Well, they went and made it even worse yet. Now while you’re working on a picture, random 3-5 second ads pop up forcing you to stop and watch this thing. Can’t believe the screwed up such a great app so bad. Had posted a review but seems they had taken it down, guess they can’t take criticism very well. This game was great, the new update completely ruined the “relaxing” game play it used to have. I enjoyed CrossStitch so much I purchased the subscription for it, unfortunately the update has forced me to cancel the subscription and move to a different app. Please for the love of everything holy, change it back to the great app it used to be.

Definitely will be switching to another app. Now this thing won’t recognize my subscription. Won’t even recognize when I “restore purchases”. Only way to get back in is to try and resubscribe, then it recognizes my subscription. And to top it all off, it went and erased the 1000+ bombs and bucket tools I had. I can’t believe how crappy CrossStitch has become. And this crappy company absolutely will not respond to any emails sent to them.

This has been my all time favorite app that I spend hours on daily. Now the creators have taken away your 200 coins for sharing?! Completing pictures, collecting coins for your hard work, and then unlocking new packs is what gives the game an objective. It’s what keeps us going! It also creates a great bond between my best friend and I who collects my pictures. It made that reward extra sweet.

I seen in a previous review that the creator’s reason was because some users were unable to collect the reward on different devices. THEN FIX YOUR APP! Don’t punish everyone else. Your updates say “Improvements” yet you took away the game’s key currency system. If you don’t bring back the 200 coin sharing reward then you must lower the price of picture packs to make up for the deficit. Otherwise, this change looks like a disloyal grab for money. Please fix this soon. I’d love to give back my raving 5 star review. Until then, I just can’t dedicate my time to CrossStitch after betraying their loyal fans and customers. 💔

I use to love CrossStitch. I pay for the subscription version of it. I color on it everyday all the time. I have no idea what happened with the newest update. It’s like everything has gone wrong. I can’t color on it without filling in the wrong squares where I’m coloring so I keep having to erase all of it. When we use to zoom out to look at the picture and zoom back in it would go to the spot we were working on but now it goes to the middle of the page every time so you have to move back to where you were work. And doing that is a challenge cause it’s like it’s glitching while moving it around. You can’t put the view as close or as far as you want anymore. There is only far away and close up. Trying to fill in the square at the far away view is almost impossible and the messes are bad. The close up the mess ups are bad and the coloring is not smooth at all. It’s silly for me to be so upset/sad about it but everything has changed and obviously not for the good. Like I said I loved CrossStitch and just not sure I want to use it anymore much less pay for it. Is there anyway of getting the version before this last one bad? Will there be any changes on the future updates to fix anything? Please let me know. Thank.

I am absolutely so mad at this game right now. I was in the middle of coloring a picture, and the whole app completely glitched and shut me out of it. So, as one does, I swiped out of CrossStitch and got back into it, to realize that ABSOLUTELY ALL of my progress AND picture packages I have bought with my coins are COMPLETELY GONE!! Not only that, but at least HALF of the new packages that have been added on there in the past few years are gone too. So, I can’t even repurchase the packages I had because THEY AREN’T THERE. There is 35 picture packages I can now buy, and that is all. It’s like the game completely rebooted itself to its original version when it only had a few packages to choose from. I have had CrossStitch for so long, and I hsve expressed my concerns with CrossStitch, but something like this has never happened to me before. I’m at the point where there’s no use for CrossStitch anymore, because there isn’t even any appealing packages on there anymore. If this problem could be fixed and my progress could be restored, I would continue to love this game and I would give it a full 5 stars because I absolutely love CrossStitch. However, I’m not playing a game where it crashes and loses all my stuff.

I wanted to love CrossStitch, I really did. I've used similar color by number type of apps and really enjoyed them, so I thought this one would be a new favor of mine. The biggest problem I have is not being able to pan around the picture with one finger. I primarily use CrossStitch while holding my phone in my right hand with my fingers on the back and my thumb on the screen doing all the work. When I need to push around the picture, which is almost constant, I have to put the phone in my left hand and use two fingers on my right hand. While this isn't the end of the world, I prefer to use one hand. I guess I could hold the phone in my right hand and use my thumb and pointer finger tip pan around and keep my other 3 fingers in the back, but that feels unnatural. Maybe it would be better on my iPad. I also don't like that you have change your tool to unlock your mistakes. I think it would be easier to just double click on the box that has a mistakes to make it go away.

i don’t even know where to start or how to title this, i used to love this game and part of me still does. for one, i’ve been having a problem with finishing my cross stitch’s where it doesn’t get every blank square. now i’ve learned to live with it and sometimes it doesn’t bother me but that’s just one thing. now i’ve learned just recently that they updated this game and i am not a fan. i love to get my gifts every time from completing cross stitch’s including the prize at the end. now, it won’t let me collect them unless i restart the cross stitch. for example, i was doing one and i had some saved prizes to collect for a later time and yesterday i went on it and finished my cross stitch. all i got was like 100 coins and i still had 260 coins to collect but it just won’t let me do it now. and then i started another new one, once i hit the 25% mark it showed up for me to watch a video but if i didn’t, then the gift would go away. i am just not a fan of this, i hope this review makes sense. i am only trying to be nice and give my honest opinion, but the game developers or whatever apparently do not look at the games reviews. i want these problems to be fixed, i personally think this is a terrible update.

Hey. I love the game it is absolutely awsome that you can import pictures and stuff, but a quality of life update is needed. A "quality of life" update are simple but crucial things that make the game more enjoyable for players. And in my opinion, here are some small tweaks and things you guys could implament: the coin option at the top right of the screen that pops up from time to time while drawing should offer coin variety for each one, so instead of just 50 coins each time, players will be more enticed to press it if it is more, such as 80, 100, 120, and max 150 coins. I would certainly watch more ads for even 100 coins. Another feature is dark mode toggling. I personally love drawing at night and the light mode can be straining on the eyes. Lastly, i really liked the flat non-animation look of coloring the squares from a few years ago rather than the one where the squares fill in now. So if there could be a setting for that it'd be great. That's all for this review, game is nice but needs a little bit of player quality improvement.

CrossStitch has had some pretty good improvements over the years (I’ve been playing for give or take 4 years on and off). It doesn’t drain device battery like it used to, the stitch sound now has an option to turn it on and off so you can listen to music while you play now without it stopping when you start stitching, the coin reward system has changed and you now have more coins than you could ever want when working on a project. Those are the good things. The only bad thing I have (and it’s pretty major) is the pictures you’re working on will finish too early. What I mean by this, is when you have, for example, 5 empty stitches left, it automatically triggers as being finished despite not having filled them in. It leaves a big white blank spot in the pictures, which just ruins the entire thing. Why spend hours on a cool picture just to have it ruined by the game finishing the picture before it’s actually done? This, to me, is a huge disappointment and I’d like to see it corrected soon, as it’s been an ongoing issue for at least a year. Hope you see this devs. I love the game, and pay monthly for the subscription but I’d really like this issue fixed so I can enjoy stitching again.

I just updated my game today and lost all the packs I purchased besides one of them because you removed those packs and I lost the money from purchasing the coins for these packs. You’ve completely removed these packs from the entire game so I can’t even specifically list them all, I had at least an Aurora pack, a couple sunset packs and a waterfalls pack. I am extremely disappointed in this apps team for removing these packs with no warning and no coin reimbursement for the coins I essentially lost now that these packs don’t exsist, you can do better this is unacceptable.

I first reviewed on the 13th about losing my progress but after todays(24th) update my packs have been restored. I can’t say this has been fixed for Everyone yet as I’m only one person but I do appreciate getting a response and having the issue reverted. I hope whatever bug has caused this has been found and resolved so that this won’t be an issue in future updates. I also hope everyone else who has put money into this game gets their stuff back so please be sure to update your game and check your packs and everything again.

I love CrossStitch so much, I play it pretty often, and it’s a great stress reliever. Although, for almost 2 days now, ever since I connected it to my Facebook, every time I open CrossStitch , it crashes after about 3-5 seconds. It won’t crash if I’m not connected to Facebook. If i am connected to Facebook, but not connected to the internet, then it won’t crash, but none of the pictures will load. I have deleted CrossStitch and reinstalled it several times, cleared it from my recent apps several times, and tried turning off my phone and turning it back on. Nothing works. I don’t want to play it without it being connected to Facebook because I don’t want to lose the packs that I have bought. It’s obviously a problem with CrossStitch and Facebook, not my phone. How can I fix this? (This was a review i wrote over a year ago, but forgot to send)
Since then, I have gotten a new phone, and the problem still persists. Please fix this!

I have been a subscriber to this game for many years. I love it, it helps me to relax and keeps my hands busy while watching tv. I use the import option for pictures primarily. I find that I enjoy them a lot more because I can choose content I prefer, and make the pictures bigger and therefore more challenging to complete. Although I have noticed recently that the weekly posted selected have gotten better with subject and content. My one suggestion to make this game even better would be the option to select multiple completed pictures for deletion. Right now you have to delete each completed picture individually. This takes ALOT of time when you’ve been “coloring” imported pictures for years and now it’s causing my game to crash when searching for blank imports I left behind uncolored.

Great game but it over heats your phone so quickly, especially if it’s plugged into the charger. And it drains the battery really quickly. Definitely needs some updating and bug fixes so it stops overheating people’s phone. Also there needs to be a mute option for the sound of the game. So many games have the option to mute just the sound that it puts off so players can have other audio on their phone playing without having to hear the sound of the game at the same time. Makes it impossible to listen to music or watch tv on your phone while playing and when on the phone it’s really annoying and inconsiderate to the other caller. I love playing the game- I play it every second that I am not busy I just really wish I wasn’t mildly disappointed.

I am recovering from a very vast illness of the times I struggle to do anything and have been trying to do crossword puzzles online with friends. I just wanted to say that after doing those puzzles with great frustrations my wife had started using CrossStitch.
One day I saw her pictures and I asked her to send me some of them threw the email so I could enjoy them. My wife is very good with puzzles games etc. so I thought I’m glad she has the talent!
Just yesterday she told me to try using that program and playing with this game to which I said I have no artistic ability etc., but I didn’t and she asked me too and began to try with it it was a brief explanation from her I continue forward. Now I just finished my first picture and it stunning! And may wife asked me to email it to her so she could enjoy I am very very happy with this beautiful app because it takes many brain away from the problems at hand. I need that and I am happy I had found it.

As a person who did the real thing (counted cross stitch) for many years, I found this game to be a look back at how much I enjoyed doing it back then. But.... CrossStitch has become a real obsession, and in the last few months I’ve spent countless hours doing it!
My only criticism is, I’m not fond of the pictures they provide (for “coins” that you can buy for cash or earn by watching ads mostly for other apps). I earn all my coins and do not find letting 30 second ads play (sound muted). to be bothersome. I have “purchased” some of their picture groups which are quite good but not nearly as good as the pictures I’ve downloaded from Google images which can be imported and used. I still have to use my earned coins in order to use my own images but I’m much happier with the result. I think the developer needs to take a fresh look at whoever is choosing the pictures they offer. Other than that, however, I love, Love, LOVE CrossStitch.

This game is very nice. We’ll start with the good things. The ads aren’t excessive. The option to use my own pictures is very nice, I don’t like being limited to the default images so I was pleased. Coins help to unlock the pics you can do, and they aren’t near impossible to get, like in some games I’ve played. Now a few of the wrinkles that could be fixed in an update.
The sensitivity when I’m trying to move around the image is a little touchy. Not a big problem. The main thing I don’t like is the “lucky wheel” mechanic. It gives you different rewards if you watch an ad or pay coins, but it seems a little rigged. I always get fifty coins. Once in an aggravating while it will give me six bombs. But like I said, it takes forever to get anything that isn’t a disappointing amount of coins. Great game overall, keep up the good work!

Giving it 5 starts because I LOVE CrossStitch. Have used it daily for years. It relaxes me when I watch tv or have conversations. This newest update is very frustrating. The small size is too small. And the zoomed in size isn’t fun to do either now because it is so touch sensitive. I used to be able to get through a picture really fast without hardly any mistakes. Now when I’m coloring one square and not even touching the ones next to it (I’ve been very careful to make sure I’m not touching the surrounding squares) it colors them anyways and I’m constantly having to undo the mistake. Makes it not so relaxing. Please fix. 🙏🏼

i LOVE CrossStitch! i play it every time i'm about to go to bed and it's VERY relaxing! i have one little problem though, i just got a new phone and i was almost done with multiple pictures on my old phone(which i was signed into my google account) and when i went to go get CrossStitch again and sign into my google account NONE OF MY PICTURES WHERE THERE!!! everything that i've colored were gone and i had to start from scratch again! i tried logging out and logging back in many times and deleting CrossStitch and reinstalling it and it was still gone! is there something that i have to do in order to bring them back? or can you make it so if you sign into an account that's on a different device everything will transfer over to the device you're currently using.

I found this gem years ago when I had a Samsung Note 4 (it’s special tech pen was a huge plus for this) I’ve got an iPhone 6s Plus now and just rediscovered this baby whilst pursuing game apps to play for fun and just to see what’s new in the market. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw it. Took me under a day, off and on of course. The need to earn coins to purchase packs to “stitch” is new and the only “eh” fleeting hesitation I experienced. But the first and then daily logins for at least a week provide a decent enough amount of coins to start a good amount of fun relaxing me time. LOVE CrossStitch, then and now! 💝 finished the castle picture from the small free selection (its gorgeous) now I’m going to purchase with my game earned coins my first pack and get my blissful stitch on!! 💖💖💖

Well, I was having fun until this latest install where I lost 20 pictures that I had bought!!!!! I also can’t find the one I was working and almost finished with😡. I looked through the categories and could not find them so please HELP me get them back!!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this game! I used to cross stitch all the time but can't now due to poor eyesight. This game lets me "feel" like I am cross stitching again without the pricks from a needle! I also love that it will show me my mistakes! This is a very nice way to relax and relieve stress! The only problem I have is that the instructions aren't clear or are non-existent. Also, where do you find out the number of coins you have???

I’ve been using CrossStitch for 5 years now and love it. I was waiting for the new update for everything to turn back to normal. When I clicked update everything turned back to normal. Except every time I click the little person icon on the bottom right where all the pictures are saved, it freezes. I can’t click anything and nothing pops up. But it’s only when I click the person icon. Every other button works but when I click that one, I can’t move or click anything. It only started happening after I recently updated. I tried restarting my phone but that didn’t do anything. I would delete CrossStitch and restart again but I have so many pictures that I’ve done and I don’t want to lose all of them. Is there a reason for this? I was so excited to get back into playing the game after the update but now I can’t even click on the photos to play.
