Die or Dice

No doubt that this is a great app for when you’re missing dice for most games. I was disappointed when I could only create one custom die. I was not able to play the game I wanted because it required crating two different custom dice. I felt it was accurate and yet misleading that I could “create dice” since I could only create one at a time. If there is a way to create more than one custom die I apologize because I couldn’t figure it out. If there isn’t, I would hope there was a way to add this option. I would not have purchased Dice3D7pixels had I known that I could only create one die at a time...but I still want to support the developer so no refund required.

I want to love it...

This looks like it would do everything I could ever want in a dice app. My problem is Dice3D7pixels seems like it doesn’t want to take my money. If you have a die already open and you go to edit it, you cannot access the catalog of new or custom styles, only what you have already downloaded. It took me way too much time to figure out the only way was to add a new die, and then you had access to the “catalog” button. When I finally found that, went to the bottom and selected “create your own dice,” I was finally given the option to unlock premium. The next problem was when I clicked “unlock,” I got “Oops! Something went wrong. Purchasing unavailable.” Next, I tried to contact the developer through the website. There was a “contact us” section, but there was no “submit” button.
I’m sorry to put in a three star review on what looks like is an awesome app that will perfectly meet my needs, but it looks like this might be my only way to provide feedback. Please provide a “upgrade to premium” button in the main menu or a free and a premium version in Dice3D7pixels Store. (Now shut up and take my money!🙃)

Overall great app, but this last update...

Solid dice app, lots of customization, good stuff. But with this last update a day or two ago, the dice roll like they’re on the moon... they’re super floaty, and they’ll take weird bounces. Some will bounce around for like 7-8 seconds, and at times as it seems they land, but then they’ll do some physics-defying flips to other numbers.
So yeah, solid app but the physics took a REALLY weird hit with the last update.

Good but some things I don’t understand

When you start, you only can roll certain dice. Don’t sure how I did it but unlocked them all. I think it would be better if you get the normal dice off of the bat. I did some long testing on the d20s and it had odd results. I rolled it over 250 times and I found that there is certain numbers that are rolled quite a bit more commonly than others. I documented every roll and ended with and average of 11.1. Seems a little high but reasonably close the the expected average of 10.5. The only thing that lowered its rating was the off beginning and certain numbers being rolled fairly commonly while others are much more rare.

This app has a bug problem

Dice has a huge bug that crashes Dice3D7pixels when ever I try to make custom dice, I currently have dice for envisioning custom character ideas and it’s annoying when Dice3D7pixels crashes right when I try to make a new custom dice. Can you please fix this bug that’s been crashing Dice?

Second review

Can’t find my first review, was going to upgrade it. Still can’t get customization to work on iPad, but dev answered impressively fast and is looking into it. The other issue I had apparently was an oddity with a button not showing up, no idea why, but it’s not an issue anymore. Even with everything, it’s still the best dice app I’ve found and I have already recommended it to several friends.

Only 1 thing I’d change

This is a great app; the only thing I’d change is being able to actually “hold” the dice with your hand, swing it around and let go.
This way you get a more authentic dice roll instead of just tapping on it and watching it bounce around.
(You can delete the dice by simply swiping down on it, but I feel it would be better if down was a direction you could roll it, and keep the secondary way of deleting the dice by pressing down on it and selecting delete)

Also, could you make it so your color preference saves with the dice? If you are switching around a lot like in DnD, its just easier to not touch the colors and go with the standard black dice it gives you.

Great app! Keep it up, a couple more updates and this would be 10/10 would use all the time!

Almost perfect

Beautiful app, it’s easy to use and lets you create all sorts of custom dice (with in-app purchase, which is totally worth it).

Falls just short of 5 stars, only because the way to create and save the “setups” is really clunky and unintuitive. You save a setup by switching to another setup, which means that if you remove a die or add one just for a one-time roll, as soon as you switch setups for a different roll, the changes are saved and your original setup is now ruined. Very annoying when you’re playing a game and the GM gives you a bonus die for example just for this one roll. The setups should be saved only when you want them to be saved (an additional button on the setup drop down for example, alongside the “edit name” and “delete” buttons).

Other than this design issue, I definitely recommend Dice3D7pixels.

Great App, Great Designer!

Not only is Dice3D7pixels itself wonderful, but the Designer is as well. Very responsive and open to suggestions. I love the quality, realism and customization in the Dice. I’d honestly give it 10 stars if I could. Ironically, I have gotten so much value from Dice3D7pixels that I reached out to find if there was a version that I could pay for....truly feeling guilty about using it for free. Great stuff.

Good app

I really like it. However I have a few problems. I can’t figure out how to change the color of the dice. Do you have to buy them, or is it in the settings? So confused. I also would like some more options, such as more backgrounds and easier controls that actually do what you want them to. But Dice3D7pixels works great for any purpose, and the dice are very fair and random.

How is this not bigger?!

Truly top notch. I’m currently running the free-to-play version and it is quite amazing. It has a wide range of options including dice types not typically seen in apps. From what I can tell, the pay-to-play also allows for custom dice to be made. This is of interest personally because I have a couple games with unique dice. This would come in handy for those. Well done!!

Great dice roller with lots of features

Works very well for my needs. The one feature I’d like to see added is the ability to require a two-finger tap to roll. It’s a little too easy to accidentally bump the screen and roll the dice when you didn’t intend to. I see this especially being an issue in a situation where you want to pass the device around.

This is a great app!

I really enjoy your Dice app. It does just about everything. If I could I would change two things to make it perfect. 1. A down swipe should lock the dice instead of remove it (or make the gestures customizable) 2. Allow a gesture (press and hold?) to enable a user to move or drag individual dice around on the table in order to group them. Still rates 5 stars. Thank you so much for such a fantastic app!

Just what I needed... love it... free too!

Used board game was missing dice so downloaded this quickly to play. Loved it the free version did exactly what we needed. 2 d20 and 2 d6 all different colors. I was able to quickly figure it out without instructions and get playing. I will highly recommend this dive roller !!!! Didn’t find out about the swipe up and down until later but they would really help with other games. :)

Few Suggestions

First off, absolutely LOVE Dice3D7pixels ! I was struggling to find an app where I could make custom dice and roll multiple different ones at a time. This fits both needs!

My first and main suggestion is to make the SUM feature add up all numbers shown, even if there are words or symbols after them. Or make it so that if you have a number with a period after it still SUMs with the rest of the numbers. I have custom dice with effects as well that I still want to sum with my other non-effect dice.

My other suggestion is to add the ability to add emoji to the custom dice! This would allow you to create dice with more graphic symbols.

Hope you consider my suggestions and keep up the great work :)

This is power.

I have never experienced such an overwhelming sense of pure power. I used this to choose whether or not I would finish a game playthrough, on the hardest difficulty. 1 for yes, 2 for no. It landed on 1 and I finished with no interruptions and I did it perfectly. I then used Dice3D7pixels to choose whether or not I would go out for food, 1 for yes, 2 for no. I landed on 1, but my buddies decided they didn't want to get food. Then, a friend of mine came in my house with Taco Bell, and it was for all of us. No one ever asked them to get food, and they did it before we could've asked them anyways. Also there's no ads, so yeah 5 stars

Honest Banker: Realty

So you have exalted GRAVITY in the mix. Is that before you lose in the Company Spelling Bees, or drug cartels wondering what artificial intelligence sticker will ring for the numbers recently placed?

Let’s look from a number recognition expanse. Random numbers can exist without connotations to connect. It would equally cost you nothing unless you were an honest banker. By then, you would connect Microsoft through Macintosh to enjoy the spoils of Apple and their other products known to exist to compliment each other. – Have you ever read about plutonic solids?

They’re not known until they land. And if “Hi(gh)” confuses you in-person, relate the intelligence without a receipt following.

Hands Down the Best!

This is definitely the best dice rolling app. You can have multiple different configurations and set ups. It’s 399 one time to upgrade to premium. Even the free version doesn’t have a ton of ads, and they offer so much flexibility. Don’t be fooled by the lack of ratings on Dice3D7pixels, it’s still new, and they’re still making more stuff. There are a lot of features that I would like to see in the future. First of which is being able to copy dice from one set up to another, and being able to link or unlink the percentage dice. I really like Dice3D7pixels, and I will be using it for my dice rolling in the future. Keep up the great work, I look forward to updates!

The Best Physics-Based Customizable Dice Roller

Ever since I first saw a smartphone, I wanted a dice roller that would respond to me shaking the phone in order to roll the dice. Simple enough, right? But by the time I got a smartphone of my own I couldn’t find any. Other dice rollers sufficed, but I wanted that visceral quality. Dice3D7pixels features that, but everything else about it is what really inspired me to write a review. The inexpensive full version of Dice3D7pixels lets me download templates that I can put into Photoshop and easily design my own dice. I’ve made custom dice for a ton of my RPGs now, including the ones that required specialty dice. You can save custom backgrounds with sets of dice and save them so you can easily switch between sets when you play. Dice3D7pixels is the best dice roller I’ve found, period.

Best dice app yet!!

This is just what I was looking for! You can shake to roll the dice and hear the sounds!

The only feature I’d request is a faster way to add more dice, as we change how many we have each round of our game, but it’s pretty easy to add more dice with the menu so no complaints here!
