It’s a bridge construction game. It gets difficult as others have said. Im about halfway through. I’m going to request a refund.
I’m most disappointed in the limited GLaDOS appearances. No taunting during the level. No commentary on gaining achievements. No pithy comment on level completion to take you down a peg. No over arching story. She doesn’t even make an appearance every level!
Part of what made portal great was the developing relationship between you and GLaDOS. You don’t get that here. There’s very little story.
You also get zero control of the physics in the puzzles. All the portals are static. The logic of the pathing part of the puzzle is often obvious. This is more a test of building a structure strong enough with limited anchor points.
Often you’re building the same basic structure, but there’s no ability to copy+paste, make templates, or move a group of points together, so much of your time is spent carefully rebuilding the same lattice.
If you already love bridge building games, this is prob a nice addition to your collection. But I bet the other titles by this same publisher may have better puzzles.
If you’re mostly here to spend more time in the Aperture Science Testing Facility, I’d caution this title is too meticulous for how little atmosphere there is. The devs could have had an amazing story, but it would require 3-5 times the voice acting. As it stands, it feels like a tacked on theme.

Gameplay is fun, but cloud syncing doesn’t work, played though first couple levels on my phone then opened the app on my iPad which wanted me to start over from lvl 1 so I went back to phone which had now reset my progress to lvl 1.
This would be annoying under normal circumstances but this game will not let you skip or speed up the tutorial levels and they are on timers so you often have to sit there waiting for the game to let you push a button so you can advance. Having to play through the tutorial multiple times with no way to skip and no way even to speed through the text is ridiculous could be five stars but is two due to silly UX decisions.

I install on iPad. I play 3 levels. I install on iPhone and I sadly have to start from scratch so I just pass the first quizz and dont play level 1. I go back to iPad the next day. I have to start again from level 1?! I play 5 levels. The next day I open the iPad and it loads from the cloud and I have lost all iPad achievements again! It feels like each time I open the iPad it restores from my iPhone saves that is level 1 and never actually overwrites and saves my iPad achievements. I REALLY dont want to play again those 5 levels to lose them one more time. Very annoying that I can not just chose where to load from.
The game seems good though.
