seems like it only updates listening stats by 10 minutes at a time. I listen to multiple 45+ minute long albums by an artist, and by the end of the day my listening stats of that artist has only increased by 12 minutes. In addition, some features just flat out do not work. Every single listening stat for the month time period just flat out does not work.
I actually really like sndwave, despite all the negative things I have to say. I think with a few minor fixes I can safely give this a newer review of 5 stars. However, as of now some bugs are a bit frustrating.

sndwave has been very useful in tracking my listening statistics all time and weekly, but it does have one glaring issue that I haven’t been able to pin to something.

The song 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins is my third most played song of all time, but it doesn’t show up on the “most played” section. It has all of the plays when I look at the song individually, but it doesn’t show in the compilations, none of them.

i’m a big music listener and i love to compare music stats with friends but sndwave makes me question how real the charts are. when it shows my top 10 artists, it says one artist at the top but the actual top artist is #10. you can even see that i’ve played the artist more minutes than my “top” artist. this is really bothering me and if I payed for all of the features they better be good. but besides this glitch, everything else is great. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!

I love sndwave as an avid listener to music. A problem for me though, is my all time favorite album with higher stats than many of my other albums still places fairly low on my top 20 albums even though it has a higher stat than I think the next three or four albums ahead of it. Do you think you could fix this? It doesn’t make sense to me that an album I’ve listened to for 1612 min is ranked lower than one I’ve listened to for 759 or even 1222.

Really cool app to look at how you listen to music, don’t really have any complaints but it would be pretty cool if it could give minutes too instead of just hours. Also there are three tabs on the main screen that say “All Time”, “This Year” and “This Month”, however it only allows you to look at your all time stats. I think the creator was on to something cool that was just never fully developed, but I know I would personally like to see how my music listening habits change from month to month!! Overall great app thank you!!

This is a very well made app that lets me see a lot of info about my music I’ve always wanted to know. Some stuff is locked behind $2, but it’s and indie studio and you’ll barely notice. No real complaints, just maybe a couple recommendations, like seeing how many minutes you’ve listened to an artist or song in the last month or year tab, and maybe just improvements and additions to data in any place they can be made, but I really have to stretch to think of something sndwave doesn’t have

Some of the stats are not organized the way they should be. For example, my true top played artist is second with 1700 minutes. Yet, sndwave displays my “top artist” which only has 900 minutes. Small complaint, not really a big deal. Also, I’ve noticed the stats tend to be very out of order when app is first opened, requiring a refresh to get them to their most recent order. Nevertheless, this is by far the most comprehensive Apple Music library stats app, byfar

Overall, I see a lot of potential in sndwave (which is why I’m happy to donate towards future development), but there are some kinks that need working out. Many albums show as having zero songs, even though they show many plays and hundreds of minutes of play time. I’d also like more options for showing the data sndwave has access to and the ability to generate charts for most played songs, specific periods of time, etc.

I love it, great for checking your apple music stats.. there is a feature where you can look at stats just for this month that doesn’t really work, it kinda show your stats but they are always wrong, sometimes I listen a song in my library for 30 times and it doesn’t show in “this month top 10” but then I listen to other song like 3 times this month and it just jumps to number 1. “This month” feature could enhance sndwave, even though it is a great app even without it. Hope it works out in near future as I bought pro version and it seems like fun thing to track.

I love sndwave and I use it all the time to look at the stats for the music I listen to, playlists I want to create, and more! I’ve been using sndwave for 6+ months and highly recommend it.

Note to the developer:
There’s only one issue (bug) that I have with sndwave : when I select the “month” category, it shows 0 hours and just lists my artists in alphabetical order. Same thing for the “week” category, but I’ve had sndwave for at least 6 months. The “week” and “month” categories used to work, but after a few updates came out (post-iOS13), I started having this issue. SOS please fix this! I paid for the pro version and that didn’t fix it either.

Other than that, it’s an amazing app and I’m surprised Apple hasn’t made an offer to buy it yet.

sndwave is great and lets me see all of the stats that Apple Music should offer, but doesn’t. I would appreciate a way to change the way sndwave determines what songs are my top songs, mainly switching from amount of time listened to each song to amount of listens, mostly because many of my top songs I’ve only listened to a couple times and they’re at the top because they are especially long songs. Besides this, sndwave is perfect!

Its cool but I don't like how you have to refresh to see the updates and then when you click to “see all” you can’t unless you exit out sndwave and swipe it out as recents. Then also I don’t like how I have one artist way below top 20 when I’ve listened to them more than any of them above it. It should of stayed as top ten. I just don’t get how other artists are above them if I haven’t heard them nearly twice as much as them

I love sndwave and it is usually working for me, but ever since the new update songs I have listened to for hours on end aren’t moving up any lists. As well, in the weekly and monthly sections, the music that is there are songs I can confidently say I have not listened to in months. I know this is a newer feature, so I understand the bugs that could come with it, however if there’s a way to fix this please tell me! Again, sndwave is by far the best statistics app for Apple Music, so I greatly appreciate the work put into this!

I’m just kidding, I’ve ALWAYS wanted to see this data and was working on my own app that would do just this using Swift! I love sndwave so much, in the UITableViews I did notice that for longer titles the font resizing makes it almost impossible to read.. I had trouble with the same thing on a news app I’m working on, probably something you know but lmk if you find a solution!😂

(Also under settings, you capitalized the i iOS)

I think most people would prefer Top Artists and Top Songs to be ranked by play count rather than length of time listened, since some songs are simply longer than others.

Also, the Album Artist field should be used to rank top artists rather than artist. A lot of songs featuring other artists are broken apart from the actual Album Artist which leads less accurate data.

This is just awesome. Seeing how many times I’ve listened to songs or albums is so cool and kinda scary at the same time. The one thing I’d like to see is filter options so I can see how many times I’ve listened to a song in a certain year, see how many hours I listened to music in a certain year instead of all-time, etc. Otherwise this is just a cool app if you like numbers and stats about your music!
