I was pulling my hair out in frustration after trying another well known nanny payroll service. I couldn’t believe how hard everything was. Nest payroll was the exact opposite! They responded quickly with straightforward emails to my questions. Payroll was easy and they walked me through all the steps needed to have them pay quarterly taxes for me. At the end of the year there was a W2 for my nanny and a schedule H for me. Their service was worth every penny ! My nanny has recently moved on from our household. I was so happy to see that even canceling Nest payroll was easy, straightforward and pleasant. I highly recommend them !

Very easy to use. Great customer service. There was someone always available to chat on phone and answer all questions. They also helped me prepare taxes retroactively.

To begin, this review was not solicited by NestPayroll makers. This is my honest review.

When I became a mom on New Year’s Eve 2018, I was not prepared for the many challenges that lied ahead with my newborn. With no family nearby to help, I found a young person from my church to nanny for me. I heard that I would have to pay nanny taxes and figured that it would be something relatively simple to do. It wasn’t until my nanny needed a W-2 to do her 2019 taxes that I started looking into how to do this “nanny tax” thing and discovered that this process was anything but simple. I should have known better since we are talking about the government.

Anyways, I quickly realized that even though I had kept meticulous records of the hours that she worked and how much I paid her, the amount of paperwork that was needed and the interpretation of said paperwork would demand time from me that I didn’t have. So I started the search for a payroll company to help me.

I came across many options that wanted to charge me fees like I was running a business that was generating actual revenues. I’m just a mom working full-time and paying someone out of my personal salary, I can’t afford the high fees that they were seeking.

Somehow, I came across this app in NestPayroll Store and I’m glad I did. At the time they were not supporting the state of Florida yet. But I took a gamble and emailed them to find out when they will be up and running in Florida. To my delight and relief, they were getting ready to launch in my state that week. I had email contact with them multiple times that week and they were willing to answer all my questions and help me get set up.

I now do payroll for my two nannies without any complications and can send them professional looking paystubs. I am so grateful that I came across NestPayroll.

With COVID I had to hire a nanny for the first time, and one week into Nest Payroll I love it. I feel good that we are paying taxes and above board; the pay statement gets emailed right to the nanny and I can Venmo her in real time. This is 100% worth the cost.

When you compare what Nest does behind the scenes (not just telling you what you have to do), the relative price, and the service behind NestPayroll ... nothing better in the market for household employee payroll and compliance. Seriously.

App is great, but it’s the people behind the service that make this work. I never thought SMS support would be a good thing, these folks make it work seamlessly. They made payroll so simple even an orangutan like me can manage it.

After trying two other payroll services, and doing it on our own, I can confidently say Nest has the most amazing service! My husband and I are both educated, but found we were spending way too much of our free time figuring out paperwork…and new paperwork after a move. From working parent-friendly customer support hours, to a user-friendly app designed with a modern parent in mind, we have loved it! They have great email support, and the ability to fix some previous filings (or lack thereof). You can pay using Venmo, and view everything with the tap of a finger on your phone!

I really wanted little home with me as I do work at home however I still needed someone to watch her. This is an amazing App and they are very helpful when I have questions as I am new to running payroll. The Nanny appreciates it too so she can have proof of employment for buying a car.

I’ve been using this app for about nine months. I chose it because of the reasonable price point and integration with payment apps that make it so easy to pay our nanny. The one time I needed assistance, customer service was friendly, fast and efficient. I highly recommend NestPayroll.

I’ve been paying my nanny with Nest payroll for years and it’s been great. I add up hours on Friday when it’s still fresh in mind, and the nanny gets paid immediately. I do it on my phone on my schedule, not on the computer when the pay service is ready. Convenience matters!

100% recommend! I am so glad I found this service. Super easy to use and the customer service is excellent. They handle everything, all the filings and more, and take the worry out of it. Well worth the fee, which is also considerably less than other companies offering same service. I truly believe this is a company that cares about doing things the right way and for the right reasons.

I’ve used Nest Payroll to pay my nanny for the past 10 months and I’ve been impressed at every step along the way. This was my first time having a household employee and the team at Nest was so helpful in getting me set up and organized. Throughout the setup they shared their vast knowledge with me about the intricacies of different state and federal taxes and were quick to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend the service and the company!

I have been using Nest Payroll for a few months. It’s a lovely interface, super easy to use, and I don’t need to remember anymore to adjust a pay stub before a deadline like with the other, really pricey, service I used to use (I always missed the deadline so the hours would be wrong). Great customer service too, I text them and they reply back within a couple hours. I like the messages they send in NestPayroll when it’s tax time. I really don’t need to pay too much attention, but I know they are doing the tax work. Thanks for making it easy!
