CamToPlan - AR tape measure Reviews

I needed to get an idea of how much square footage I needed for flooring. CamToPlan worked great, mapped the space I needed perfectly and gave my an almost exactly number to my own measurements. Pretty expensive app, but free trial won me over.

I’m sure it’s a great app. But you cannot use the free app properly because of the adds and pop ups. Will not let me pull up saved drawings. At least the free part should work correctly before I would purchase it techs.

at first i thought it would be really bad since I didn't pay for the. other version was really good only thing is that your lines have to be straight they don't correct them otherwise that app is great o

I have samples many apps to find the area of all of my driveway and other areas in and around my house and this one is so simple and works great!

This is just my first time using it but it has saved me at least an hour of work time already

This is an awesome app. I just bought a new house and was able to map it out quickly and easily. It was actually a lot of fun too!

I’d have paid for CamToPlan , but after an hour measuring a house, discovered that I had no access to the plans at all, without purchase that was not mentioned at all from CamToPlan Store. Deleted app, data and recorded company. Will not due business with thieves who waste my time.

By the way, simple geometry would lead to improved accuracy if you bothered to close the polygons and reregester line observed directions. Look up blind point surveying.

They charged subscription even after I canceled the trial & I deleted all trial information & app from my phone. They do not give an option to unsubscribe or cancel subscription they only offer resubscribe option. I would give a -10 stars if possible. I will never purchase anything from this company in the future. Now cancel my subscription!

Just downloaded this application and can already tell that is gonna be very helpful for every day uses.

Blinds, painting, carpet, tiles…wish CamToPlan was available at my last job- would have saved me a ton of time & money.

I was very skeptical of the accuracy, until I compared it with a tape measure.

For estimating, it’s an amazing tool. It’s an incredible time saver.

I’m going to give the pro edition a shot and see how well it works.

I went thru the trouble just to have t pay. Thank goodness I always screen shoot important things out of fear of losing them.

It is tagged free, but it’s not! It basically let you scan, but you can access your scans unless you buy the paid version. I had a one time access to a place for my school project, and I spend two hours to get there and do the survey. I could not access to the scan unless I paid….

I am very new at this measuring thing with my phone, but I believe I got what I wanted. It was easy. However, it was not terribly technical so as a new by I was very pleased.

The measurements work - but the way CamToPlan is designed trying to get you to spend $30 on a simple tape measure — it’s appalling. You can get around their scam and still use it - because in my experiments CamToPlan was most accurate out of 4 I tried - just take screenshot when done and make sure you don’t get caught in this click baiting

Easy and accurate. Just take a few trails to to get the feel.

So I like the concept of CamToPlan but be warned if you want to access the drawings that you made it either costs you 20 dollars per year or 28 once. Basically it intentionally or unintentionally makes you make a layout you need just to pay them money

Seems like an okay, if imprecise measuring tool, but the free version is pretty much useless. You can use it to get basic measurements, but once you save your plan, it immediately becomes off-limits without a $27 subscription.
A $2 tape measure will give you more exact measurements, and when you’re finished, you’ll have $25 extra dollars in your pocket.

I would have no problem paying the 20/yr for a good app but to make it look like a free app and then find that you get it free for seven days and are then automatically enrolled in a subscription is something different entirely. It’s dishonest. It should be required to be listed as a 20/yr subscription with a 7 day trial. Just be honest upfront.

I’ve tried other similar apps but this one works perfectly. Highly recommended.

After 2 days of use all I get are ads. I try to view my plans but nope.... just one stupid ad after another. It wants you to upgrade to premium with no ads but if you decline you only get to view ads and NEVER get to view your plans.

Not a bad application to walk along and get a good drawing

While I’m just learning how to use CamToPlan it wants a review. It’s doing what it says it can do. I will take a few real measurements to see how accurate it is. Money is on the line and this is not a toy for me.

I paid for the lifetime subscription to unlock the vertical and expert options and then discovered that when measuring doors and windows it doesn’t provide the measurements for where they are situated within the room. It’s therefore pretty useless to me and I’m not able to get a refund. Thanks Apple.
