Is the developer aware it stopped working several weeks ago? Maybe 1 out of 10 videos are playing anymore.
Would love to update my review down the road, but FrostWebMPlayerBrowser simply doesn’t work anymore.
Everything was perfect. They added the ability to name files that were saved and everything was great… then they took away the ability so save files. Ruined the entire app, it pains me to come back and lower my review. However, FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is now useless. I hope in the future they fix what they broke. Until then, I have to leave a negative review. Sorry, please fix FrostWebMPlayerBrowser.
I’m assuming the updates to Safari or iOS are the cause of these recent changes which make FrostWebMPlayerBrowser redundant and relatively useless.
WebM is now able to be played in Firefox and safari with audio and video.
FrostWebMPlayerBrowser previously allowed viewing of WebM content using a mini player that would appear at the top of screen as well as saving the file in app and full screen viewing. After recent updates however the WebM plays in the browser unable to full screen and utilizing the normal iOS file saving function.
Playback in FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is oftentimes rough towards the end of the file skipping the last number of frames while audio is unaffected. Freezes and crashes were not uncommon especially as the library of files increased.
You could still use it but it isn’t recommended or necessary any longer. You can view in your browser and save to your device using VLC or another player to view them offline. Consider donating the $3 you’ve saved to a not for profit project.
Was 4 star before and only was kept from being a 5 star due to the inability to slide my
Thumb back and forward to exit(back) or renter threads. I hate pressing the lil arrows. Changing this to a 1 star and they know why!! This isn’t what I paid for last month!!
New update has made it so videos play in page instead of on their own player at the top which has slowed FrostWebMPlayerBrowser and removed ability to save videos. If this is fixed app is 5 stars
It did its job fine when it comes to playing webms and you were able to download videos too which was nice. That changed sometime this weekend though since for whatever reason the video player changed without updating FrostWebMPlayerBrowser and it barely works now. Videos hardly load up for me now and when they do, I am now unable to download them since the button was removed to do so. Really disappointed since it was fine before. Sure it crashed seemingly when it wanted to and the interface could be better but it did what it was meant to do. The only thing to do now is to see if it gets “magically” changed back again…
FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is alright at the moment but it would really benefit from a gallery mode where you can swipe between all the different webms that are linked on one url
Also iPad support would be great

So, FrostWebMPlayerBrowser shows no update for the past 10 months. However, recently when used it shows the webms in a new, highly inferior layout. The old version was far preferable.
I bought FrostWebMPlayerBrowser because I frequently watch WebM content. For WebM videos FrostWebMPlayerBrowser works very well, haven’t had any issues with webms at all. I just wish it would open embedded videos straight from the site instead of just displaying them at the top 1/3 of the screen. The worst about FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is how many less features it has compared to the multiple free browsers that exist in FrostWebMPlayerBrowser Store. I cannot press and hold a link to copy it, can’t press and hold to open a new tab within the browser (it redirects you to safari or whatever default browser you use), I can’t save photos or webms without FrostWebMPlayerBrowser just crashing completely. These are features I thought I’d see in a paid browser app, but I guess not. Would really like some new features and for the existing ones to actually function properly, besides that this is an okay app for webms exclusively and not much else.
I love that webm’s now open in-line instead of at the top of the screen.
However, there is a new nuisance if having to unmute each and every video. The option to download has also been removed. If in-line playing can stay, with the above problems fixed, Frost will go to the next level.
It used to work flawlessly for me for the past year, in the last month it has gotten really poor. Maybe 1/10 of all the WebMs I click can actually play. I don’t wish to play lottery on which will load and play and which ones won’t.
If it were consistent I would give it 5 stars for how well it works for what it’s supposed to do, I’m not too concerned with additional features on the browser. Just want it to work for what I paid it to do.
If you intend to use FrostWebMPlayerBrowser for browsing Webm files, just know that on an iphone FrostWebMPlayerBrowser will crash and close itself about ~every 10 webms files opened. The browser saves your cookies and searches but there doesnt seem to be a way to adjust or clear it in FrostWebMPlayerBrowser settings. If FrostWebMPlayerBrowser crashes it closes everything you were doing and goes to your home page. Again, there is no way to view a history list, so you would have to navigate back to where you were
FrostWebMPlayerBrowser works perfectly for watching WEBM, but it’s lacking in some features like a history section, it crashes sometimes when I try to save a photo, and if I don’t use it for awhile it resets all my tabs. It can make following threads difficult.
This dude probably made it for the Ethiopian basket weaving website. No issues so far, latest update gave it fresh life into it, can save videos, watch webms in the Picture in Picture or fullscreen if you want
Has a lot of room for improvement. The ability to swipe left/right to advance through video library clips would be a great feature.
Great app only issue is that when you see a photo you want to save and tap add to photos it crashes FrostWebMPlayerBrowser . Tested it tons of times. Hopefully they work out that bug!
Great app that needs an update to be compatible with the annoying ios 15.5 update. I hope you fix this superior app that apple broke with their update.

Also needs the ability to change your homepage and to be able to go back by swiping left on the edge of the screen.

FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is everything I needed for um cute cat vids of course.
One thing I hope can get implemented.
- Make the video go full screen automatically. It’s kinda difficult using one hand to open a video and then hitting the full screen button.
If that’s possible then FrostWebMPlayerBrowser is perfect, I’ll give it 5 stars after!
