In the second grade, I was so terrible at math, I had to go to a special classroom (Title 1) to learn how to add and subtract using imaginary visual techniques located on the numbers. In high school, I didn’t take Algebra 1 until my junior year, and when I did- I cheated my way through. I failed Algebra 2 and withdrew from Geometry because I couldn’t stop falling asleep. Now after 6 years of graduating from high school, Jason (the instructor) explains things so well, that I’m being placed into Calculus next semester- graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. He really hits the nail on the head when it comes to both explaining concepts and helping you understand that math is a skill that needs developed- not some superhuman talent that you are born with.

Unfortunately, MathandScienceTutor and website subscription plans aren’t connected, but I purchased the 3 year WEBSITE plan bc it brings the monthly cost down to about $8/month. While it was a large lump sum, it’s way cheaper than an in-person tutor which is like $50-$120/hr in my area. Since covid 2020 hit... moving to online college, it’s basically like teaching yourself every class since most classes lecture hours have been cut in half and some professors just post poorly explained videos to watch that don’t allow any engagement. Jason’s videos really break down the material thoroughly with lots of examples so it’s easy to comprehend. It’s really unfair that we can’t just divert our professor’s salaries to this man!

Honestly not one to write reviews but feel this one needs more attention. In the past I only used clutch-prep as an online tutor for my college courses but stumbled across math tutor when clutch didn’t have engineering mechanics. This was honestly a life savior and got me through the class I was taking the pre-req for during that time. Now this is my go to for a simple breakdown of many classes that I’m currently or going to be taking. Plus you get the same guy teaching you each thing so you become familiar with him and his teaching style. All in all, i truly hope he gets more attention so he keeps expanding his library of classes.

I have been struggling in math because manly my teacher just gives us a book and plenty of homework and expects us to do it all and understand but she isn’t teaching us she’s just telling us to read a book and to the problems. Most math books are confusing, she isn’t explaining anything about math just check homework and give out test no explanations what so ever and MathandScienceTutor has helped me so much bringing my grade from an F to a B+ with such well educating explanations that is very clear leaving you with no questions and confusion. Overall recommended to the highest concept.

I’m updating my review. Loved the instructor and layout. I had an issue with ios11 but the developers got in contact and corrected the issue quickly. Super happy. The instructor is great very informative. Wish there were more videos breaking down more stuff for linear, but he covers the main topics really well. I’ve told so many of my class mates about he app mostly engineering, computer science and math majors. It has been a life saver, the book doesn’t really breaks it down or show examples. Watching the videos have cleared up my confusion.

I have been using MathandScienceTutor for approx. 3 mos now. I watch 3 or 4 vids a week. At almost 60 yrs old my math skills were, at best, very weak. After a few months I feel that I have learned more than all my time in high school. If I had an instructor like Jason in school I would have done better... he’s great! I have no probs paying monthly for these classes. For the first time in my life I am enjoying learning. Huge thank you to Jason and the creators of MathandScienceTutor. A must have for anyone who wants to learn at their pace!

I downloaded MathandScienceTutor for my iPhone, so I could listen anywhere anytime, but it doesn’t give the option to sign into an existing account. I downloaded it onto my TabA and the same thing there. I have to open up a browser window on Google Chrome to sign in and access my subscription. I guess that is fine. I can download the video and watch it all the same. MathandScienceTutor needs upgrades. The advertisement video made it sound better than it is, in my opinion. If you can’t sign in you can’t have full access. The web browser works fine though

I purchased my subscription through the website and I downloaded MathandScienceTutor hoping I could stream from MathandScienceTutor with my paid membership however I was met with that option not being available and now I have to go on the web if I want to watch a video instead of being able to stream through MathandScienceTutor .

We homeschool & just as I was beginning to think I was going to have to find a math tutor, I stumbled across MathandScienceTutor. So grateful! Instruction videos worked on a whiteboard by the instructor. His pace is measured and his instruction easy to follow and understand. Basic addition/subtraction videos are short but after that videos are 20 - 45 mins long. My son has gone from “I don’t get it” to “Oh, I get it - this is easy!”. Music to my ears.

I am taking physics in college right now and I have been struggling. MathandScienceTutor is unbelievably helpful in breaking down the equations and explaining what each part is contributing. I love apps like this. Clean, easy to use and it seems like it was made by people that legitimately enjoy teaching. A+ to the creators. Once I am finished with my degree I plan to contribute in any way that I can.

All College Students! You need MathandScienceTutor. We all know how stress is among us 24/7. So why cause more? When I’m working on homework, it’s so easy to just take a pic of what I’m having issues with and get help right then and there! It has saved me much stress and probably several pounds that would be added in eating that stress!

I have used MathandScienceTutor to supplement my college statistics course and the first semester of inorganic chemistry. In short, John’s explanations of the concepts are very clear and intuitive. He actually writes the concepts and examples on a board! No slides! I cannot recommend MathandScienceTutor enough. My husband enjoyed the electrical circuit lessons and my sons can’t get enough of the science experiments.

I love MathandScienceTutor and the videos. I was having a hard time finding an easy catalog but saw the reference today from the developer that the catalog is in upper left. Found it. Perfect. Just what I needed. I really love MathandScienceTutor and all the classes. Can you make the catalog an icon ? My app has nothing to suggest the catalog is in upper left.

I love MathandScienceTutor! It really helped me at through my classes! I hate math, and wasn’t doing well in my math classes because I couldn’t understand Anything. I had a friend tell me about MathandScienceTutor and I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful MathandScienceTutor was. My grade went from failing to passing with in a few weeks. Love MathandScienceTutor; I will recommend MathandScienceTutor to anyone!

The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of the 5 stars it deserves is because MathandScienceTutor doesn’t have capability to login to the subscription I purchased on the website. Other than that though, Jason is the best teacher in the world, thanks so much for these videos.

I have a subscription for the desktop version but it seems I need another subscription for the mobile application. The lessons are great just wish I could log into the mobile app as well.

I don’t typically do reviews but after having used MathandScienceTutor I had to make an exception. It has honestly saved me a great amount of time and stress understanding concepts in calculus. I am a single parent with children so my time is very limited on studying to understand mathematics. This is a true lifesaver and I DEFINITELY recommend it.

I’ve always been terrible at math. As an adult I had to take a basic skills test for a certification and I was pretty scared. I worked for 2 months with these videos and went into my test super confident. Would definitely use again.

I use two iPads with the same Apple ID. Purchased the monthly subscription, but the locked videos are not opening up on the second device. I have tried deleting/ rebooting etc. Keeps prompting me to sign up again.

There are no icons for the sidebar or the search bar at the top of the screen, so I had to guess that they were there. It was kind of confusing.

Also, there is no way to subscribe. I looked everywhere in MathandScienceTutor . How does one subscribe?

We paid for the subscription, but cannot watch the videos. They are still locked. We keep getting a message that we need to pay again and we even clicked on it and it says we have already paid. What are we doing wrong?

I just watched my first video on MathandScienceTutor for Chemistry and it helped a lot. The tutor is very clear and focuses on the basics without leaving out important concepts. I’m definitely going to use this to get me through Chemistry and beyond. I can’t believe it free!

Jason is really great at what he does. He is very smart and lays out the material in a way that I can understand. It takes 20 dollars to access all the material and honestly it is worth every penny. If you’re struggling, this is where you should go for help.
